At a time when the world was stopped in black and white photographs, and in fact it was juicier than it is today, at the very quiet end of Jelenia Góra, in Jagniątkowo, there was a pre-war cafe, confectionery and bakery Wennrich (Konditorei Cafe Wennrich). It stood long before the 20th century and is still standing today, already 150 years old. When we found her after a long time of searching for the perfect place, she was in a state of total decay. But what to do, the heart is not a servant. And ours killed right to this place. We dreamed of a family guesthouse in which the musical theme is jazz. It oozes quietly from the loudspeakers for the English breakfast, and on Saturday evenings it sounds live thanks to talented musicians from the area. He wanders around the bar, resonates in glasses of red wine, and sometimes makes him dance.
The guesthouse has become our center of the universe. This is where we cook lunches for you, Tim bakes a chocolate-chocolate cake, we sit with you by the fireplace for Polish-English chats, we advise you where to bike and where to walk. In fact, there is no need to say a lot, just go beyond the fence, because at the back of the house, trails, MTB routes and peaks begin. You can enter the Gerhart Hauptmann House Museum, you can feel like you are in Japan, you can soak your feet in a stream or take a bath in a waterfall. And then come back, have a cold beer on the terrace, lie in a hammock or eat what Tim conjured up in the kitchen. We invite you to all this jazz in Jagniątkowo.

Me, Kasia - a volcano of energy, my husband Tim - a native Englishman and passionate about cooking. We ran a PUB in Great Britain for many years, until we made the decision that we want to try our life in Poland. I came back to Poland, Tim emigrated. We have been looking for the perfect building for our guesthouse and bar for over 2 years. Until we finally found a 150-year-old old house, which in the first half of the 20th century housed the Konditorei Cafe Wennrich, that is the "Wennrich" cafe and confectionery. That was it, but we didn't know it would take us almost 4 years to refurbish. We miraculously managed to preserve the old parquet floors, we filled the villa with classic furniture, a 100-year-old Bechstein piano was placed in the restaurant, and the walls are decorated with historical photographs of our house. We love people, our Koliba, good food and good music, so here you will comfort your ear with good music and delicious English breakfasts. We are very positive and open to new challenges.
