Come and taste the sweet life as honey. To the Jizera Foothills, which if they played the lottery, would definitely win the full prize pool. Within a short trip, we have the Valley of Pearls, adits, castles, dams, lost treasures, lakes and peaks. Within sight, for a change, we have several million bees, home-made preserves and products, still warm buns, a Czechoslovakian wolfdog, a few cats and peace and quiet.
We also have a bee agritourism, which we created from a part of our farm that had been unused for decades. And so, thanks to sweet unconsciousness, we took on a big project. We thought that, using the farming method, we would create a beautiful guest house from old farm buildings. It took two years, but we succeeded. With the help of wonderful people, we built a dream space that, on the one hand, emphasizes the original character of the building, and on the other hand, has modern, ecological solutions. The stable and grain warehouses will now serve you to relax, observe a real bee, honey-herb-fruit farm, a place to anchor in the Jizera Mountains. Drop by to spread honey on warm bread, climb the Perkuna Cone, take part in beekeeping workshops and look for a lion on the Złotnicka Dam.
We will wish you sweet dreams in our bee agritourism. In the old part of the farm, which has been waiting for its turn for decades, we have created a guest house. We give you half of the house, and we - the hosts - live in the other half.
In total, you will have 180 m2 for 8 people in total. You can rent the space exclusively or choose a room tailored to your needs. The house has:
A spacious living room on the ground floor, arranged in an old stable. There is a large table and a relaxation and recreation area with a table, sofas and armchairs. This is where we serve meals prepared for you. We have also placed a shop with our local products here. The living room is separated by large glass doors from the garden part, intended for your use. There is also a bathroom with a toilet on the ground floor.
On the first floor there is an apartment, a toilet, a bathroom with a shower and a kitchenette with a "coffee table", a fridge, an electric kettle, a two-station hotplate and equipment for preparing small meals.
We don't know how with milk, but the meals will surely be flowing with honey. We invite you for breakfasts and dinners.
Breakfast is a product of what we can find in the garden, take it out of the pantry, bake it or buy it from local suppliers. Half board consists of soup, main course, dessert, coffee / tea. When preparing meals, we use products from our farm (honey, syrups, jam, preserves, silage, etc.) and from small, local, friendly suppliers. Our tables are dominated by homemade bread and pastries, dairy products, preserves and honey as well as various drinks - meads, liqueurs, and periodically also original craft beer, which we brew ourselves.
The apartment has a kitchenette that allows you to perform basic cooking activities.
On site you can also buy products that we produce in our agritourism:
- Honey: multiflorous spring, rapeseed, honeydew-nectar, forest, linden, buckwheat, goldenrod. Some of the types of honey obtained by us are available in a "classic" or "cream" version.
- Herbal honey, which is a high-quality natural preparation, produced by bees, of a pro-health, healing and prophylactic nature, depending on the ingredients used. We offer: lavender herb honey with wild Izera berry, lemon balm herb honey with orange, mint herb honey with lemon, mountain lychee herb honey with pear inspired by the recipe of St. Hildegard of Bingen.
- Bee bee, honey bee, propolis (bee's putty), beeswax and wax and bees snake candles.
- Jam according to our family recipe. All fruits come from proven sources. Our offer should consist of: strawberry jam, strawberry with rhubarb, plum jam, quince marmalade, rosehip with strawberry.
The Jizera Mountains are such a magical place where every village is a palace, castle, ruin or tunnel. Here you ride narrow roads, delight with old houses at every step, get sore neck from admiring the Dark Sky Park, cross-country skiing like Justyna Kowalczyk, stroll for pancakes with chocolate at the Orle shelter, ride bikes to Stóg Izerski or trek through extinct volcanoes. People, how much is there to do here! A plan can be made for a few trips ahead, and you even need to rest, not get over with attractions.
Before you cross the gate of our agro and go to Izery, you can rest on the spot. Soak up the idyllic views, make a fire in the garden, read a book among wildflowers, eat fresh bread with homemade jam or learn something about bees.
We know a little or more about it, and we will be happy to share this knowledge. We organize workshops on honey bees in two basic forms:
- educational and nature workshops similar to those for children,
- specialist workshops on the basics of beekeeping for people planning to gain basic knowledge and practice necessary to start their adventure with beekeeping on their own. You will find out more detailed information on the spot.
Once you take a breath, pause and feel that you are on vacation, you can move on to the area. Our agritourism is located on the outskirts of Leśna - a small town in the heart of the Jizera foothills, and as we have already mentioned, our neighborhood is rich in terms of tourism. Nearby you can:
- Climb the Perkuna Cone, a point on the trail of extinct volcanoes. It is a pleasant destination for mountain walks and a great vantage point with a panorama of Leśna. It is much better to enter the leafless seasons of the year, because the visibility from the top is much better then. In summer, bushes and ticks. The rock formation resembles the cross-section of a volcano and is built of basalt columns.
- Go by bike or walk (3-4 km) to the Miłoszowska Observation Bench. From a charming bench you can admire the Jizera Foothills, the panorama of Leśna, Miłoszów Świecie and southern neighbors - the Czech Republic. The bicycle path connects with the neighboring villages.
- Visit the nearby castles: Czocha (less than 4 km), Rajsko castle, castle in Świecie. The latter is underappreciated, which is a big mistake. The ruins, saved from oblivion by nice owners, have a great history in them. The lady owner presents in detail the history of this charming 14th century castle. For a symbolic PLN 5, you can go inside and see this magical building live.
- Learn the secrets of the Złotnicka Dam. It is an enchanted place that leads through tunnels carved in the rocks. It is also worth climbing the mysterious stairs to the hill and admiring the dam from above.
- On the way to the parking lot by the dam, it is worth covering a few hundred meters along the yellow trail and seeing the Gallows Tower, also known as the Złotnicka Tower. A café opens seasonally in the "medieval castle".
- Walk, cycle or use Nordic walking poles to the Altanka viewpoint. There is a view of the Izerskie Mountains, the Kwisa Valley and its gorge, and the outskirts of Leśna. There are benches where you can relax, there is shade and great bike routes through the singletrack-like forest.
- Go to Leśniańskie and Złotnickie Lakes with beaches, canoes, pedal boats and boat trips (2.5 km).
- Go to the Czech neighbors to the castle in Frýdlant (20 km).
- Have a lot of sports on the Czech singletrack cycling tracks in Nový Mesa pod Smrekiem (13 km).
- Spa in Świeradów Zdrój, see a beautiful spa house where time has stopped, and climb the SkyWalk lookout tower (20 km).
- Take a look at what's going on at Wolimierz Station - our local cultural center.
- Catch a small concert organized in Osada Ptaśnik in cooperation with Borówka Music.
- Explore the Pearl Valley with all its natural benefits.
- Walk on the stone bridge on Kwisa in Gryfów Śląski.
And much, much more. We also love hiking and biking in the Jizera Mountains and winter sports, and we will always be happy to help and advise on active tourism in our region.
Kids are a treasure. With their fully undisturbed curiosity about the world, open mind and desire to discover something new every step of the way, they delight us all the time. We like to show them the world of bees, which is why we often conduct workshops on honey bee biology. During the workshops, we combine play with science, use live exhibits, watch bees in a special show hive and learn to recognize them. We show various representatives of insects, explore the secret of honey production and present beekeeping equipment and the construction of a hive. Workshops are payable additionally, we organize them from April to October, from Monday to Thursday. Please inform us in advance if you will be interested in participating in the workshop.
In addition to honey attractions, we also have a barefoot garden with a mini playground with swings, a slide, a trampoline, a sandbox and a real hut, and for the elderly, a badminton and volleyball playground. At home you will find toys and board games for children of all ages.
The toilets and bathrooms are equipped with equipment that facilitates their use by the youngest (platforms, overlays). We also have high chairs for eating, and if necessary, we can lend you additional baby accessories (cot, baby carrier etc.).
We have almost as many jobs as bees. In the common space, on the ground floor, you will find a large six-seater table with chairs, a table in the seating area with sofas and armchairs, and a table (maximum 3 people) on the covered, lighted terrace. However, these are places in the space where other guests can also stay, so we cannot ensure full privacy and absolute silence here. In each room on the first floor (3 rooms in total) there are independent workstations - 2 chairs, a work table (100/60 cm) and a lamp.
