Have you ever heard of Barani Wąwóz? And the Bialskie Mountains? Then let us illuminate the situation and location. According to the maps, we are part of the Golden Mountains, which is basically the Kłodzko Land, and best of all - look for us in the vicinity of Stronie Śląskie. The name of Barani Wąwóz comes from a legend. Apparently, Zeus, fleeing the wrath of a more powerful deity, turned into a ram. This is an obvious fake, because where does Zeus come from in the Bialskie Mountains? In our opinion, Zeus has never been to us, but apparently Marek Hłasko was there, he worked with wood, and then the film "Base of the Dead People" was shot here, based on his short story. It is also possible that Hłasko escaped here.
There is something to do with running away, because those who are looking for the greenest, and in winter the whitest places on the map, flee to us from big cities. We have three small houses here, intimacy in the houses and interiors designed by Chie Piskorska - a Japanese girl from Warsaw. The creator of the sculpture "Amazement" welcoming you here is an artist from Hamburg - Adam Ostrowski. In our opinion, it perfectly recreates the astonishment of the guests that it is so peaceful and quiet here and only the rustle of the stream. Come if you like winter skiing, bicycles and year-round hiking. We invite.

We suffered greatly from the flood. We will be closed for the time being.
Once, during communism, tissue paper was secretly smuggled across the border, but before the Polish-Czechoslovak Solidarity route began in the 1980s, we came here for holidays. Then there was the sacramental "Yes", "I will not leave you until death" and a honeymoon to Bielice. And it was still empty and wild here, and in Barani Wąwóz you could always find the best wild strawberries in the entire Kłodzko Valley. In the evenings, after collecting hay and swimming under the waterfall, we dreamed about what could be created here, until finally a winning at cards connected us with this place permanently. In a letter to my mother, I wrote that our house would one day be built here, and it was - twenty years after the first trips to this area. It gave rise not only to our new life, but also to organized agritourism in Poland. Today, there are still no other houses visible from Barani Gorge, and sheep are still grazing on the neighboring hill.
We have been associated with Bielice since the flood in 1977, which we survived in a tent. After martial law, the winds of history blew us across part of the world - from Seattle to Munich. But history came full circle and we finally settled here permanently. We are sociologists, gardeners, mushroom pickers, skiers, dog and cat lovers, and Bielice is located exactly between the Polish and Czech regions where we come from.
