Koronczarnia. Drewniany dom na Warmii

The house is from Podlasie, we are from Krakow and Kiev, and the clay is from the backyard of Warmia. We built the inner walls of straw and clay in the so-called wattle and doub and light clay strow (in a more understandable language: mud house and light clay). We also covered the whole with natural clay plaster. The external walls owe their appearance to the old Japanese shou sugi ban method. It involves the treatment of wood with fire, which increases the durability of the material. Koronczarnia houses two bedrooms for 3 and 4 people, respectively, with both double and single beds. There is also a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen, a bathroom with a shower cabin and a washing machine. The best place to admire the world is a covered terrace with a divine view of the surrounding area.

In the house you will find a well-equipped kitchen for self-magic. There is something to charm about, because the area is famous for local products! - for bread with black cumin, go to the Lavender Field - goat cheeses are prepared in Nowe Kawkowo by Mrs. Kasia, and in Bałąg by Mrs. Julita - you will get eggs from happy chickens from Mrs. Grażyna - in Przystanek Zapupa there is great cow's milk, cottage cheese, as well as rennet and ripening cheeses - ask Mr. Darek for the best honey - vegetables as in the good old years are waiting in Skolita's Permaculture Go ahead and use the herbs from our garden (thyme, lemon balm, mint, sage, lovage, chives and others). We will be happy to advise you on how to make pancakes from wild lilac flowers growing at home or how to prepare pesto from nettle, ground elder or other delicious 'weeds' growing on our field. In an emergency, you can always just order pizzas or jump to the nearest restaurants.

Nowe Kawkowo knows no boredom. Artists, free spirits and colorful birds live here. The green area begs to be better known on legs, two wheels or cross-country skiing (the latter when the green area turns into white). See what our neighbors are doing: - In the old inn, Galeria Kawkowo is hidden, where you can get to know the works of local artists (including our lace jewelry), eat an outstanding cake, listen to a concert, sign up for a handicraft workshop ... And this is just our first suggestion! - Cegielnia ART is a ceramic workshop, an ecological farm and agritourism farm in one. Check here for learning ceramics or musical stories. - The Lavender Living Museum is open during the warmer seasons, from May to October. Instead of putting up 'don't touch the exhibits' signs, the owners encourage you to tie lavender bouquets, try flower lemonade or sit on a bench overlooking a fragrant crop. It is worth coming back from here with bread with lavender and black cumin, baked on the spot. - You will reach the Węgajty Theater on bicycles. For a performance, for workshops, for meetings, for the Theater Village Festival. - However, when you find that the stop is too much, direct your steps to the New SPA. Karina and Paweł created a place for massage, sauna and bathing in a bath (i.e. a traditional Ukrainian vat). You will catch your breath here… and gain strength for the next trips. - On hotter days, you can go to the lakes. The nearest, intimate lakes are Skolity (5 km from the house), Szałstry (also 5 km) and the forest lake in Gamerki (7 km). You can also comfortably reach the large Morąg Lake with the island of cormorants by car or bike, here we recommend the pier and the sandy beach in Ramoty (13 km).
