Oh, how time flies! Would you say our cabin was built in 1936? Neither would we, certainly not now. But it was love at first sight. When we saw it, we knew it was going to be our place on earth. Our place in paradise. Because it's in Paradise - the one in Slovakia. And after we've renovated the whole thing and we're constantly improving it, it's time to welcome you to us. We love it here - it's just you, the silence of nature, the sky full of stars. During the day, you can wander the paths, ravines and steps or just laze sweetly on the terrace in the tub overlooking Owl Rock. It is the owl (sovia) that gives our cabin its name.
We love this beautiful region and we are at home in it. And we will be happy if you feel like that with us too. We would love to tell you about our cabin. Also about the secrets in the old trunk and the photos we found here. As for the rest, you'll just have to experience it for yourself.

From our cottage you have a direct view of Sovia skala, you are close to Preelo Hornád and other beauties of Paradise. It will be best for you with us as a couple, thanks to which you will also enjoy a bit of romance :)
Try to wake up at our place in the morning, the peace is unique and if you sharpen your eyes, you might even see deer and roe deer. They have their own route below our cottage or watch them wade through Hornád. And in autumn, get ready for the deer rut in the immediate vicinity of the cottage.
GROUND FLOOR
Count on a fully equipped kitchen and dining area and everything you might need. There is a common room with a stove and there is also a double bed. On the ground floor you will also find a stylish bathroom with a shower.
PLACE TO WORK
And since some of you like to work in silence and in nature, we thought of that too. We have good wi-fi and we have also prepared a place for you to work in the form of a desk with a wonderful view of the Owl Rock. So feel free to come to us even for a business stay and use the password work & apply life balance fully to your life.

A bedroom for 3 people is located on the first floor (1 double bed and 1 single bed).
In any case, whether you sleep on the ground floor or in the attic, we make sure that you get a really good night's sleep.
New mattresses, pillows, quilts, sheets made of 100% cotton satin - everything is waiting for you clean and fragrant.
PRIVATE WELLNESS - SAUNA & JACUZZI KADJA
Relax in our private wellness. This consists of a stainless steel jacuzzi tub under the open sky with the most beautiful view of the Slovak Paradise and an authentic Finnish sauna. Everything made directly by professionals to measure, so that we can treat you to perfect relaxation! Our jacuzzi tub with a volume of 1300 l of water, with a bubble bath and combined heating (ie electric heating + solid fuel/wood) is situated on a stepped outdoor terrace with a view like a postcard.

It is not for nothing that they say that love goes through the stomach. To help you with this, in the kitchen you will find all the necessary equipment for your relaxing cooking. And it doesn't matter whether you're betting on fried rice or want to cook a 4-course dinner. In addition to a glass-ceramic hob, an electric grill or a microwave, you also have a toaster and a blender at your disposal.

We always look forward to seeing you, our guests, and as an attention from us, a fragrant and lovingly baked home-made cake in the shape of a heart will be waiting for you - according to our secret recipe :) In addition, you will receive a bottle of delicious Slovak wine as a welcome.
COFFEE & TEA
We think of everyone - you coffee drinkers and also you tea drinkers. In the kitchen, there is not only a rich supply of teas, but also selected coffee beans and a branded coffee machine. Let your beautiful moments smell good.
ALBERT
During warm and sunny days, you can sit in the garden gazebo and combine it with a grill and cooking goulash. Of course, you can find a goulash pot, skewers and a charcoal grill here. And when you don't feel like cooking, you can "just" sit there with a coffee and enjoy the views of the surrounding nature and fresh mountain air.
The Slovak Paradise is one of the nine national parks in Slovakia, and thanks to kilometers of hiking trails and technical aids, you can wander along trails of varying difficulty. They lead not only along ravines, streams, but also beautiful waterfalls, which in winter turn into icefalls with karst formations.
And if you want to go on one of the trails, feel free to do so - they pass near our cottage.
The Hornád River flows in the immediate vicinity of the cottage (approx. 200 m), so you can also go to Priel Hornád. It's up to you whether you want to float it or step over it on footboards or a rope bridge. Otherwise, rafting is allowed, but only in a certain period and under certain conditions, so be sure to check what and how.
Are you a fan of rock climbing and have your own gear? Great, the via ferrata in Kyseľ gorge will definitely catch your attention. So don't forget - crossing this highly sought-after gorge is only allowed with a via ferrata belay set with a fall arrester and a helmet, which can also be rented directly at Čingov.
But you know, Slovak paradise, it's not just the legendary gorges and the Hornád Gap. There are also rocky viewpoints to be found here. The most famous is without a doubt the Tomášovský view, but believe me, the view on the Owl Rock is also worth it. It is said that there was once a castle on this hill. Anyway, the hike here is not difficult and even the smaller legs can handle it. And the reward is worth it. In good weather, you will also see the High Tatras.

THE CAT LICKS
And we didn't mention something else besides the roe deer, the deer and the beauties of Paradise, namely our cat Líza and her kittens. They catch mice, and that's why there are none at the cottage :) The cats are shy, but we will be very grateful if you pour them water in a bowl during your stay and offer them something to eat every now and then. Of course, we have prepared granules for them at the cottage, which you can pour into their bowls, for which they will certainly be grateful.

What’s there for children?
Let them play little Indians or seekers. Let them know the cones in peace and make some of them, or run together in the woods and look for traces of wild animals. In the evening, light a fire together and roast under the clear night sky. Prick up your ears and try to hear if you hear a owl honking from the forest.

Come on. We have space for those of you who have decided to have a home office outside the house.
