In Smoląg, near Ropuchy and Płaczewo, in the close vicinity of Rzeżęcin and Gąsiorków, stands our agritourism farm Żuraw. The thing about Żuraw is that whoever drops in once, stays. For longer or forever: like our group of cats and our stray dog Misia. We have a 100-year-old wooden cottage for smaller teams and a brand new apartment above the barn, where you can ride a grande in a larger group. We have meadows, forests, streams and all the local assets of Kociewo and Kashubia. And a lot of ideas on how to make a vacation in the Polish countryside much more interesting than in Dubai.
They say that everyone is the blacksmith of their own fate. And in addition to that, I am the blacksmith of a large group of horses. Before I became one, I was also a DJ and an employee of a Tri-City gastronomy. But I met Klaudia, a horse riding instructor, who infected me with her love of horses. We decided to escape from the city and here we are together: in an agritourism farm in Kociewie, which we enjoy running as much as our herd of horses enjoys nibbling on fresh grass in the pasture. We will infect you with good energy and share the best of what we have. We will feed you with homemade cold cuts and vegetables from our garden, we will show you which hen lays green eggs and we will have a sauna session that you will remember. Come with your children, with your animals and with your minds open to idyllic adventures.
Leave city life for a moment or two and drop by our agritourism farm in Kociewie.
We will be happy to host you in three different places that make up the agro cranes:
– Poniatówka: a 100-year-old wooden cottage with two bedrooms (for up to 4 people),
– Wooden apartment (for up to 4 people, but ideal for romantic stays for two),
– Apartment above the stable (for up to 10 people; this is our new one, we recently finished it, it has the most modern decor of all our places).
- Cottage on the pasture (for a couple) close to nature and with a bathtub on the terrace with the possibility of admiring the stars!
Both individual tourists and families with children are welcome here.
In addition to renting rooms to you and taking care of unforgettable experiences from your stay, we simply live on the farm. And with us our cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits and a herd of wonderful horses and ponies.
So let's be honest: this is a place for those who appreciate truly idyllic atmospheres. Just like you, we love peace, but you have to take into account that someone from our cheerful team may be hanging around the premises. We are very open people and we like to get to know our guests. Running an agro is our passion, and your visits add colour to our already colourful life with the whole group. If you feel this, we are waiting with open arms. And of course we invite you with pets - all are welcome with us. And we encourage you to take horse riding lessons, you have to feel it!
Breakfasts are included in the price of accommodation, and dinners cost PLN 60. There is no shortage of food: we approach everything we do with heart, and this is no exception. We have eggs from our hens, seasonal vegetables from our own garden, cold cuts from a local shop and unnecessary improvers. If you are lucky, you will also try the signature Polish dishes of the irreplaceable Hostess. And in everyday life, Klaudia is not only a horse riding instructor, but also specializes in baking and you can always count on some delicious cake.
We serve boredom in the best, rural and idyllic version, including wandering around meadows and forests, communing with animals and generally enjoying the charms of the picturesquely located agro farm in Kociewie. We made sure that you can really relax with us and we have a sauna, an outdoor tub and even a small swimming pool for you.
An interesting fact is that the sauna is one of my passions and apart from being a horse farrier, I am also... a certified sauna master. This means that in our agritourism you can take advantage of professional, aromatic sauna sessions, which I strongly (sic!) encourage you to do.
In addition, we offer you:
- horse riding,
– carriage rides,
– bicycle trips,
– kayaking,
– mushroom picking,
– fishing,
– swinging in a hammock,
– evening bonfires,
– lying on a lounger by the pool,
- wildlife watching
– evening bonfires and barbecues
- pony rides.
We can also recommend you some attractions in the area, because it just so happens that it is both beautiful and interesting.
– 10 km from us you can visit an open-air museum: Owidz settlement. It is a reconstructed medieval stronghold, in which there is also the Museum of Slavic Mythology. Various scientific meetings and archaeological festivals are held in the settlement. If the old history of Poland is your hobby, it is worth taking an interest.
– Have you heard of Wit Stwosz? And about the folk sculptor Alfons Paschilke? Mr. Alfons became famous for making a copy of the famous Stoss altar, which was purchased by the museum in Nuremberg. And now his son Zygmunt Paschilke, who is also a folk sculptor, runs a private museum and studio in the old railway station in Osieczna. And we see something that this is a matter for slowhop seekers of regional curiosities.
– And one more taste of archaeological and historical nature: the ancient gardens of Pastor Johannes Mühlradt. One will say: a pile of stones, the other: fascinating. In the 19th century, a pastor lived in Płociczno, who founded a garden on the hill with columns, palisades and 200 fruit trees of various kinds. Today, the mysterious remains of the garden can be found in the middle of the forest.
What’s there for children?
Children can enjoy real adventures here. We have a large playground, a windmill with a climbing wall, a pitch for playing football and net, and a wooden base with cushions that we built ourselves – but that's nothing compared to playing with our animals. Anyone who fed goats and rabbits as a child knows that. Pony and horse rides are also an absolute hit. And if a group of volunteers gathers, I can organize DIY workshops for little builders.
What’s there for employees?
We have several hidden corners among the bushes where you can hide with your laptop, use our WiFi and simply work in idyllic conditions, close to nature and with a view of the horses.
