Pack your bags and come to Lubków, a small Kashubian village, by the lake, near the forest, surrounded by fields. So real with horses and cows. It is a quiet vestibule of the Baltic beaches. It is close enough to reach the most beautiful places by bike, and far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of seaside open-air museums. Here are our Komorebi houses with windows through which you can pick acorns from oaks. They have goat-warm hearts, dog-friendly interiors, terraces with a view of the forest and beds that can even accommodate night owls from the next room.
We have a lake beach or even two. By the lake, which due to its size is called the "Kashubian Sea". Jumping platforms, the beginning of bicycle paths. There is a forest, a lot of iodine, Lubiatowskie Dunes quite close and a nudist beach in Dębki even closer. There are many birds, and in the forest, deer will sooner meet deer than passersby. You can reach the Baltic Sea by canoes, light a fire in the garden in the evening or drink wine and eat cheese under a garland sparkling with lights. We wish you such a vacation.
Here is our Komorebi. Two cottages, situated in a beautiful garden with a private forest. A forest with swings, hammocks, for jogging, tag and hide-and-seek. Beautiful surroundings oblige, so the execution naturally as close to nature as possible. The structure is wooden, and the façade is inspired by the Japanese spirit, because the boards are fired according to the ancient Shou Sugi Ban technique. The houses can accommodate 5 people in each, plus dogs, because they also deserve holidays.
The houses have a warm heart - a goat that will warm in winter, warm it up on autumn evenings, and wait patiently in spring and summer. The goat stands between the kitchen / dining room and the living room. A large oak table awaits in the dining room for shared meals, wine gossip and board games. The sofa in the seating area like a magnet does not want to let go of its embrace. Perfect for a nap, even better for lying down together. The terrace, which serves as an additional room in the summer, connects the interior with the exterior.
There is a lovely bathroom with a shower - green or brick depending on the house.
You will take the stairs to the bedroom. One with a large bed and a desk, where the home office takes on a different meaning. The second bedroom is smaller with two single beds.
In the evening, a pinch of magic is added by a light garland in the garden that marks the way to the houses. There is also a common terrace in the garden, for the morning breakfast under the cover of beech and oak branches, for a joint dinner in the sunshine, for an evening barbecue by the light of a garland. You may find that your neighbors are great people. Let yourself be known.
Sandwiches, scrambled eggs, porridge, falafel with asparagus in summer, potato casserole in winter, cheesecake, brownie with raspberries. There is no too ambitious recipe for our kitchen, which will cook, cook, fry, fry, bake, bake and even wash it. Unfortunately, not quite alone, it will need your help, for example in cutting, and the dishwasher in disassembly.
For those who prefer to spend more time on the beach, in the forest or on a bike than in the kitchen, there will always be a table in a local eatery.
For some people, the whole day spent on the beach in the summer, swimming in the sea or building sandcastles is boring. There are also those who think that it is not interesting to go down our nearby Piaśnica straight to the sea. We have heard the unpopular opinion that during long hours of walks in the surrounding forests, in search of taps for morning scrambled eggs, you can get away from boredom. Well, this is what slow travel is all about, about taking advantage of the opportunities offered by nature, and we have a lot of these options. 10 km from the sea, right on the Żarnowieckie Lake, near Hel, very close to the Kaszubskie Oko lookout tower, and it is very worth visiting the Lubiatowskie Dunes. From the wonders of nature, consider the Białogóra Reserve, Lake Choczewskie, the Piaśnickie Łąki Nature Reserve, and the monuments - visiting the Benedictine Abbey in Żarnowiec.
In addition to the above-mentioned, you can try sea salt in winter (and in summer a bit too) in the Baltic Sea, and then warm up at home next to the goat, sit by the fire until the last flame and eat the best baked potatoes with butter, or more mobile. Plan and implement a bicycle trip to the Hel Peninsula.
However, if walks to our Żarnowieckie lake are enough for you, we recommend the beaches in Lubków and Wierzchucin. Wierzchucino is on the other side of the lake, the one from the sea, and has 3 km to the waves, so apart from the beach by the lake, it is also close to the beach on the Baltic Sea, which is beautiful, wild, empty.
Instead of a TV set, we have huge windows overlooking the forest and a fireplace with wood for long winter evenings. We have a lot of interesting books, also those about travels, a beautiful garden with its own private piece of forest, with a swing, hammocks, a terrace that in the evening turns into a restaurant sparkling with lights under the cloud. Even the internet shouldn't distract you from all this "boring" activity, although some say LTE can be caught sometimes.
What’s there for children?
We put sticks, cones, acorns, lizards, frogs, grass snake, sheds, stalking, hide-and-seek games, board games versus all phones, tablets and computers. Who wants to check us out? Besides, the Baltic Sea is reliable, which basically takes care of boredom once and for all. So take sand toys, a windbreak, sunscreen, and raincoats with you. You know how it is at the seaside, sometimes the sun, sometimes the rain, and always the wind.
