In soldiers' words: we have no reception, we do not collect stars and we focus on blissful laziness. And why in soldiers? Because we are in the Wolf's Lair zone. The house stands in the line of historic trenches, and in our field there is still a bunker, which was used to protect and observe the quarters, after the war the whole village used to visit it for sauna sessions and now we are working on recreating this idea.
We are located in a quiet hamlet of the village of Czerniki (German: Czarny Kamień), located on the tourist route that runs through all the most important places of Masuria, through which, according to legend, the devil flew and dropped the black stone. It was here that my grandparents moved in, chased away devils, war spirits, and my grandfather started to quietly catch fish that found their way to the tables of the Warsaw elite. It was said of them: the best! While Grandpa's idea for a life was intriguing, we can't fish. We focused on relaxation and focused on creating a comfortable place that would be a haven for anyone seeking contact with nature (we have 15,000 m² of meadowland, a lake, and moose roaming nearby). Our travels were our inspiration, and we've learned a lot from them. We've done many interesting things and been to many interesting places (we consider our wedding on a Seychelles beach to be the greatest adventure of our lives). We can pack in a single day and set off on a European journey. Mariusz worked in a corporation for many years, wandering around Europe, and one day he simply had enough. At Glemuria, he's responsible for the quality of service, good guest relations, and Excel spreadsheets. She loves walking around the establishment and thinking about how to improve the place. Natalia has been running the company entirely remotely since 2016, and all she needs to work is a computer and a head full of ideas. That's why Glemuria is ideal for remote work.
