Bonton Apartments

There used to be a moat on the site of the old renovated house and the Bonton apartments. Ha, you certainly had no idea! ;) Of course, this moat, together with the castle walls, was supposed to protect the city. But as times changed, they buried the ditch. Thanks to this wise decision, you have a real jump to the historic center of Kežmarok today and you can be right in the middle of the action. Experience Slow Travel in an old (lovingly renovated) house, where we have created 2 apartments on the ground floor in a classic style with a touch of Art Deco. 2 APARTMENTS Both the same, for the same number of people - max. 6 people in one. Or if you want to come more, rent both and take 12 here. Each of the apartments has 1 bedroom with a double bed (2 people), a double sofa bed and another 2 people sleep on a sofa bed in the living room. In addition to the living room, there is a spacious kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. Underfloor heating for bare feet lovers is a matter of course. GARDEN Our house also has a garden where you can relax in peace. At the same time, children have their space to cheat. The garden is common to both apartments.

Each apartment has its own kingdom in which your bellies and taste buds command. The kitchen is fully equipped so that you can cook everything in it - from breakfast roasts or toasts to a really rich dinner. Peacefully also from the trout, which you will be able to buy near Kežmarok. We have a mocha kettle ready for coffee makers, because we know that the most beautiful thing about it is the ritual. And then nothing will stand in your way so that you can sit on a comfortable couch and enjoy slow life. When you are preparing a feast, take a look at our herb garden in the summer. Maybe some of it suits you and will pleasantly prevail the apartment or the goodies on the grill.

The town of Kežmarok and our Bonton apartments are located in the middle of the unique triangle of the 3 national parks PIENAP, TANAP and Slovenský raj. So that you are not far away ... and in Kežmarok itself, you can boldly follow in the footsteps of history, UNESCO monuments, but also modern cultural life. SLOW TRAVEL IN THE CITY OF KEŽMAROK 1. Kežmarok Castle and castle courtyard - about 3 min. walk from the apartment. Did you know that it is the only fully preserved castle in Spiš? 2. Red church - interesting shape, color, style. This eclectic style will captivate you even after almost 150 years. It is said that the projects of the Danish civil engineer Teofil von Hansen were originally intended for the Orient. Um, what do you say? 3. Lyceal library - historical library of the Evangelical Church. He has more than 150,000 volumes of history books in his collection, and many of them are unique specimens. It is one of the largest historical school libraries in Central Europe. During the summer months, prepare for the various interesting events and festivals that are organized in the city: summer cinema, summer concerts, castle courtyard events and you can also experience a summer car cinema. For street food fans, Fest Street Food is here in August, where the historic center of Kežmarok will be decorated for a few days with stylish stalls and food trucks with the best food. And you can't miss the € uro Festival and the European Folk Craft. Just follow the city page if you want some inspiration. LETO SO SLOW TRAVEL Our tourist tips: 1. One of the most beautiful and at the same time the most accessible places in our area: Lomnické sedlo (2190 m). It offers a unique walk without significant elevations. You can take a comfortable cable car to this exceptional place, where the cult Slovak film Copper Tower was shot in 1970, which is only a few minutes away by car from our apartment. From here, the Poprad Basin is in the palm of your hand, the view extends to the distant peaks of the Slovak Ore Mountains. You will see a completely different picture of the landscape on the opposite side - the western steep and rocky slopes descend into the depths of the Little Cold Valley, which is bordered on the other side by a jagged Prostredný ridge. In full splendor, Lomnický sedlo shows an extensive Slavkovský peak with a typically round silhouette of a peak. 2. Tatranská Lomnica / Zruby - Nature trail Pramenisko - also suitable for small feet 3. Come from us to Starý Smokovec - Sliezky dom - Batizovské pleso - Ostrva - Popradské pleso - Štrbské pleso ... and we could continue like this until the morning. WINTER SO SLOW TRAVEL If you are a lover of everything that can be "slid" in the winter, you will be really excited. 1. Cross-country trails - in the wide vicinity of Kežmarok we have perfect conditions on groomed and unmodified cross-country trails that intersect with animal paths. We simply call it a "safari under the Tatras". 2. Skiing: the closest thing from us is to skiing on Lomnické sedlo in the Tatranská Lomnica resort, but you can also go to Štrbské pleso or elsewhere :) 3. Our winter tip for a trip: from the apartment go to - Starý Smokovec - cable car Starý Smokovec - Hrebienok, where you can see the unique and famous Tatra Ice Dome for free. And for adrenaline enthusiasts, it is enough to jump on the sledge and enjoy the 2.5 km long toboggan run back to Smokovec. Just hold on tight!
