Not so long ago, beyond the seven lakes, a family from a big city fell in love with an old man. They gave him a big city and a quick life, put on galoshes and dungarees, rolled up their sleeves and decided to breathe new energy into his grandfather. Grandfather was 120 years old and was a former German habitat.
This is no fairy tale, because so many obstacles on the way to a happy ending neither the Brothers Grimm nor Andersen would invent. But we managed to get to the happy ending, and now we really want you to also meet here at least a few fairy-tale moments. For example, when you spot a herd of bison in the meadow behind the house. Or you tilt your head up at the evening fire and you will see our, your heaven. We invite you to our farm.
Our habitat is located in a small village. We make the ground floor of the house available to our guests, and we live on the first floor. In summer, it is pleasantly cool inside, in winter, properly heated former German walls guarantee comfortable stay.
The guest area consists of four rooms: two comfortable double rooms and two family rooms for 4 people. If you want to come to us in a larger group, it is possible to rent the entire guest area, which can accommodate a total of 12 people (there is also enough space for extra beds for your little ones). Each room has a private bathroom, and the common area for all rooms is a kitchen with a large table.
We have a lot of space outside, so both adults and children will find a nice place to relax and play. In the fenced garden, safe for your children, you will find a grassy pitch with goals, a badminton net, as well as deckchairs, hammocks, a place for a bonfire and a barbecue.
There are also two bicycles for our guests. In the summer season, in the barn you will find a play corner for the youngest, with a stove, doll strollers, games and books. 200 meters from us there is a fallow deer farm, a few kilometers away you can visit the Wild Farm, where children have direct contact with the unique opportunity to see the largest mammal in Europe - the bison, as well as listen to very interesting stories related to it, or even feed it by hand. The area also has one of the largest rope parks, consisting of 10 routes and over a hundred obstacles.
You can buy breakfast from us or use the common kitchen for all guests. Breakfast is usually served at 9.00. They are served at a common table, but if the number of guests is large, you can have breakfast in your room or on the terrace. The breakfast table often features vegan spreads made of beans, lentils or sun-dried tomatoes, eggs in various forms, cold meats, cheeses, vegetables from the local market, as well as honey, jams, fruit cocktails and cottage cheese. We also try to have homemade cake on the table during the season.
If you book a stay without breakfast, a fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal. In it you will find all the utensils you need to prepare meals. The cupboards have wine glasses, a corkscrew, mugs, bowls, pots, as well as coffee and aromatic teas.
Undoubtedly, the greatest advantage of our region are very clean lakes. The closest lake to us is Lake Bytyń Wielki, which is the largest nature reserve in the voivodeship, only 2 km away. Within a radius of several kilometers there are beaches in Drzewoszewo and Nakielno. For trips with children (but not only), we especially recommend the beach in Tuczno at the Liptovské lake with catering facilities and water equipment rental. Other lakes close to us with great swimming conditions are Kosiakowo and Gniewoszewo.
Another attraction is the Drawieński National Park, with its hiking, kayaking and cycling paths. The remains of German fortifications from World War II are visible at every step. The area is full of places that cannot be found in tourist guides, many of these places require the involvement of the seeker, but discovering them gives great satisfaction. Where else can you come across a mountain river in the middle of a lowland forest or the ruins of an old mill... or an adopted camel? You will certainly appreciate the lack of crowds during your exploration and you will feel like real explorers.
The surrounding rivers such as the Drawa, Korytnica, Różyca, Dobrzyca and Piława are ideal kayaking routes, the difficulty of which can be adjusted to the age and skills of the participants. They guarantee fun for families with both small and more advanced children. We recommend walking in the surrounding forests, where free herds of bison live. With a bit of luck, you can meet them, and sometimes even see them approaching the very boundaries of the property in the early dawn, looking for delicacies in home orchards. Plus wolves, lynxes, moose and lots of wild birds.
So, if you are no stranger to sunbathing or windsurfing and you already know where you are going, take a camera, a telephoto lens, binoculars, good shoes, and if you like to relax in this way, this still undiscovered tourist region will certainly not disappoint you.
