At a glance
Stretch your imagination, because we're transported back in time. It's 1802, and a carriage arrives at the Bukowiec estate, surrounded by flowers, applause, and fireworks. The local residents and servants are welcoming the new Lady. Little do they know that Countess Friederike and her husband, Friedrich Wilhelm von Reden, will quickly transform the Bukowiec estate into an extraordinary residence with a beautiful park in the style of an English "Ornamental Farm." On 120 hectares, they will create a romantic, rural estate with a thriving farmstead, whose aesthetics will delight for centuries to come. Even the barn, sheepfold, and cowshed will be classicist architectural gems. The von Reden family were ahead of their time. He was the director of the Higher Mining Office, a specialist in steelworks and mines, a minister in the Prussian government, and a talented gardener. He personally designed the Bukowiec park. And a true romantic! On their second wedding anniversary, he gave his wife a beautiful teahouse, a building shaped like a Greek temple. She was a German noblewoman, raised in North America, an altruist, and a patron of the arts. Today, we would say she was a woman who wasn't afraid of any work. She implemented economic plans, made fruit preserves, managed a brewery, bred purebred cows, and managed the estate.
Today, 200 years later, Bukowiec Farm and Park is still a unique place. The former farm buildings have become an Artistic Barn, a Sheepfold with cozy rooms, museums, and a café. The park is still enchanting, the views of the Karkonosze Mountains are jaw-dropping, and a night tour of the estate allows you to travel back in time. Come and enjoy concerts, workshops, exhibitions, and relaxation. We cordially invite you to the home of Count von Reden. We will be happy to welcome you just as Friederike would have wished.

We cordially invite you to the unique place of BUKOWIEC Farm and Park. This is the only historic ornamental farm in Poland, inspired by the 19th-century concept of romantic gardens from England. The estate boasts 120 hectares of landscaped parkland, 10 ponds, a tower and numerous viewpoints, historic buildings, countless paths, and the queen of the Karkonosze Mountains – Śnieżka – seems within reach. BUKOWIEC Farm and Park is a magical place, with a wonderful love story behind it, perfect for all who love nature. A bike ride along the numerous paths of our park complex? A bonfire? Or perhaps an evening walk with lanterns through the park, guided by our guide? All this, plus wonderful cultural events, await you in Bukowiec! On a rainy day, check out our museum offerings: in the Artistic Barn building, you can learn about the history of the castles and palaces of the Jelenia Góra Valley, and in the former brewery building, virtual Hubert will introduce you to the secrets of the forest and lead you to encounters with forest animals. We'll gladly admit one more thing: our place is addictive, and we love it, because nothing brings us more joy than your return. We look forward to seeing you!
