The text about dropping everything and going to the Bieszczady Mountains has become a synonym of a desire to change. But it's easier said than done. It is out of the way from almost anywhere in Poland. This is our strength. You have to really want to reach Biesy through serpentine roads, narrow roads, sometimes over a stream and mud. The reward for a long and winding route is sweet though. Even the blackest sky where you can count the stars and craters on the moon with the naked eye. Our cozy Herbarium at the green end of the village, at the very top of the hill. Wooden and brick apartments with herbal references. Winter afternoons by the fireplace and summer evenings around the fire. Foggy mornings on the terrace with coffee and a view of the whole village. Finally, traces of bears, wolves and bison in the surrounding forests or trips to the abandoned village of Boyko. A little further, walks along the mountain meadows, sailing on Solina and coffee in a mountain shelter. Cycling through the little Bieszczady loop is completely under his breath. All you have to do is get on your bike, go down the hill and pedal 99 km through the Bieszczady Mountains and the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains. Or maybe you will come up with a crazy idea to come to us on bikes? All two-wheelers are welcome.
We invite you to our rustic house with a Lemko soul, where the floor creaks about the fascinating past of the Bieszczady Mountains, and the sooty bricks hide pre-war stories. How to run away from life is up to us.
At the top of the hill, with a beautiful view of the Bieszczady landscapes, at the green end of the village, where there are meadows, forests and fields. On a large plot (5900 m2) we have two houses for you with 5 independent apartments, the names of which were taken from the herbarium of Szymon Syreniusz written in 1613. There is also a gazebo in the clearing, a fireplace, and sun loungers.
The apartments have their own kitchens, lounges with fireplaces, terraces with a beautiful view, comfortable garden furniture with cushions and a comfortable cocoon. Comfortable mattresses, good-quality bedding, the blackest sky and blissful silence ensure a great night's sleep. They differ in the number of bedrooms and size. The smallest one is designed for 3 people and the largest one for 7 people. Bathrooms equipped with hotel dispensers with beautifully scented cosmetics (body, hair).
Despite the fact that the buildings are new, they have a lot of old Bieszczady spirit in them.
The old wood that adorns the walls comes from the demolition of old buildings. Original bricks - from pre-war buildings, and stone from Bieszczady quarries. All these elements were recovered and thus saved from destruction and oblivion. Each element has its own story. Thanks to this authenticity, the interior takes on an atmosphere.
We have a suspicion that you may fall in love with this place, as well as we do. The proximity of nature and peace allow you to calm down and relax. On the one hand, we are a bit at the end of the world, and certainly at the end of the village, and on the other hand, close to what is known and liked in the Bieszczady Mountains. Being here, you will discover not only the beauty of the mountains, but also the history of the area. Right under the windows, there is a trail leading to the abandoned village of Bereźnica Niżna in Pobojków, which may be an impulse to delve into the past. You will be able to feel like real discoverers of the new-old times. The green trail runs from Myczków to Bereźnica Niżna. Behind the shop in Hoczew, first an asphalt road begins, then a gravel road, and then (after passing the pulpit) a dirt road slightly upwards. After the rain, the route is muddy, but it is worth taking decent shoes anyway, because you will have to cross the Bereźniczka stream. It is worth looking at your feet to see traces of deer, wolves or bears. When you pass a meadow in the middle of the forest, it is a sign that it is close. The fruit trees will be a sign that it's here. In addition, the remains of cellars, ruins of a chapel, traces of an old house and a cemetery. So much is left of the village, which was founded in the 16th century and disappeared from the surface due to the displacement of the Vistula operation. It is one of the most unique and wild places in this part of the Bieszczady Mountains. Despite the proximity of Solina or Polańczyk, there is a really different world here. Using another trail, you will go straight to Berezka.
Another sign of history is the ruins of the church in Berezka. It is very easy to come here, because the remains of the church are located near the road, behind the church. It is an extremely charming place, very photogenic. Look out for the preserved polychromes on the walls and arches. There is an information board next to the church, on which you can read a bit about the history of the temple. Next to it, there is a cemetery with several old tombstones.
The exploration of the Bieszczady churches is continued. The church in Komancza belongs to the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church. It was built in 1800 after the fire of the previous temple as a Greek Catholic church. The temple burned down in 2006 and in its place a new one was built, similar to the previous one. The belfry, on the other hand, was saved from the fire and, together with the church cemetery, is included in the register of monuments.
For people who like water and cannot imagine their holidays without it, we are in the perfect place for a trip to Solina. Beautiful lake, sailboats, a walk along the dam, sunbathing.
From Polańczyk (less than 5 km from us) you can take a nice red trail in 5.5 km to the dam in Solina. The route leads along forest paths and also through several bridges. After rainy periods, the route can be quite muddy.
In bad weather, the recipe for relaxation is a fireplace, books of various colors for young and old, board games.
Our Berezka is located on the Mała Bieszczady loop, so bicycle and motorcycle trips are even recommended. On the 99-kilometer route you will admire the most beautiful landscapes of the Bieszczady and the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains. It runs through the Cisniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park, the San Valley Landscape Park and the Słonne Mountains Landscape Park.
The Chata Puchatka shelter at the top of Hasiakowa Rock is worth visiting absolutely always, because the views from here will remain in your memory forever. In winter, however, it is really magical here.
In the nearby Hoczewie, there is the Żubra Puchary Habitat, where you can meet a whole herd of these majestic animals.
