Dobrodošli u Gorski kotar, zeleno srce Kvarnera! Did you know that here, in the Gorski Kotar mountain region, more than half of the terrain is covered with forests? This part of Croatia is called the green lungs of the country or the Croatian Switzerland. As you will see for yourself, Croatia is not just beaches and the sea ;) so feel free to come here in winter with skis, cross-country skis and sledges.
Out of love for nature and for this piece of land, my loved ones and I decided to create a place with soul. And the result is an eco-friendly and luxurious mountain lodge. Our love and efforts have been appreciated by others and we have been awarded the Best Private Landlord for our eco-friendly approach in 2021. Somehow, here you perceive nature differently and slow life and slow travel comes quite naturally into your blood. Time starts to pass differently. Maybe it's the deep breaths in and out you take here. And if you hear a strange rumbling, don't be alarmed. It's just all the worries have fallen off your shoulders and you can start to relax. Even in the bubble bath on the terrace.

ECOLOGY AND VASTU SHASTRA
The hut is made of natural, healthy and ecological material, carefully selected and processed logs from the Alps. The resin that remains in the logs has a beneficial effect on people's respiratory tract and lungs. There is no dust and no static electricity build-up in such houses, so you can really enjoy a holiday away from the stress and fast-paced life.
A special feature is that the cottage is arranged according to Vastu, that is, in accordance with nature and its energy laws. And that is probably why you can feel a special energy, warmth and peace in it.

- 2 bedrooms - one for 2 persons and the other for 3 persons
- 2 bathrooms - the one with a bathtub for your royal relaxation and the other one is equipped with a shower
- lounge on the ground floor connected to the kitchen and a fireplace to keep you warm and romantic

RELAX
We know that getting a good night's sleep for all time is a great thing, but make it not just about sleeping, look forward to:
- a hot tub for 4 on the terrace overlooking a gurgling fountain and forest
- a Finnish sauna also for those who don't like too high temperatures
- yoga and meditation area
- bicycles - you will find 2 adult bicycles and 3 children's bicycles
ALLERGIC
Guests with skin problems, allergies or asthma can arrange to sleep exclusively in GOTS - certified 100% unbleached organic cotton sheets and natural buckwheat or spelt pillows (Eco Breg) on request in advance.
For cosmetics, we bet on Croatian organic producers of certified shampoos and natural soaps in grower's packaging, which you can take and plant at home after your return.
Of course, our kitchen is fully equipped. When you decide to hibernate and not stick your nose out of the cottage, just do some proper shopping beforehand and hooray! And don´t forget to reach for the treats that will be waiting for you as a welcome surprise.

SLOW FOOD WITH MASTERCHEFS
Make an appointment with us and the best of the best - Croatian MasterChefs Časlav Matijević or Srđana Jevtić - will cook for you. Taste art in edible form from local products:
- meat from Queen Sheep Farm, whose lambs are fed on mountain hay and non-GMO cereals, grazing on Natura 2000 meadows or taste venison from the local butcher's shop in Delnice
- fish, specifically trout, are exclusively sourced for you from the fish farm in Brod na Kupi
- other delicacies are supplied by the Frančišković family from their local farm (their own organic products: cheese, cottage cheese, škripavac, semi-hard cheese, yoghurt, milk). All unique and delicious gifts from the completely untouched nature of Gorski kotar.
- eggs from happy hens and pasta are supplied to us from the poultry farm of Ivan Butković from Sunger, who is also famous for producing blue potatoes (these are considered to be among the healthiest potatoes in the area).
There's nothing easier than lazing around. We firmly believe that we have created the perfect conditions for you to do so.
Sitting on the terrace? In the garden on deck chairs and bathing in the sunshine? Whatever you like. If you're craving a dose of contented activity, feel free to play badminton or volleyball, sit on the bikes or go for a walk.

BATHING
You really don't have to go to the sea to go swimming. Here in Gorski Kotar you can also have a fantastic swim and we've attached some tips on where to go:
- "Pritiske" on the Kupa River, just 2 km from the village of Brod na Kupa, in the direction of Čabar
- "Klanac" on the Kupa River, near the settlement of Severin na Kupi
- the beach 'Kod starog motel' on Lake Lokve, in the immediate vicinity of the dam
- lakes Lepenice and Bajer in Fužina

For all the adventurous souls who need a shot of adrenaline as much as caffeine!
Of course, it all depends on the height of the water in the Kupa River and the time of year you want to raft. In a nutshell, it looks like this:
- in spring and autumn after heavy rains - raft boats for 10 people
- in low water - smaller canoes or inflatable kayaks for 2-3 people
SEA AND BEACHES
Do you long for sea waves and salt-laden air? Well, let us tell you that it only takes about 45 minutes to get to the nearest sea beach.
What’s there for children?
There is a lot of space for frolicking around our Kraljica. If the yard isn't enough, follow the trail of arrows in search of the stream, where you can even get your feet wet in the summer.
But if you're already stumped for ideas on how to keep the kids occupied, get in touch with Astra Divine, led by Marta Blažević, Master's student in biology and ecology. Preschool or school-age children can have an unforgettable holiday and fun with one of the themed workshops.
And when you go home, take with you the "growing" containers from our biocosmetics. Plant them at home and enjoy the memory of your stay with us.
