It's a place where life apparently goes on the same as anywhere else. But appearances are deceptive, so let us invite you to Świętokrzyskie, for complete booing, and to the third power. We may not have high mountains with a candle to look for the sea, but in the garden a kica gang of wild rabbits (last year there were already twenty of them!), The frequency of road traffic is measured in half the Passat per hour, and you get to know the area on horseback and by bike , canoeing or on foot. Did I mention that there are literally kilometers of forests around? Trees, rocks, reserves, fossils and dinosaur tracks. I would like to add in a whisper that we cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for you like professionalism, and we show children what the world looks like without connections. We simply put shovels in their hands and give them the opportunity to plant their own tree or with their hands white with flour, we invite them to a pizza baking workshop.
Come back once just to come back. Meet great people from the next room or rent the house in its entirety, keep a good deal with the hosts, play Wodecki on the piano or stare at the rabbits gnawing at everything in the garden that you can nibble on. It doesn't really get boring.
In the Świętokrzyska Chata, where we only have 3 rooms, it will be intimate. You can come as a couple or family, and you can rent them all for a larger gang, up to 10 people. The rooms are cozy, one of them has a private bathroom, two rooms have a shared bathroom. You can hide in them, but if you want to integrate, there is a living room with a piano, a dining room where we serve meals, a sunny terrace, and our wild rabbits are in the garden. We say ours because they live in our area and sometimes in winter we feed them with vegetables.
We have been running a restaurant for years, so we know a lot about cooking and feeding. Every morning from 9:00 we serve breakfast in the dining room at the price of PLN 35/person. We will adapt to your dietary preferences, just let us know in advance. We can prepare a vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free or gluten-free breakfast.
We also serve other meals on prior request. We determine the time of other meals together. If you feel like having smoked fish straight from the smokehouse, roasted sausage, a cauldron from the campfire, pasta or cutlets, let us know, we will be happy to prepare whatever you are in the mood for.
In the spring-summer season, we can arrange to bake pizza together in the wood-burning oven in the garden. The minimum number of pies is 6 pieces, and the price for such a pleasure is PLN 50/piece.
Only in the case of booking the entire facility exclusively, the meal offer does not apply 😀. In case of using the kitchen on your own - we provide an equipped kitchen for an additional fee of PLN 20/day) - this amount includes, among others, the fee for gas and water consumption) After a meal, clean up after yourself so that other guests can use the kitchen.
We feel that our little mission is to show our guests that the Świętokrzyskie region is worth seeing, exploring, walking, riding on horseback. That the Świętokrzyskie region is great for relaxing with a fishing rod in hand (Grzegorz will show you the best places to cast bait), in a kayak (we have kayaks for you on site and we will take you to the reservoir. The Green Velo Eastern Bike Trail is nearby). We may not have high mountains, but uphill climbing is definitely possible, we may not have the sea, but the reservoir in Bliżyn has a beautiful beach with a swimming area and a beach volleyball court. You can kayak there, sail, sunbathe on the piers.
Sedate, by definition, means maintaining its position despite the forces acting on it. So if this is how you relax best, with minimal physical involvement, then we give you full freedom. You can read books on the terrace, you can nap in a hammock and in the break from lying down you can take part in our pizza baking workshops in a wood-fired oven or go horse riding. We highly recommend the "PASJA" Horse Stud Farm, with which we work closely. It is located only 4 km from our Cottage and the Farm Owners run it with great passion and love for horses. As Mrs. Małgosia says, our stable is first and foremost a home for our horses. The lessons at the stud farm are individually tailored to each rider according to their predispositions, and the instructors have extensive experience working with horses and are able to pass on their knowledge to children, young people and adults. (Horse riding starts at 12:00. For those who want to relax in motion, we can offer ZUMBA and BANTO Fitness classes outdoors. The classes will be led by a licensed Zumba instructor and Banto fitness trainer Artur Cieślik.
As promoters of the Świętokrzyskie region, we have to tell you what is worth seeing in the area, because we will suffocate. In the really close vicinity, you should visit:
- The "Świnia Góra" reserve, which is the heart of the Świętokrzyska Forest and a reserve under complete protection, intersects with many interesting tourist trails. Many species of old trees grow here, and in spring and summer the area of the reserve blooms with purple Siberian iris, amaranth gladiolus tile. You will also find unique yellow lichens here - slime molds and crowds of mushrooms.
- Gagaty Sołtykowskie Reserve with dinosaur tracks, fossils and a truly prehistoric past.
- Mausoleum of the Martyrdom of Polish Villages in Michniów - this is a unique, modern building in a small village in the Świętokrzyskie region. The mausoleum is a branch of the Kielce Village Museum, commemorating the martyrdom of Polish villages during World War II.
- Piekielna brama (2.9 km) - located in the Suchedniowsko-Oblęgorski Landscape Park and is a unique rock formation that resembles a gate in its form. Some say it was created by man, others say it was created by a glacier passing through the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.
- Piekło Dalejowskie (4.7 km) - rocks, and maybe even walls and rock gorges in the Dalejów reserve.
- Świnia Góra (7.1 km) - is 346 m above sea level. and is the highest elevation of the Szydłówkowskie Hills.
- Bartek Oak (17 km)
- Piekło Pod Niekłaniem Rock Reserve (15 km) - you will find them in the Konecko-Łopuszniański Protected Landscape Area. They stretch for a kilometer and are up to 8 meters high. This place is really worth seeing.
- Kamień Michniowski Nature Reserve - an exceptionally beautiful forest dotted with rocks in the Sieradowicki Landscape Park.
What’s there for children?
We try to show children a different world. Even the bigger ones that ask for wifi. A world where, instead of meeting friends on the in-game server, they can make new friends in the garden. Play billiards outdoors, swim in the pool until your toes are wrinkled, take part in a pizza baking workshop in a real wood oven, have a picnic in the shade of trees, get energized on a trampoline.
You can go to the skate park (11 km), in winter we recommend the ice rink, which is only 10 km from our cottage.
With kids, be sure to go to Gagaty Sołtykowskie. There you will find traces of the real dinosaurs - you can clearly see the traces of adults and small individuals walking side by side reflected in petrified wood. One of the largest tracks of a predatory allosauropoid in Poland was also discovered in the reserve. You can also find here an equally "predatory" plant - the sundew.
