When I wrote an advertisement that I was looking for a gardener to work in Narty, I got the answer that skiing would mean working hard in the garden. Yes, the name of our village provokes many funny situations. Contrary to appearances, so not for skiing, unless water skiing. Instead, we invite you to one of the cleanest lakes in Poland, which you can admire while sipping your morning coffee under the pergola or while relaxing in the tub, admire the orange light reflected from the surface. A 5-minute walk separates you from the beach on the Świętojnem, from pizza straight from the oven only kneading the dough and choosing the ingredients. In the wood-fired oven, the pizza is baked in a few minutes. Just as long as it takes you to take the prosecco out of the fridge and pour it into the glasses. After a truly Italian meal, you can move to hammocks, swings under a huge oak tree, have a siesta by the fireplace or burn a few calories while walking in the forest. Don't forget to take a basket or a bag, because almost every walk with us ends with an armful of mushrooms.

As you can see, adults can count on la dolce vita, and children can have fun from dawn to dusk. On the playground, on the beach, on SUP, in the saddle, in the rope park, by the bonfire with sweet marshmallows, because during the holidays they have their own rules. The law of freedom, slack, late falling asleep and late waking up. We invite you for long conversations by the fireplace, sunbathing, fishing or relaxing with a book on a sun lounger. In a house that used to be a barn, but thanks to our work, heart, creative ideas and even more work, it looks like in our dreams and imaginations. In its renovation, we used many old and solid materials from recycling, DIY ideas. It stands on a plot overlooking the Świętajno Lake and shares the garden with our house.

On the plot there is also a barbecue shed that can be booked (grill, fireplace, pizza oven in it), fireplace, gazebo / pergola with garden furniture, playground, relaxation area with hammocks, Russian bathtub with the possibility of booking.

The cottage is designed for 6-8 people (two people can sleep on the sofa in the living room). It has 3 bedrooms - each with a double bed, bathroom with shower, open living space: living room with a goat, dining area, kitchenette. The green house has two terraces - one at the side of the house, the other at the back of the house - covered with a barbecue. The garden around the house (200 m2) is fenced for the safety of your little ones or dogs.

Additionally, in the house there are: a hair dryer, a laundry dryer, iron, ironing board, additional garden armchairs, a cot for children, a children's seat and a footrest, etc.

The garden is full of fruit trees and has a herbarium with aromatic herbs.

Small pets are welcome. There is also a container with pouches for dog poop.

When you manage to get out of traffic jams, shopping lists, schedule of classes, washing, cleaning, being on time, being late, you will probably enjoy a moment of breath. Although sometimes this also has to be learned. Letting go, sleeping late, drinking coffee under the pergola overlooking the lake, not creating a plan for each day of vacation, allowing yourself freedom, spontaneity and lying for hours in a tub with hot water. We have a place for it all. For fun, for cycling trips, for whole days on the beach, for mushroom picking and naps in a hammock, for horse rides in the woods (in our favorite Kanthaka Stable), for baking pizza, grilling, night bonfires and reading books under the oak.

Here's what we have under our breaths, without leaving the goal:
- a terrace with comfortable furniture and a fenced garden,
- a second covered terrace behind the house with a barbecue area,
- a place for a bonfire,
- a large shelter with a grill and a pizza oven,
- a wood-heated tub with a magnificent view of the Świętajno Lake,
- a relaxation zone under a large oak tree - suspended swings and hammocks,

Bicycles are also available for rent, which you can carry for a ride. We also have a SUP board that you can cross the entire lake. Speaking of water.

Like Masuria, it is known that it is water. We have lakes close and closer. About 100 meters from the house is the main sandy beach on Lake Świętajno, one of the cleanest lakes in Poland. This is confirmed by the crayfish that we have seen many times with our own eyes, observing the bottom from the pier or admiring the toes while standing in the water. So you have a 5-minute walk to swim, sunbathe, build castles. If you get bored of diving, rolling from side to side like on a grill or soaking your feet by the shore like a heron, there is a pedalo rental nearby, which you can use to sail the entire lake - this is one of the best ways to get to know the area.

If you are looking for peace, intimacy and less attractions, we recommend the wild beach on Świętajno, to which a pleasant forest road leads. The walk takes about 20 minutes and privacy is guaranteed. The beach is called wild because not many people know about it, but the descent into the water is pleasant and sandy.

For the persistent ones, we recommend walking around the whole lake and finding a camping beach (you can also reach it by pedal boat) and at the end of the route - a beach in Warchały. The beaches in Warchały are guarded and the entrances are paid.

Since we have already discussed Świętajno, it's time for Brajnickie, located nearby. It is smaller, not so popular, but just as beautiful. To get to it, we recommend a bike ride. You can take a bath at the lake or rent a boat to float slowly on the surface. Our guests have access to a private beach with a pier right on this lake. If you like to dip your fishing rod or even catch something, Lake Brajnickie is one of the most interesting lakes in southern Masuria in terms of fishing. In the middle of the lake, the bottom is quite hard. Large stones lying on the bottom, sunken trees and underwater meadows covering the bottom are ideal fishing grounds for carp, perch, tench, eel and pike.

In autumn, when the water in the lakes is too cold for swimming and too warm for the walruses, there is also much to do. We would start the morning with a horse ride in the forest, at our friend's Kathanka stud, listening to the wild sounds. In autumn, there is silence in the forest, which gives you a chance to see deer, roe deer and cranes departing for the winter. Then we would go for a long walk that would probably end in a basket full of mushrooms. For each walk, take a basket, a net, a purse with you, because the forests around us are full of almost every species of mushrooms. Chanterelles, butterflies, porcini mushrooms and even kites. The forest undergrowth is also rich in berries, which we like to pick together with our son, the biggest fan of the purple language. Upon our return, in the early afternoon, we would make a fire and eat hot sausages baked over the fire. A chilly evening would be made more pleasant by a dip in the steaming water in a sump, sipping Prosecco. Then, with relish, we would sit down to dinner with friends and eat fresh pizza straight from the oven in a large shelter.

In winter, you can try a set of sleds, a fireplace, a walk to a snowy beach, mulled wine in a tub, books, watching birds eating grain from home feeders, making a snowman, cake straight from a wood stove.

A happy and saved child is a happy and rested parent. We know this, which is why in the Green House both parents and children will find a place for themselves - kids in a sandbox, in a cottage, on a slide, on a swing, on a hammock, in a tub. Parents drinking coffee under the pergola or on the terrace, under a large oak tree, on a deckchair with a book or just with kids, in the center of fun. Together, you can also prepare a pizza in a wood oven, bake potatoes in the fire. In autumn, listen to deer roars, and in winter go crazy on a sledge.

Children + water = joy. It just so happens that we have two great lakes in the immediate vicinity. A 5-minute walk separates you from Lake Świętajno, and a 9-minute bike ride from Lake Brajnickie. Świętajno is a great place for children to play. The lake has a gentle descent, even a few meters from the shore it is still shallow. You can also rent a kayak, pedal boat and even try windsurfing here. On the main beach in Ski, there is a bonfire place that is best to light on a spring evening. In the summer, while sailing a boat or SUP, you can meet the families of Swans or ducks with their young - a beautiful sight, but you should approach them with caution, because while defending the young, they can "stick".

Besides, our favorite family pastime is horseback riding. We wholeheartedly recommend the Kanthaka horse stud, where you can not only sit in the saddle, but also meet ponies, peacocks, alpacas and goats. The stable is about 20 minutes away from us, in the Napiwodzko-Ramucka forest and is unique because horses live here like real mustangs - outside, in a fenced area. Thanks to its location in the forest, you can go on horseback riding around the area. We highly recommend this place to you. Our 4-year-old Oliwier caught the horse riding bug after his mother and gets on the largest mounts, having a great time at the same time.

There is an amusement park with a rope park in Burtyny, approx. 25 km from Ski (we have already tried it - both children and adults). When you come to us, you have a huge selection of activities and it is up to you to decide how you want your rest to look like.
