Stop, take a breath and admire this panorama. To the Tatras, Pieniny and Czorsztyn Lake. Once you have oxygenated all your cells and saturated your eyes with the beauty of nature, it's time to move on. The path from the house to Turbacz itself, the "road" down straight to the VeloDunajec route or by rafts to the heart of the Pieniny National Park. In winter, you can sled down by the terrace, put on ski-tours and go deep into the Gorce National Park or take a chair up to Kotelnica Białczańska. In summer, at dawn, it is worth spreading a yoga mat on the terrace, looking not for wind but nine in the field, admiring the scenery from the walls of the Niedzica Castle or soaking up the smell of hay. The cottage is surrounded by only agricultural land, so in June, July and August you can see and hear the farmers working hard in the meadows.
We have a conjecture bordering on the certainty that you will naturally sleep well here. As guests in this beautiful mountain glade, we wanted to have as little impact on the natural environment as possible and provide our guests with the healthiest conditions for settling down. So we built the house in the "proeko" technology, from natural materials such as larch wood, annual plant fibers or sheep's wool. We have also installed the GGWC system, which, in combination with a recuperator and air conditioning, ensures the quality of the air supplied inside. To get here, you only need to roll the car over Łopuszna, apply the handbrake and leave the car in gear after parking it. You write the next steps of the vacation instructions yourself.
In the buffer zone of the Gorce National Park, in an ecological house with a view of agricultural land, and further the peaks of the mountains. Tatry, Gorce and Pieniny. In order not to disturb this view, the area (30 ares) is fenced only from the side of the street, and on the other hand, the plot borders are
artificial slopes.
We focused on a modern shape and very ecological PROEKO technology. This means that it is healthy for the human body, and at each stage of its construction, we used as many natural materials as possible, which do not harm people in any way. Inside there is a perfect microclimate because the building "breathes". We used loose thermal insulation made of annual plant fibers to insulate the ceilings, and we sealed the window and door openings with sheep's wool. The GGWC system has been installed in the building, which, in combination with a recuperator and air conditioning, ensures the quality of the air supplied to the inside. In addition, on the breathable facade there is a beautiful Siberian larch, fired in special stoves and voila. We have an eco house in a mountain glade.
The house is perfect for a couple, although 4 people can rest here comfortably. Two on the bed on the mezzanine, two on the fold-out couch in the living room.
Ground floor:
- vestibule with wardrobes for guests,
- open space with a kitchenette, living / dining area and a large sliding window
- exit to the terrace with a beautiful panorama - the terrace (24 m2) has a retractable awning, which allows you to relax outside on sunny days,
- bathroom with shower, heated floor, radio.
Mezzanine:
- it is a large bedroom with a French herringbone on the wall, to which steep but comfortable duck stairs with a railing lead,
- Queen size bed 180/200, bedside tables, bookcase. From the bed, a beautiful view of the Tatra Mountains, Pieniny and Lake Czorsztyn.
ATTENTION!!! We have steep duck stairs in the cottage, which we tested on sober people.
We have a rule that we do not wear shoes at home, our boards like bare feet.
Be sure to apply the handbrake and leave the car in gear after parked. Parking is on a slight hill.
PS We have another similar house planned for the future. So far we have all the dirty / earthwork done and a bare concrete slab.
You eat what you want and there are no limits here! The kitchen is at your disposal, make yourself comfortable and boldly cook. The lounge has a round table for deliberations, extended overnight dinners and high tea. As soon as the weather allows, it is best to move to the terrace, because there is a viewing table with an absolutely unique panorama of high mountains. Scrambled eggs with such a view tastes like an exquisite dish from a star restaurant.
We have two requests for you. For segregating rubbish and not leaving food overnight on the terrace. We are guests among the surrounding nature and we do not want to feed wild animals with the remains of human food.
First of all, clean air, great views of the Tatra Mountains, Gorce and Pieniny. Secondly, the trails that start from the house. Two hiking trails lead through Łopuszna to the highest peak of Gorce - Turbacz. The black trail, known since the beginning of the last century, known as the Seweryn Goszczyński trail, leads through Zarębek Niżni, Średni, Srokówka clearing near Pucołowski Pond on the eastern side of Wysznia (1103 m above sea level) to Kiczora and further along the Długa pasture to Turbacz. It's over four hours away. The second trail (blue), almost 4 hours and 10 kilometers, leads Zarębek Niżni, Średni, Tomusiowa, Wsielakówka and to Turbacz.
A shorter trail, about 2.5 hours and 6.2 km, is the Ostrowsko-Tomusiowa route, along the black trail. Not too difficult routes are also from Zarębek Średni to Koszary Łopuszańskie and walking paths from the village center to Zarębek Wyżni through the Goderman hill (705 m above sea level) or along the path to Mount Chrobowska (Gobrowska) and Koszary Harklowskie.
It is worth a ride to climb the observation tower in Lubań. The yellow trail from Kluszkowce and the little-visited green trail from Grywałd are great routes. On the way, you can pick berries, mushrooms, meet a partridge, primrose, buzzard, foxes and roe deer.
From the panoramic windows of PrzyStania you can observe the conditions on the Grapa Ski and Kotelnica Białczańska routes. Of course, you can also be tempted and go skiing.
You can start a hiking or cycling trip to Turbacz right from your home, or quickly enter the Velo Dunajec bicycle path. You can rent bikes in Łopuszna. There is also an equestrian center in the village, so if you want to swap your saddle for a saddle, go ahead.
Łopuszna is also located on the Wooden Architecture Trail, so it goes without saying that you can encounter a few "wooden pearls" here. One of them is the gothic wooden church of Holy Trinity, from the second half of the fifteenth century. Another gem is the Tetmajerów manor from 1790, which is a branch of the Tatra Museum. On-site guided tours of the Manor with an interesting guide.
As if that were not enough, Łopuszna still has a rich offer of cultural events. The local Cultural Center organizes famous folklore events, such as the Competition of Regional Dishes and the Goral Dialogue Festival. Both are an unforgettable feast for the senses.
What’s there for children?
At the beginning straight from the bridge. Due to the high, steep stairs to the mezzanine and the lack of a fence around the plot, it is best to come here with children
YES: babies up to 1 year old (12 months),
NO: children 1-7 years old for fear of their safety (stairs, high mezzanine),
YES: children over 7 years old.
We have plenty of attractions for families with children in the vicinity:
- from the house you can go directly to the hiking and biking trails in Gorce (tested after the first stays with children). There is a bicycle rental in the village (Przerwy-Tetmajera 33a), and in the nearest distance there are several others, including mobile ones that put the bikes at the door.
- Horse farm in the village.
- Lake Czorsztyńskie and the Niedzica Castle towering over it (we recommend visiting),
- All thermal baths in Podhale in close proximity,
- Ski slopes in close proximity (Kotelnica Białczańska visible from the terrace, especially in the season you can see the white strip of the slope)
- In winter you can sledge right next to the cottage.
- In winter, right from the cottage, you can start skitouring (during the construction of the house, ski-tourers raced around us).
