In Smoląg, near Ropuch and Płaczew, in the close vicinity of Rzeżęcin and Gąsiorki, our agritourism farm Żuraw is located. The thing with Żuraw is that whoever comes once, stays. For longer or forever: like our group of cats and our stray dog, Misia. We have a 100-year-old wooden cottage for smaller teams and a brand new apartment above the barn, where larger groups can go to the grand finale. We have meadows, forests, streams and all the surrounding goodness of Kociewo and Kashubia. And lots of ideas on how to make your holidays in the Polish countryside much more interesting than in Dubai.
They say that everyone is the architect of their own fate. Moreover, I am the farrier of a large group of horses. Before I became one, I was also a DJ and an employee of the Tricity gastro. But I met Klaudia, a horse riding instructor, who infected me with her love for horses. We decided to escape from the city and here we are together: in an agritourism farm in Kociewie, running which gives us as much fun as our pony Torciak does nibbling fresh hay. We will infect you with good energy and share the best we have. We will feed you with home-made meats and vegetables from our garden, we will show you which hen lays green eggs and we will give you a sauna session that will make you remember. Come with children, with animals and with your heads open to idyllic adventures.
Give up city life for a moment or two and come to our agritourism farm in Kociewie.
We are happy to host you in three different places that make up the agro cranes:
- Poniatówka: a 100-year-old wooden cottage with two bedrooms (for up to 4 people),
- wooden apartment (for up to 4 people, but perfect for romantic stays for two),
- The apartment above the barn (for max. 10 people; this is our new one, we have recently finished it, of all our places it has the most modern decor).
We welcome both single tourists and families with children.
On the farm, apart from renting rooms for you and taking care of an unforgettable experience of your stay, we simply live. And with us our cats, doggy, chickens, rabbits and pony Torciak.
So we say openly: it is a place for those who appreciate a truly idyllic atmosphere. Just like you, we love peace, but you have to take into account that someone from our cheerful team may be around. We are very open people and we like to get to know our guests. Running agro is our passion, and your visits will add color to our already colorful life with the whole crowd. If you can feel it, we wait with open arms. And of course, we invite you with your pets - they are all welcome.
Breakfasts are included in the accommodation price, and dinners cost PLN 60. There's nothing wrong with food: we approach everything we do with heart, and this is also the case here. We have eggs from our hens, seasonal vegetables from our own garden, game meats without preservatives and unnecessary enhancers. If you are lucky, you will also try the irreplaceable hostess's signature Polish dishes. And on a daily basis, Klaudia specializes in baking and you can always count on some delicious cake.
We serve boredom in the best, rural and idyllic version, including wandering around meadows and forests, communing with animals and generally enjoying the charms of the picturesquely located agro farm in Kociewie. We made sure that you can really relax with us and we have a sauna, an outdoor tub and even a small swimming pool for you.
An interesting fact is that the sauna is one of my passions and apart from being a horse farrier, I am also... a certified sauna master. This means that in our agritourism you can take advantage of professional, aromatic sauna sessions, which I strongly (sic!) encourage you to do.
In addition, we offer you:
- horse riding,
– carriage rides,
– bicycle trips,
– kayaking,
– mushroom picking,
– fishing,
– swinging in a hammock,
– evening bonfires,
– lying on a lounger by the pool,
- wildlife watching
– evening bonfires and barbecues
- pony rides.
We can also recommend you some attractions in the area, because it just so happens that it is both beautiful and interesting.
– 10 km from us you can visit an open-air museum: Owidz settlement. It is a reconstructed medieval stronghold, in which there is also the Museum of Slavic Mythology. Various scientific meetings and archaeological festivals are held in the settlement. If the old history of Poland is your hobby, it is worth taking an interest.
– Have you heard of Wit Stwosz? And about the folk sculptor Alfons Paschilke? Mr. Alfons became famous for making a copy of the famous Stoss altar, which was purchased by the museum in Nuremberg. And now his son Zygmunt Paschilke, who is also a folk sculptor, runs a private museum and studio in the old railway station in Osieczna. And we see something that this is a matter for slowhop seekers of regional curiosities.
– And one more taste of archaeological and historical nature: the ancient gardens of Pastor Johannes Mühlradt. One will say: a pile of stones, the other: fascinating. In the 19th century, a pastor lived in Płociczno, who founded a garden on the hill with columns, palisades and 200 fruit trees of various kinds. Today, the mysterious remains of the garden can be found in the middle of the forest.
What’s there for children?
Real adventures await children with us. We have a large playground, saw gates and even a wooden base with cushions, which we have built ourselves - but it's still nothing when playing with our pets. Whoever fed goats and rabbits for a kid knows. Pony rides are also an absolute hit. And if a group of volunteers comes together, I can organize DIY workshops for small builders.
