I have been longing for horses since I was 4 years old. Dad promised to buy it for me when I graduated from college. Motivated by love for solipeds, I finished my university education, but, as you probably guessed, I had to save for the horses myself. Our family was not mobile, but I got my dad's permission.

The path to his own ranch was not easy, but it worked. With a man, 2 daughters, 2 ponies, 2 horses and 9 hens, we live close to the beautiful Křivoklát region, and at the same time less than half an hour from Prague. This is where our oasis of nature came from. Wild nature.

Our lands are a permaculture environment, which we carefully cultivate here together. Our horses can taste what they like, run across the plains, walk through streams and enjoy the freedom - and that's actually true for you too.

Here you can connect to nature, suck clean air into your lungs and let go of all annoying thoughts. And when you decide to fold your (surprisingly light) head on a pillow, a beautiful glamping teepee awaits you. At the clearing near our ranch you will have complete privacy, and at the same time you will not be cut off from the world.

Come if you're in the mood. In the meantime, I'll stand for coffee.

Glamping is the perfect combination of being in nature and sleeping on a comfortable mattress. We will put you to bed in an amazingly wide double bed. If more than 2 of you are coming, we will also set up designer futon chairs. The interior in a light boho style is decorated with Indian elements, but we keep the colors in purely natural shades. Because we think he rests best in them.

Side tables are parts of trunks from surrounding trees. When you want to start meditating, or you face problems falling asleep, start counting the rings of the year. It is even more effective than sheep.

Next to the bed is a modest but very functional minibar corner with a fridge, which we will fill with goodies for you. The bathroom and toilet are located outside. Minor discomfort will certainly be offset by the wooden structure in a wonderful dark shade, natural cosmetics and a very pleasant shower with ceramic elements. And of course with warm water. An ecological toilet is located right next door.

You will be accompanied by the scent of candles and lavender. In order to give you a small nudge towards a healing digital detox, you won't find Wi-Fi here. Rather, watch horses, butterflies and the mesmerizing dance of tree branches in the wind.

The clearing on which the teepee stands is fenced, so that neither uninvited visitors nor horses will come to you. Children have plenty of space around the tent to run around, adults to meditate.

We believe in sustainability and ecological principles. That's why most of what you eat or drink here comes either directly from our garden or from our friendly farmers.

If you want, I'll bring you breakfast in the morning. Seasonal fruits and vegetables come mainly from my flower beds, and eggs from our chicken coop. We have sheep and goat cheeses from the Karlštejn cheese factory. The coffee comes from the local roaster Majkafe Nižbor, and its aroma can boldly compete for your attention with the surrounding forests and meadows every morning. I will be happy to bring you my syrups and lemonades for breakfast - refreshing mint, elderberry or sea buckthorn, packed with vitamins.

There's a fridge full of wine in the teepee, and when you drink, you'll make room for your own supplies. For example, meat for the grill, which we are happy to bring to you from a nearby farm or local butcher. You can prepare any goodies from them on our Lucifer outdoor grill.

If the weather is bad, you can sit at the dining table in a teepee, but if the situation allows, we definitely recommend the luxurious covered outdoor seating. From it you can see the meadow where the horses graze, and thanks to the padded chairs you can sit here for hours at breakfast or dinner. If you also open a bottle from the Cícha family winery from Blatnice pod Svatý Antonínek, I think you are in for an unforgettable evening.

You arrive at the ranch. Here you can get to know our animals (under my careful supervision). You can even confide in horses about what is troubling you. They know how to listen and are incredibly understanding and empathetic. That is also why we consider them our friends and do not lend them for rides. But if you want to see the surrounding nature from the back of a horse, you can stop at Mr. Koťátek's Double M Ranch, less than 3 km from us. His horses are used to riding and can be saddled by a complete beginner as well as an experienced jockey Váňa.

Take a walk in the Botanic Area. There you will enjoy a great gourmet experience in a luxurious environment and improve your golf swing. In the meantime, children can cuddle with donkeys and other farm animals.

Visit (perhaps by bike) the nearby Nižbor in the Berounka valley, have lunch at Tomáš Hanák (Restaurace Zastávka), then go for a coffee in the cozy and refined Café pod Zámkem. At the Castle you will find an exhibition of Celtic culture. On the hill of Hradiště there are the remains of the Celtic town of Stradonice, which is famous for the discovery of a gold treasure in 1877. You can also dig. Maybe you'll get lucky. The glass factory, founded by Antonín Rückl in 1903, is also worth a visit. Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and, reportedly, even Queen Elizabeth II enjoyed their first-class cut glass.

Or do a Tour de Hrady, get in the car and visit Červený Újezd, Křivoklát, Karlštejn or the ruins of Točník and Žebrák castles. If you feel like marveling, visit the Koněpruské caves, the Skryjská lakes and the Malá and Velká Amerika quarries.

There are a large number of cycling and hiking trails in the vicinity, so you can walk through the Křivoklátsko Nature Reserve. Don't forget to climb one of the numerous lookout points and look at the whole world from the top, the Máminka lookout point at Hudlice is beautiful, not yet discovered by tourists.

It is usually enough to tell children that we are going to an Indian teepee, and they will entertain themselves with stories, tracking bison or inventing Indian rituals. To fall asleep sweetly, you can read from several books that are prepared inside the teepee.

This year, next to the main tent, we built a new teepee full of toys, books, puzzles and games. From now on, children with us have their own kingdom, where they can win to their heart's content and allow you time to relax.

We don't have a TV, but there is something to watch around. Our animals are also just for viewing. But if the children want to get to know farm life more closely, there is no problem. If you lend them to me for an hour, I will walk the entire ranch with them, show them all its corners and let them help. Parents prefer to use this "service" on the day of departure, when they need to pack everything in peace. I wonder how long the children will remember the names of our 7 chickens, 2 sheep, 2 rabbits and 6 horses.
