Przystawy is agritourism made of flesh and blood. Or maybe most of all from the heart and hospitality. My name is Klaudia and together with my parents Agnieszka and Roman I run this guest house in Central Pomerania. I returned to the countryside after several years of living in the city and I am experiencing a new beginning here. I love the moments when we serve breakfast to our guests in the morning. Kids' ears tremble over pancakes, adults appreciate vegetables from our garden. And then, at the common table, we talk about what for dinner. Or when we challenge our little holidaymakers to build a treehouse or bake their own pizza. Here, the little ones have their hands full of work or raspberries, and their feet are black and green from chasing on the grass. There is also a place for dogs. We love animals very much and everyone is welcome here.
We want Przystawy to be as calm as it is. To turn into a home kindergarten in summer, in winter they would be a storage room for those longing for an empty beach, in autumn they attracted enthusiasts of warming meals, and in spring they tempted with a bright green garden. You can hide here from the visual chaos of the Baltic resorts and just jump out on uninhabited beaches, which we will tell you about.
Przystawy is a real agritourism in the middle of the village. We only have 4 rooms in a 150-year-old house where my dad and later me grew up. The house and the currently undeveloped barn are located on a large, almost 3 ha area with an orchard, a vegetable garden, children's nooks, a pond, a forested part, where you can meet deer and deer.
For guests we have:
- 2 5-bed rooms with bathrooms and kitchenettes (sink, dish dryer, microwave),
- 4-bed room with bathroom and kitchenette (sink, dish dryer, microwave)
- a 4-person room on the ground floor without a kitchenette, but with a bathroom adapted to people with disabilities.
- shared, fully equipped kitchen and dining room.
We care very much to feed you primarily nutritionally. Not only tasty, but also qualitative, fresh and light. This is how we like to cook and eat best.
We serve at a shared table. In summer on the terrace when cold in the dining room. We try to seat large families or groups separately so that they feel comfortable in their own sauce. We cook vegetarian, with vegetables and fruit from our garden, with dairy from a proven source, from happy organic-fed cows, with eggs from auntie.
Breakfasts are included. There is always something savory - shakshouka, boiled eggs or scrambled eggs with chanterelles. There is no shortage of sweet, such as baked pancakes with cottage cheese, cake, banana bread, and pancakes. Good quality breads. Of course, there are also vegetables from the garden.
Dinners are for those willing. They consist of a soup and a second.
We cook simply and seasonally. For example, soups can include kale cream with kale chips, tomato, pumpkin, young beetroot soup with buttermilk from a friendly farm, fantastic barley soup with smoked potato, cauliflower, and asparagus cream on coconut milk. The second one may be tart Provencal on shortcrust pastry with salad or new potatoes with fried egg and cucumber salad.
We always ask our guests about their special dietary needs. We like challenges, so a gluten-free or sugar-free diet is not a problem for us.
If you can't see guests in the garden, in the hammock, on the terrace or in the currants, it probably means that they are by the sea. We always recommend our favorite beach between Dąbki and Dąbkowice. You can then avoid the visual chaos of the stalls and the tourist waterfront and choose your own few dozen meters of almost deserted beach. You can get there in 20 minutes by car and less than an hour by bike. You ride a part of the bicycle route, so it is safe and you can move your children. We have bikes on site, so trips in different directions are possible.
You go to the beach through the forest and, as with such peaceful beaches, you have to venture a little further than the standard sunbather. If there is no good weather for sunbathing, you can use Lake Bukowo (in Dąbki) and, for example, try your hand at windsurfing.
And if you ask us where to go kayaking, we will put you in touch with a befriended organizer of canoeing trips on the Grabowa River.
Of course, we recommend the forest for a walk. Perfectly soothes the nerves, promotes oxygenation and rejuvenates. And by the way, you can find some mushrooms. You can also choose the direction of the joints. They are getting more and more overgrown, but you will surely be able to walk around them. And they are close to the Grabowa River, so you will immediately hit the river. Then you will surely be satisfied with the amount of water.
Besides, time is spent in the garden. You test the terrace late into the night, read books on the grass, pick fruit, sit by the fire, grill. We have a large area, so everyone will find a quiet space for themselves.
We have also recently had a luxurious rural SPA service. Luxurious for us. There are bathtubs in the orchard. We fill them with herbs and hot water, the tub is heated by fire. You can order such a bath. Solo or hand in hand.
When you come to us for a longer time, you can go to Swołów, which is called a checked village. Buy a ticket to the Pomeranian Folk Culture Museum, see the exemplary example of Pomeranian oval shapes and find out what everyday life was like in the former Pomeranian village.
What’s there for children?
Our children are free, happy, barefoot and run-of-the-mill. They feel at home, they feel good here. During the summer holidays, we often have a lot of little feet movement here. Most often, families with children up to 5 years old rest with us. Probably such little ones feel our space the most. In July and August it is really fun and noisy. Something happens all day. And it's Papa Roman who organizes carpentry workshops, and we cook something in the mud kitchen. We bake a pizza together in a bread oven, and the young pizzaiolos choose the ingredients for their puck themselves. And when it is too quiet it is a sign that the kids are up to something in the treehouse or are rummaging in raspberries.
Our area is large, perfect for runaway guests. We have a playground in front of the house, a trampoline in the garden, hammocks, a lot of fruit straight from a tree or bush.
The plot goes almost to the forest. Behind the house, there is a wild pond (reservoir) in the distance. The water is far enough away that kids won't go there on their own. You have to put on shoes or rubber boots and bring your parents on this trip. And when you get to the pond, you can also pick herbs from the meadow and flowers for a bouquet. You just have to watch out for the tall nettles.
