Let's face it, it's a bit of an uphill climb. And even more than a little, because Gorczańskie Zacisze is located 900 m above sea level. Only the Gorce National Park is higher. This has its advantages, because you can go straight from the house to the yellow trail towards Turbacz. From the tub in the garden you can admire Mogielica, and ride e-MTB bikes (we have equipment rental on site). There are also disadvantages, because the access is quite steep, on a gravel road, so in winter it is worth arming yourself with chains. The advantages are also breakfasts prepared by Beata, finger-licking lunches and a relaxation area with a swimming pool and saunas.
This means that children will have time to run, go out and jump, parents will have a moment for coffee in a deckchair, athletes will have good equipment available on site, gourmands will have home-made bread every day, and view seekers will have rosy sunrises and sunsets. We invite you to our family guesthouse at the heights.
In a guesthouse at an altitude of 900 m above sea level, with a view of Mogielica right by the Gorce National Park. At your disposal we have comfortable, new-smelling rooms (with bathrooms) and apartments (with kitchenettes). Each room has its own balcony or terrace, each room has a fridge, kettle, TV. Due to the layout of the rooms, we cannot put a travel cot in all rooms, and not all rooms are adapted for pets, so when booking it is worth asking us which room will be best for your needs.
In addition to the rooms, the guesthouse has common areas for spending free time:
- fireplace room with comfortable sofas,
- playroom for children,
- table football, billiards, air hockey for children
- dining room with a coffee and tea corner available all day long.
You can also spend time in our relaxation zone:
- dry and wet sauna (additional fee),
- salt cave,
- mini pool,
- hot tub in the garden (additional fee).
A mountain vacation means hundreds of calories burned, so let us fill you in. Hearty buffet breakfasts (you can also find something vegan and vegetarian), with homemade bread, served in the dining room are a preparation for hikes, trekking, ski touring, and bike trips. If you need sandwiches for the road, let us know and we will prepare provisions for you. Additionally, you can order meat and vegetarian dinners.
Breakfast is served as a buffet from 8:00 to 10:00. Dinner is served from 17:00 to 19:00.
There are refrigerators in the rooms, and kitchenettes in the apartments.
Zacisze is a comfortable hideout for observing the forest, how the mountains turn green and white with fluff, how they turn red in autumn and wake up covered with a blanket of morning mists. You can set up a deckchair on the balcony and admire this spectacle performed by nature from the first row, you can also soak in the Beskid Wyspowy and Gorce and feel the mountain aura changing like in a kaleidoscope on your own skin. In Zacisze we have something for those who like silence and for energy bombs.
It is worth coming to us with a great desire to act, even equipment is not necessary. We have a sports equipment rental on site. Bikes, ski touring, mountain hiking with a child, skis, snowboarding. We have equipment for every occasion. Our mountain electric bikes will help you get to the mountain slopes and allow the whole family to enjoy trips not only on flat terrain. In winter, we encourage you to try your hand at ski touring/splitboarding. Baby carriers and other useful mountain accessories are waiting for parents with children.
If you recharge your batteries on the move, we have the Himalayas of possibilities for you:
- For hikers, trails in the Gorce National Park, because we are located right next to the yellow tourist trail and educational path. How about a quick run to the sunrise on Gorc Troszacki? Or maybe a family trip to the observation tower on Gorc? Another option is a full-day trip around the Gorce Mountains with lunch on Turbacz or climbing Mogielica 1170 m above sea level. For a pleasant walk, we will direct you to Polana Podskały, just 40 minutes away, and peace, quiet, with a rushing mountain stream in the background.
- In spring, it is worth devoting a day to a walk to the Jaworzyna Kamienicka clearing. This is one of the largest clearings in the Gorce Mountains, when the snow melts (the second half of April, although a lot depends on the year), it is covered with a carpet of purple crocuses. It is located in the very center of the Gorce Mountains, so getting there requires some time and effort. A green tourist trail runs through its upper part. It is also reached by a walking path from the Kamienica valley.
- We also have a lot to offer on a bike. The entire Gorce and the Beskid Wyspowy. You can start your trip at the Trusiowka parking lot, and before pedaling, gain strength on ice cream and coffee drunk by the river. If you are planning a longer vacation, we have consistently recommended the Velo Dunajec bike path around Lake Czorsztyńskie. If instead of skiing you choose flat routes, less than 15 km from us you can rent cross-country skis and go on a prepared route around Mogielica! This is also an ideal route for ski touring skiers, even with a trailer for children. Other suggestions include the Family Route (12 km) on Wyrębiska and the Polana Stumorgowa Route.
After sports activities, you can relax on site in a hot tub, by our mini pool (indoor) in a dry or wet sauna, and relax your lungs in a salt cave.
If your children also need 15 minutes to regenerate after a day of walking, know that we know this pain. That's why we have prepared so many backyard attractions so that children can have fun and parents can drink coffee in peace on a deckchair.
- Children whose element is water will definitely jump with joy at the sight of an outdoor hot tub, an indoor mini pool, and a natural swimming pond.
- In the garden there is another station for discharging children's batteries and making friends - a playground. There is a trampoline, a house, slides, a sandbox and swings. And plenty of green grass for everyone to play football, run around or simply lie on a deckchair or in a hammock.
ATTENTION! We are located in a mountainous area, and Zacisze is located on a large hill, so you have to keep an eye on the children. A large hill also has a lot of advantages. The driveway to Zacisze becomes a brilliant toboggan run in winter. You can accelerate like in a bobsleigh.
In winter, you can also take your kids for a real sleigh ride!
We encourage sports-minded families to try ski tours (available for rent from us) and start their adventure with conquering the peaks.
If you want to introduce your kids to the mountains, it's hard to find a better place. We are located directly next to the trails and educational paths of the GPN, and in our rental you can buy the equipment necessary for mountain expeditions. What's more, if you inform us in advance, we will prepare a second breakfast for you and your family on the road.
There are also tangles of picturesque bicycle paths for those who want to spend kilometers on two wheels. Some of them can be reached directly from us, such as Lubomierz - Rzeki (blue trail along the Kamienica River), others must be reached by car (bicycle route around Mogielica, Czerwony Klasztor in Szczawnica). If you haven't been there yet, be sure to take your children on the Velo Dunajec route. A well-prepared route with beautiful views around Lake Czorsztyńskie. For children from 7 years of age, the Poza Szlakiem rental company has electric bikes, smaller children can be taken on the route in a trailer.
We also welcome everyone working remotely. Some of our rooms have pull-out countertops where you can work comfortably at the computer.
