Za Lasem 6 is the address where our house is located. Although the name Przy Jezirze would probably be more appropriate, because it is a 5-minute walk to the Gowidlińskie Lake with a towel slung over your shoulder. Anyway, the Kashubian Lake District is dotted with lakes like a Dalmatian with spots. But in addition to beaches and piers, we have kayaking trails reminiscent of mountain rivers, ski slopes as befits Switzerland and homemade craft beer in the fridge. You can try our March, lager or pilsner by the fireplace, watching a movie on the projector or playing pool. You can, but you don't have to, because a slow life is an art of choice. Lying belly up or cycling around the lake? Draw landscapes or contemplate the art hanging on the walls? Go to the lake or go to the lake? There is no choice here, because it is one of the most beautiful lakes in Kashubia.
Once you reach the shore, take a look at the water and look for the island. Legend has it that in ancient times there was a castle of Prince Gowid, whose wicked wife "accidentally" killed with an arrow while hunting bears. She killed because she wanted to make her way into the heart of Mestwin's princely brother. She got her way, but when the young couple was walking down the aisle, a terrible storm suddenly broke out and blinding lightning burst into the castle chapel, striking the duchess to death. When the last guests, terrified by the accident, left the island in a panic, the castle reportedly collapsed into the depths of the lake with a bang. Many years later, the village that was forming on the shore was named after the prince from the island, Gowidlin. And this is where we invite you, to a village with a legend in the background, to a house full of warmth, to a lake without mosquitoes.
In the house that we built ourselves from scratch, we planned every detail, filled the house with my graphics, photos by my brother - a painter and tattoo artist, and then we spent every free moment in it. The whole family, with our kids, with friends. The kids are all grown up, so it's time to share the house with others and welcome guests.
We have 200 meters of a wood-scented, warm fireplace, a cozy home for you instead of going out with a ripped package. In the house there are, going from the bottom:
- basement: part with a large banquet table, billiards, ping-pong, dartboard, cinema and entertainment room and a toilet
- on the ground floor: bathroom, laundry room, living room with fireplace, kitchen and dining room,
- on the first floor: 4 double rooms,
- attic: 4 sleeping places;
- outside: a roofed terrace of 20 m2, a carport on the plot and a place for a bonfire, chili under a birch tree on deckchairs.
Welcome to the Kashubian Lake District, where we have a little bit of everything. Moraine hills and even ski slopes, lakes scattered around villages, forests, water routes for canoes, Nordic walking routes, great bicycle routes, monuments and about an hour's drive to the sea.
In fact, no matter when you come to Gowidlin, you will have an adventure. You can relax kayaking on the lake or choose an extreme sport and paddle to Soszyca on the Słupia River. In this episode, it resembles a mountain river: a fast current, large slopes, a stone bottom, numerous fallen trees, rocky thresholds. This is where the famous "Sulęczyńska gutter" is located, resembling a mountain stream. This is definitely an episode for professionals who can tame the element. Less experienced canoeists should start their canoeing trip on Słupia, skipping the first section from Lake Gowidlińskie to Kajlandia (behind the gutter).
You can cycle around Lake Gowidlino, the route can be made from asphalt to light MTB.
There are many possibilities on the beach at Lake Gowidlino. There are several descents to the water. There are small wild sand beaches and one main beach with a pier and a small bar. If you are focused on fishing, choose a different place. It can be bad here.
We have slopes for skiers, it's Kashubian Switzerland! The nearest one can be found in Sulęczyno - Amalka ski lift, just 14 km from us.
Also worth seeing:
- Węsiory - stone circles, which were most probably the meeting places of the tribal elders of the Goths and Gepids, where magical treatments were performed. The areas of today's Kashubia were once inhabited by peoples from Scandinavia, who left here burial places, burial mounds and stone circles.
- View from Wieżyca - an observation tower on the highest hill of the Szymbarskie Hills - 328.6 m above sea level
What’s there for employees?
Behind the mountain, behind the forest is our house, whose fabulous surroundings will make you not want to leave. The house has a table with rattan chairs for four, and a large sofa by the fireplace. In one of the rooms with a balcony there is a desk with an office chair, so everyone will find a comfortable place for themselves. In the basement we have a large table for twelve, where you can also connect to the office. During such a stay, work will be calmer, and you will regain strength to face its daily challenges. After work, we recommend using the terrace and relaxing in a lounger sipping craft beers.
