If the name Luknas means nothing to you, we are not surprised: our small lake is not the first choice among one hundred and ninety-three lakes in the Utena area. Tourists pass us going to much more famous places such as Zarasai, Ignaliny or Anykščiai. And this suits us. We feel much better surrounded by fields, trees and thoughtful storks. Theoretically, we are in a village, so we have some neighbours, but only the roofs of the houses behind the hill testify to this. As you can guess from the name of the homestead, it is so peaceful here that you feel as if you are completely Alone on the Shore (because that is what Vieni Krante means in Lithuanian).

If you are curious where we are and long for peace and quiet, time with your loved ones, and the relaxing in the nature, we invite you to our cottage. We are located halfway between the popular lakes Rubikiai and Alaušas, and we are connected with the city of Utena by ten kilometres of asphalt road towards the village of Vyžuonos and another two kilometres of gravel road.

Come and enjoy the slow relaxation of being Alone on the Shore!

For the rest of our guests, we give the whole homestead on the shore of Lake Lukno, on a two-hectare plot. There will be no other guests or residents around the cottage at a distance of 300 meters, apart from visiting forest birds or hares.
The cottage is for one couple or a family of 4-5 people.
The first floor of the cottage is 24 sq. M. meters in size, the second - 16 sq. m. m. open attic.
On the ground floor there is a living room with a kitchen and a smart TV, a bedroom with a double bed and a wardrobe, a toilet with a shower. The large windows offer a wonderful view of the lake.
There are two double mattresses in the open attic on the second floor , where children can sleep.
Insect screens are placed on the windows. Wi-Fi is available.
The cottage has underfloor heating if you would like to arrive during the colder season.
We do not accept pets.

The cottage has a kitchen area with all the necessary cooking facilities. Tap water is filtered, but we recommend that you bring drinking water with you. Food is available in the village of Vyžuonai, three kilometers away, where there are several small shops. Larger supermarkets are about a ten kilometer drive from the homestead (Utena).

Usually our guests feel so comfortable in the homestead and discover so many leisure activities that there is no need to look for entertainment around. Lake Lukno is shallow, on average 2.5 m. deep, suitable for both bathing and fishing , and swimming with a boat (free of charge) or SUP paddles (EUR 25 per day). There are crayfish, live shells, flounder, roach and perch in the lake. There is a bridge for bathing.
On the shore - a gazebo with furniture, barbecue with spit , grill, firewood. Also next to the cottage is spacious, about 40 sq.m. size terrace with dining table, hanging chair, rugs on the shoulders in the evening. There are 2 sun loungers, a swing, a trampoline and a basketball stand.
Those wishing to travel around the area have a great choice. The homestead is surrounded on all sides by Aukštaitija's natural treasures: Labanoras, Anykščiai, Sartras and Gražutė regional parks , hundreds of lakes, rivers and mounds. From Lukno near and to the public beach of Lake Alaušas, and a little further north you can see the Šeimyniškės outcrop with a conglomerate rock - a geological monument that is rarely found in the Lithuanian landscape.

A lake with a jetty, a trampoline, a swing, a basketball stand and two hectares of space for running and games are available all day - the perfect set for any active child. Parents are only asked to take care of comfortable shoes and clothes, we recommend water boots for swimming in the lake (there may be shells and grass on the shore). Life jackets are available at the homestead. For bad weather and a quieter time, we have board games and a cozy attic with mattresses, and sleds for the winter. For the little ones - a stork-shaped swing in the field, where it is safe to rock the baby.

We do not have extra beds or high chairs.
Parents are responsible for the safety of children in the homestead building and territory.
