There is a house in Kotlina Kłodzka that remembers many dreams. Those fulfilled and those not.
What were those made by the first German owners, we do not know. Then Mrs. Halinka dreamed here. The former owner cultivated the field, kept her geese at home in winter so that they wouldn't get cold, and wanted to open her own agritourism here. She didn't make it. Then, for 5 long years, the building stood empty waiting for me. I dreamed of returning to my hometown of the Kłodzko Valley, of a house with history and a large garden, and this one turned out to be perfect. I was supposed to live here in beautiful interiors, tend the garden and grow vegetables (I even enrolled in an agricultural school!). And rest after all these years of stress and racing in Warsaw. When I was doing the renovation, everyone knocked on the head. It lasted continuously for several years, and I was always there. I've learned to sleep with the chorus of drills, the hum of concrete mixers, and the bustle of crews. Because I knew that one day the renovation would end and it would be here as it was supposed to be. There will be rooms in an enfilade, curtains in the doorways, and a sandstone floor.
And then it turned out that the real home turned out to be my husband. I met him quite unexpectedly and for him ... I returned to the capital. This is how the Colonel's House went for rent. And even though my husband has just retired and we take care of the guests together, the house is already for you - because I want you to enjoy it as much as I do. So that you can see the spring greenery of the orchard, which turns your head every spring. So that you, lying in the meadow behind the house, forget about everyday life, swing in a hammock and go cycling in the Bardzkie Mountains. You can pick raspberries and bake a tart or cook a vegetable one from vegetables from the garden. I believe that you will appreciate this old house, remembering several generations, in the renovation and furnishing of which I put my whole heart and half a decade. Come to the Colonel's House, created out of passion and dreams - against good advice and common sense. You will rest here in luxurious, refined interiors, where I tried to preserve as much history as possible. Make yourself at home! This place is alive when it's full of people.

I am a newly-baked Colonel. I wanted to live in the countryside, in my hometown, in the Kłodzko Valley. I wanted to escape the big city and the great stress of running a cleaning company. I bought an old, post-German house. I renovated it to live in it, and then He appeared. I came back to the city for Him. The house was empty. It was waiting for us and for you. Now that the Colonel has retired, we take care of it together. Enjoy it, take care of it. Let it be filled with your laughter, your stories and your memories. Let it live and breathe. The Colonel's house is my work. In it, I combine the old with the new, I patch, fill, paint. I retain the particles that are its tissue, I remove the accumulated ugliness. I decorate with good design. I relax by working long hours in the garden. I am interested in the history of garden art, psychology and the history of medicine. I believe that the more dogs, the merrier :)

At the Colonel's House, you'll find an eclectic mix of what was once with the beautiful and comfortable. You will walk on the restored dance floor of a former German tavern, carefully preserved by liters of alcohol and thousands of dancing feet, and sleep in a new, comfortable bed.
