A hundred years ago, a welded locomotive was moving through snowy Silesia. Clouds of steam blasting out again and again were visible several meters up. On this train, together with the laughing vacationers, President Mościcki could go to rest in his mountain residence - the Castle on Zadni Groniu. Even earlier, Reymont, Prus and Konopnicka used to visit the Vistula for city breaks. Now you can come over to go along the Main Beskid Trail, ski or bike a few kilometers and ... see the chocolate Adam Małysz!
Wisła is a small town situated between the peaks of the Silesian Beskids, formerly inhabited by masters of shacking and shepherds, later Lutherans fleeing persecution, even later artistic and literary cream, and now everyone who thirsts for a mountain climate comes here, but without a wild crowd of tourists (checkmate Zakopane !). You can stay in the unique Willa Jodła, which has been enchanting with the interwar style and atmosphere of a mountain chalet for almost a hundred years. Now it is regaining its former glory every month. We invite you to our house, where it smells of wood, tea with lemon and a promising Beskid adventure!
Within the city center of Wisła, next to the forest in Groniczko, there is a wooden villa, which we are improving and beautifying to make living there even more comfortable. For now, we invite you to one of ten rooms: single, nine double, including 2 family rooms with the possibility of an extra bed. We don't have TVs, but we do have a lot of books and games, and in the evenings you can always hear laughter from the dining room - this is where our guests mingle, and if time allows, we join them too. The dining room is the heart of our home, there is always something going on here - we eat here, check the weather, socialize, sometimes someone even plays the guitar. It is located on the first floor, and its windows offer a view of three sides of the world (mountains, forest and ski lifts). Visit here sometimes outside meal times, because it's a great place to read books, plan routes and meet other people.
As the villa is almost a hundred years old, you can hear footsteps on the wooden floors, sometimes the stairs creak, and sometimes the doors creak. We love it and allow Willa to have such humor - after all, he is already well-deservedly retired. Apart from the cemetery chapel, there are no other buildings above "Jodła" - so we are literally in peace, and there are only a few houses below us. We don't hear the hustle and bustle of the city, even though it's close to the city center. 10 cars can park freely next to the house.
We know that rest is important on vacation, which is why we prepare delicious breakfasts for you.
The smells in the dining room spread from 8 am - and decrease at 10 am :) Everyone will find something for themselves - breakfast is in the form of a Swedish buffet, which we prepare ourselves. We use our own fruit and vegetables in season, and we often have local cheeses. We also bake the cake ourselves :)
In addition, for groups, we can order dinners - restaurant catering, and during the holidays we plan to serve the soup of the day for skiers.
Our neighbor across the road is the ORO FOOD &WiNE restaurant, next to the cafe at Janeczka and 500 m to PrzyStań Jonidło :) you can easily eat lunches or dinners in the area!
You can organize a bonfire or barbecue with us - wood and the necessary equipment can be found in the shed in the garden
Wisła is a brilliant solution for both athletes and those who prefer passive rest. It's good to come here in the summer, but in the winter it's a must. We have over 150 km of mountain hiking trails (Main Beskid Trail, entrance to Barania Góra), walking trails (to Kubalonka, Stożek, Trzy Kopce Wiślańskie), cross-country skiing trails, plenty of ski lifts and several dozen kilometers of downhill trails. In addition, there are fantastic bicycle routes (the Vistula Cycle Route, the bicycle loop of the Euroregion Cieszyn Silesia, the Main Carpathian Cycle Trail and the International Greenways Cycle Trail Krakow - Moravia - Vienna).
WISŁA is a city of many, many opportunities to spend free time 😊 they differ depending on the season - but they have one denominator: MOUNTAINS.
WINTER ------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- --------
Downhill SKIING + ski touring
In winter, the city turns into a ski resort full of fun. 14 ski resorts scattered around the valleys and one ski pass (we have a 10% discount for our guests). We also have a 20% discount on Skolnity (right in the center). In the morning - at 7, before breakfast, you start warming up at Siglany (600 m from us), during the day you choose something that suits your style and skills, and finish at 10 p.m. at Nowa Osada. A real paradise for skiers! Everything without restrictions and within a range of 600 m to 5 km.
We will direct you to the best rental companies and help you choose the slopes 😊 and you can dry your boots and skis in our ski room.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIS
Literally on the other side of the Groniczek mountain, we have Jonidło - a winter complex prepared for cross-country skiers, with a straight, flat route around the pond and sports field. In a good winter, you can easily reach the city center on cross-country skis. For experienced runners, we recommend Kubalonka (7 km), cross-country skiing routes for professionals (and amateurs).
SLED
Children love winter! We will point out slopes with attractions for the youngest, we will provide sleds and apple slides, and we will advise mountain walks, but on asphalt, for mothers with strollers.
WINTER SWIMMING
The Kopydło stream flows right behind our fence - ideally, at the height of the gate, there is a small water threshold with about 120 cm of water 😊 just enough to sit down and have armpits! You can also walk 70m to the queen of Polish rivers.
ICE RINK
The newest attraction will open in December 2022. At the Wisła summer swimming pools (but not in the swimming pool basin), there is an ice rink with skate rentals and additional light attractions, and a slide on pontoons for children.
SUMMER ------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------
BICYCLE
It is undoubtedly worth taking bikes to Wisła. The city boasts a bicycle path running from the Vistula River through Ustroń to Brenna (you can join it right next to the building, on the other side of the river). We can recommend safe mountain routes of varying difficulty, and for experienced skiers, Stożek, Skolnity and Nowa Osada offer bike parks with a chairlift.
If necessary, you can rent bikes on site (ours or from a rental company).
HIKING TRIPS
The nearest urban walking trail is behind our gate. Mountain trails are up to 100 m in each direction 😊 You can easily reach the red trail that leads to Soszów/Stożek (up to the Bieszczady Mountains) or the black trail to Trzy kopce. You can use it to make a loop in one direction or the other.
You must conquer Barania Góra and see the beginning of the Vistula River. We will advise you on the most suitable route.
We will also recommend walking routes in Wisła and the surrounding area, adapted to the guests' abilities.
POOLS/RIVER BATHING
In summer, the best solution for those looking for refreshment is the river! There are countless places where you can enter it (the Vistula - the Vistula, but there is a crystal stream flowing in every valley) - and it actually depends on the guests what they are looking for. We know places with water for swimming, and places where children will be safe, where no one ever goes and where the water is colder than everywhere else. Ask us - we will advise you.
The summer swimming pools in Wisła are a complex dating back to the 1930s and have been completely renovated in recent years 😊 There are several slides, a sandy beach, a playing field and a playground for children. It's worth going for the whole day.
Swimming pools in hotels Stok, Beskid, Gołębiewski 😊 recommended during rain.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------

And lots of events in the city! Festivals: literary, cultural and many cyclical events!
Justyna is a professional tour leader 😊 she can come up with attractions for every day.
What’s there for children?
Children in Wisła follow their parents along mountain trails, ski and sled, and when they have the strength, they play in our garden (we have a house with a slide, swings and a trampoline, a long zip line and a high swing on an old oak tree). We have three children of our own and we know what a rainy day can entail. Then we throw out all our supplies of Lego bricks or set up a projector in the dining room and invite ourselves to a fairy tale movie! We have cots, chairs and a bathtub for babies. For older children, toys, blocks and sleds.
In the summer, the kids build dams on the river, soak their feet, track wild boars, pick flowers and collect stamps for mountain books, and in the winter we organize competitions for building the biggest snowman, snowball fights and sled races.
We accept groups with children, but we are unable to provide children with enough space to play inside the building (we do not have a dedicated room). That's why we encourage parents to take care of and play together with their children in the dining room: we have a lot of board games to organize a big tournament, a basket with Lego Technician and Friends blocks, books and toys for children and adults, and a room for those requiring peace and quiet (in the attic).
What’s there for employees?
The space for our guests can be arranged in the dining room. It can be a long table for 20 people or 8 single ones. The projector and audio equipment are installed on the ceiling, so conducting a meeting for the team will run smoothly and smoothly, almost like in a conference room. During the break, we invite you to the couches in the common space, in order to integrate with other Villa guests or your co-workers. We have 10 rooms with bathrooms, while 6 of them have work tables.
