You can't come to us while passing through the Lubusz Voivodeship. Darnawa is a village where you have to come specially - the road ends here. But as with all worthwhile things in life: there is a reward in the end. Green fields stretching to the horizon, fresh air, forests where you can pick mushrooms and ideas on how to live slower. During the day, clouds rolling slowly across the sky, and at night, a sky with so many stars that Copernicus himself would have lost count. Skotopaska means idyll. We don't want to lure you with platitudes or present a vision of shepherd's life among fields of grain, but what can we tell you that this is simply how it is for us.
Skotopaska agrotourism is our dream of having our own place on Earth. We knew we wanted it to be in this area. We came across a former German farm from the end of the 19th century at the beginning of our search. Then we visited 30 other places, but probably only to confirm that the house in Darnawa was THE ONE. We were charmed by its architecture, the layout of the farm consistent with the original one and its location at the end of the world (or at least the road). If you want to do nothing, this is a good address. Total reset, beautiful views, home cooking. Not to mention: we may be one of the slowest places on Slowhop. If this is what you are looking for, we are waiting for you.
We have at your disposal the attic of our house. Downstairs we live, upstairs there are 5 rooms prepared for our guests. 1 of them, "Raspberry Chruśniak", we call a suite, because it is bigger and has a living room in addition to the bedroom.
Each of the rooms has been arranged in a slightly different style and each has its own character. We took care of the charming (idyllic!) atmosphere in the interiors together with our Golden Hand, a specialist in self-making. In the rooms, there are surprises waiting for you, such as a self-made shower made of copper pipes or a bookcase or tables.
Our rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning and wifi. You can come with larger teams, for example several families or a group of friends, because in the attic there is also a common space where you can sit down for coffee.
Skotopaska is an ideal place for an integration trip from work, a company or family event. In the annex there is a room that was created with such circumstances in mind. But that doesn't mean we have corporate ballets here every weekend. If you are afraid that such an event could interfere with your arrival: just ask what the time of your stay with us will look like. We like peace ourselves and we would not like your rest to be disturbed.
And besides, in addition to comfortable rooms, we have more places for you to perfect the art of relaxation: terraces with comfortable armchairs, home lawns where you can lie down on a blanket, a place for a bonfire.
And those of you who like to be in the company of animals (specifically horses) will be sent to the Decyma Stable. What can you expect when visiting Decima? By the way, family atmosphere, individual approach to everyone who wants to commune with horses, and of course Agata's professional care and advice, who will teach everyone (regardless of age) how to ride a horse. Agata is an experienced instructor, and if necessary, she can conduct lessons in English. Currently, there are four horses in the stable, two of which are saddled (including a pony Luluś for children).
Oh, and the Decyma Stable is a few hundred meters from us. Also, even if you make an appointment for a ride in the morning and you are very sleepy, we will wake you up, motivate you, feed you, take you out to the gate and give you the right direction. You'll get there on foot. But if you insist, you can get there on one of our bikes.

And that's it. You will eat what Sylwia cooks for you, and Sylwia cooks in such a way that your head is small and your belly is the opposite. Creatively, aromatically, with local products. This is not only my opinion, her husband's, but also that of our previous guests. At home, we have a restored bread oven, in which Sylwia bakes bread, pizza, pita and rolls. Vegetables and herbs come from our garden, we smoke and bake cold cuts ourselves. There is always something surprising waiting for dessert :). Dishes are made in a convection oven, which is healthier than a traditional one and allows for a better taste.
Breakfast is included in the price of accommodation, and for dinner you have to pay an additional PLN 60.
We do not accommodate special diets (vegetarian, etc.). Unless:
- dishes are prepared for the entire group
- you feel like paying double the price for dinner
- PLN 50 for breakfast
You will! Skotopaska is a praise of boredom and doing nothing. It was created to fart, lie in the grass and count the clouds. This is a place for those who really want to cut themselves off from the busy everyday life. For example, we have poor coverage and average internet and we think that this is not a minus. Here you enjoy the benefits of nature and live according to its rhythm.
So you can:
- go for a walk in the forest (we have Nordic walking poles for you),
- go to Niesłysz lake (10 km away) and hear nothing all day long, because it's easy to find a secluded place above it; in addition, the purity of the water is prima sort, which is why it is also an ideal place for diving and fishing; you can also rent a kayak over it,
- go on a bike - the surrounding routes will be perfect for this - you do not have to take yours, you can use ours, prepared for guests.
In addition, in Skotopaska, professional chill equipment awaits you: deckchairs, hammocks, rocking chairs and a sauna. There are also stretches of grass where you can lie down. We would do yoga on it in the morning or just lie with a book.
Okay, what about when you are already pouring out and leaving our place for all the times? You can always go on a trip.
- In Świebodzin, in addition to Christ, you will see the historic market square with the town hall from the 16th century and the neo-Gothic church of St. Michael the Archangel from the 15th century.
- In Zielona Góra - you know - there is a colorful old town, there is a charming princely park Zatonie with the ruins of a palace, there is the Kepler Science Center with a planetarium (one of three in the world where the position of the dome changes during the projection!). But did you know, for example, that there are over a dozen vineyards in this city and its vicinity? That you can visit the historic wine cellars and see the winery house from 1818? For wine lovers, this city is a must as well as ice cream with rainbow sprinkles at the green school in Mielno.
- We also remind you that we are located in the Lubuskie Lake District. You don't have to visit all 600 lakes in the area right away, but for example, Trześniowskie Lake with turquoise water and a forest beach, we would go to. Above it lies Łagów Lubuski, a beautifully situated village (just go for it!) With the castle of the Knights Hospitaller and two historic city gates. It's worth it.
- Have you heard about the Międzyrzecki Fortified Region? It is a German fortification system created to protect the eastern borders of the Reich in 1934-44. MRU is one of the largest underground fortifications in the world! The corridors are approx. 35 km long in total. Currently, there is a bat reserve in them: about 30 thousand of them winter there. What's more: one of the quests developed by the tourist association in which we operate leads to MRU. Questing is our hobby in general and two of the field games played in our region are just starting with us! We are happy to recommend routes and tell you everything on the spot.
What’s there for children?
We warn you in advance: smaller kids may be boring here, because we do not have a playground or special attractions for them. But if you want to show some older people real life in the countryside, pack comfortable shoes and come with the menagerie. Take the minors to go mushroom hunting, fishing, canoeing and a holiday on the beach by the lake. We also have babington and badminton equipment ... paddles, board games and bicycles with trailers for children. Everything at your disposal.
