We fell in love with Mongolian yurts while traveling through Wales. What's the deal with them? Only those who spend the night in a yurt will understand this. There is some magic in it: the round shape of the room, the goat warming it, the closeness to nature. It's true that we didn't cover them with leather or hair, but city visitors can still feel wild here. At night, thanks to the opening dome, you can observe the stars from inside. And the silence is the kind you rarely experience in life. All you can hear is the crackling of the fire and the sound of cranes in the morning. Our yurts are a place where you can really forget about yourself. If your dream of a perfect holiday includes sleeping in the forest and looking at the starry sky, we invite you to our fairy tale.
We once dreamed that we would create a place where you could be as close to nature as possible. Or actually, I had a dream: I always knew that I would return to Ptusza and open my own agritourism farm here. I just didn't know it would take so many years - but it's nice to be an example that it's never too late to make your dreams come true. So before our yurts were built, I had an English husband, a daughter and Nela, our Bernese Mountain Dog. I infected them with my dream (only Nela didn't need any encouragement) and here they are: Fairy Tale Yurts in the middle of nowhere, a forest refuge that we are creating together - now with four dogs - and to which we invite you.
One of our two yurts is at your disposal: Butterfly or Dragonfly. Each of them can accommodate 4 people: inside there is a double bed and a fold-out sofa. There are bathrooms in the yurts with a shower cubicle and a toilet, so don't be afraid of the frog that the conditions will be field - it's more glamping than camping. We hid it among the trees on our forest plot, where several attractions await you. Each yurt has a tub, and there is a table and chairs outside if you would like to eat breakfast or dinner in the (very) fresh air. We also have a place for a bonfire, without which we cannot imagine a perfect trip to the yurts, hammock and sauna, which are located in our private forest.
There is also our house on the plot with yurts. The property is huge and we live on the opposite side and separate from our guests' area. So if you need us - we are there, but the principle is that we do not get in our way, and you have privacy and complete relaxation.
We do not serve meals - as befits yurts on the edge of the forest, you will eat what you cook yourself. We have prepared for you fully equipped kitchens and, on request, for an additional fee, a welcome basket with products for breakfast: in it you will find bread baked by us, eggs from our hens, cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables, homemade jams and something sweet for coffee. You have 4 km to the nearest shops.
On the plot there is also a place for a barbecue and a cauldron, where, if we were you, we would brew roasts and then eat them, looking into the flames of the fire. Anyway ... what we will tell you, all lovers of forest climates will understand. If you don't plan on cooking or cauldroning - which you should think twice - there are also good restaurants nearby that you can drive to.
People come to us to breathe in the forest, sit in the wild and cut themselves off from the whole world. It is a forest asylum where you can ventilate your head and forget about everyday life. We recommend turning off your phones and learning about tree species, and at night staring at the stars. In autumn you can go mushroom picking and arrange bouquets of leaves, and in winter you can go sledding.
And when you inhale the fresh air and meditate in the surroundings of the forest, it's time to relax your body. In front of each of the yurts there is a hot tub waiting for you, in which it is the best to immerse yourself in winter, when the frost pinches your nose and white around. Not to mention - such a hot bath among the trees, with a view of the evening sky, is an exceptionally pleasant thing. Just like a sauna, in which you will warm up all the time, even when the outside temperature is negative. Soft bathrobes will be waiting for you, which you will jump into right after leaving. In the summer, for a continuum of relaxation, it is best to move straight to the sunbeds, while in the winter you will hide in a yurt with a book.
If you like active holidays: good news. On site we have bicycles, Nordic walking poles and badminton equipment for you. The area itself encourages activity: there are great running and cycling routes around, it would also be a sin not to go kayaking. 250 m from our plot flows the river Gwda, it is also a stone's throw to Lake Ptuszowskie. We will help you organize kayaks from a friendly company and tell you where to go with them.
Avid anglers and ornithologists will have a paradise here. Moczykije from all over the province come to Lake Ptuszowskie, that's how good fishing is there. Over the Gwda pool, which is an area of special protection for birds, you can observe eagle owls, nightjars, goldeneyes and mergansers until you drop.
What’s there for children?
For children, playing Indiana Jones, wandering in the woods, fishing in a river or lake, collecting cones and picking sticks in the ground until you drop. Our yurts are not survival, but also a fully equipped playground. Staying with us is an ideal option for schoolchildren who are curious about the world, and you will organize their time here in a creative way. We have books and board games for them, but that's where it ends - the rest is up to you and your imagination. Just remember, please, that the next yurt can be used by other guests who do not have to like the same games; it is worth bearing in mind their needs.
