We had such a dream: houses in the Masurian forest, where you can relax with your family. The kind where parents can sip wine while resting in the bubbles, and the bubbles can be safely fed to plastic dinosaurs with leaves. That it would be close to the lake, not the farthest to civilization, because sometimes it's nice to eat something in a pub, to let the birds sing and the forest rustle. We were building with our newborn under our armpits, and when we sometimes felt that the pine was knocked over us, we inhaled the smell of the forest and we already knew that the road was this way. And today we can invite you to Pelnik in Masuria.
Go to Dzika Sosna as a family, with a group of friends or just as a couple. We will make sure that everyone is comfortable here. Come for digital detox or work, for bubbling in the jacuzzi or splashing in the lake. We have a blissful peace for you, beautiful nature and a lot of slack. You can indulge in lazy relaxation alternately with cycling, sightseeing and sailing on the lakes. You can go to the local art gallery, the most beautiful open-air museum in Poland, or not go anywhere at all. There is no compulsion here, and time flows at its own pace. Pack your dinosaurs and drop by.
We invite those who want to relax among the trees, in cozy and comfortable interiors. You will sleep in one of our 2 wooden houses located on a forest plot in Pelnik. The cottages are indentiko and each of them can accommodate 6 people. Have:
– 2 bedrooms,
– 1 bathroom with a shower,
– kitchenette with dining room and living room,
– TV and children's corner,
– large terrace with relaxation.
The houses are right next to each other and it may happen that other guests will be relaxing there with you at the same time. A nice idea is to gather two families and rent both houses.
Our plot is forested, quiet and peaceful, but it is not located in a complete remote area (only halfway). There are other houses nearby that can be seen from behind the fence. But no one should disturb your peace here.
In a well-equipped kitchen, you can realize your culinary fantasies for which you did not have enough time before. Important things: we have a pressure coffee maker and a dishwasher. Below we have left you tips on where to go for good, ecological products: cold meats, cheeses.
For those who stay away from pots or just skip cooking while on vacation, we recommend a few nearby restaurants.
We wouldn't say a bad word about boredom. In everyday life, there is little space for it, and Dzika Sosna is just there to come and get bored. You can rock in the hammock and read that fat book that was long overdue, relax in the jacuzzi or just sit on the terrace, breathe deeply and stare into the distance. It's also good for a person.
We have a chill zone here - this is our forest beach, where there is the most sun. Here you can sit on the deckchairs and catch a tan or have a barbecue.
And when you have rested for all the times, everyday worries will evaporate from your heads and you will be carried away by the call of adventure, you can set off to discover the area. And let's be honest: there's a lot to do here. From the attractions we recommend:
– The beach in Pelnik, i.e. the one on the nearby lake Isąg. You have a 0.8 km walk to it. Isag is a picturesque, clean lake with several islands. Its surroundings are not desolate, but it is quiet and peaceful here.
– The Living Lavender Museum in Nowy Kawków – an ethnographic educational and workshop stop of our slow-hop neighbors 14 km from here. There you can taste lavender infusion, learn something about lavender, see the permanent exhibition. The museum and shop are open from May to October.
– The Basilica of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Gietrzwałd from the 15th century. Neo-Gothic architecture and decor are combined with Baroque altars and colorful polychromes by Krakow artists.
– Galeria Kawkowo – it is an atmospheric cafe combined with a gallery with works by local artists. It exudes good energy and is full of extraordinary items.
– EtnoWarmię Galeria StodołART – this is another local gallery with atmosphere. Exhibitions, workshops, concerts, vernissages, shows and much more are held here. A very positive place with a creative atmosphere.
– Folk Architecture Museum – Ethnographic Park in Olsztynek. It is an extremely picturesque and interesting open-air museum, one of the most beautiful in Poland. You will not only see traditional wooden buildings here, you will also drink herbs in the pump room and eat a regional delicacy: potato cake. It's worth coming during the week, there are few people.
What’s there for children?
The kids are doing fine here. We have two sons ourselves and we know what counts: a large terrace for trucking, a nice house with a slide in front of which you can pick sand with a stick, lots of space to play tag. You can hide behind trees, pick the best leaves, make cone soup or play at the ranger.
In addition, for children we have: games, toys, coloring books, books, crayons and children's tableware. We also invite you with the little ones, there will be a bathtub and a chair waiting for you.
