In Dębowiec in Bielsko-Biała and in Białka Tatrzańska, ski competitions for the Reksio Cup are organized for children. Reksio, as an informal patron of our house, seems to be the best choice for us. We have a sincere and devoted love for skiing in our family, which is why we dreamed of a place where you will be happy to come back from the slopes - reminiscent of alpine huts in Switzerland and Austria called chalets. Our chalet, however, is native: finished with wood from the demolition of old houses, with custom-made furniture from branches found in the river. It is also home to a collection of historical Polish posters related to skiing, which my husband collects, and their collection is our great family pride. It was among them that there was a hand-drawn drawing with Reksio, given to us by Marian Cholerek, one of the creators of the characters from the Bielsko Animated Film Studio, whom we had the opportunity to meet.

If you come to us in winter, you will find yourself in the ski center of Poland. There are almost 40 km of well-prepared slopes waiting for you around, and a solid ski room where you can store your equipment. In the summer, excellent trails for mountain biking call out. Szczyrk Enduro Trails by Trek is a treat for all lovers of this sport. And regardless of the season, you will be welcomed by the refined interiors of a mountain house, where, apart from passion, there is room for comfort and whims. A bath in a wooden bathtub with a view of trees, feasts at the table with a mountain panorama in the background, basking on a soft sofa by a red fireplace. If you were looking for a place for a mountain holiday in the luxury edition, you just found it. Apart from the fact that it also starts with "Sz", Szczyrk has more to do with Switzerland than you might think.

We invite you to a mountain apartment with a unique atmosphere and a panoramic view of the mountains and Szczyrk stretching below. Le Chalet Skalite is part of our holiday home on Skalista Street. Although it towers above the others and it is green and quiet around, and even deer and chamois peek at us, it is enough to go down a few hundred meters to find yourself in the town.

The apartment has:
– a living room combined with a dining room, kitchen and a large library,
– 3 bedrooms:
· for 2 people (internal bathroom with a copper tub),
· for 3 people, with a double bed and a small single bed at the top (bathroom with shower next to it),
· for 2 people on the mezzanine (bathroom with a wooden bathtub),
– terrace with lounge furniture,
– a ski room for your equipment.

We are the perfect place for a family or friendly getaway for a winter break or an active summer holiday. There are ski lifts and great cycling routes nearby.

The house is large, but so far we have only finished 1 apartment for rent. In winter, we relax in our private apartment, which is also located in the building. Unless we are there, and in other seasons we are rarely here, the entire space of the plot will be at your sole disposal. So far, you will not find any special attractions in its area. In the summer you can lie in the grass and stare at the clouds, and in the winter go sledding.

Access to our house is demanding, we do not recommend trying to get there without a 4x4 car, and without snow chains in winter. As we are on site occasionally, we cannot offer you a lift from below.

In a comfortable and well-equipped kitchen you can cook everything you want. We recommend eating breakfast on the terrace with a view.

And if you are also planning a cooking holiday, don't worry - you will easily catch something downstairs in Szczyrk. At Beskidzka and Myśliwska Streets, there is a different pub every step of the way.

If you are going to Szczyrk, you probably know what we have best here. This is not a place to escape from civilization - it is for activity, mountain trips, family holidays or a bit of madness with a group of friends and getting to know the Silesian Beskids.

If you visit us in winter, you will find yourself in the ski center of Poland. It is not without reason that we built this house here, which is the most wonderful place to return to after a whole day of skiing, with cold noses. Szczyrk combines the largest number of ski slopes in Poland in one place. Almost 40 km of them are waiting for you - well prepared. In Szczyrk, we recommend the Beskid Sport Arena, Szczyrk Mountain Resort, Skrzyczne COS, Szczyrkowski Ski Resort, Solisko, and the Biały Krzyż ski slope. We have a freshly finished ski room for you to store your equipment. There are beautiful ski touring trails around. On ski tours you can go to Skrzyczne (straight from our house!) and admire the picturesque landscapes. Equipment for winter hiking can be rented at "Skitury Szczyrk" at 115 Salmopolska Street.

In the summer, you will wake up in the best place in Poland for mountain biking. Probably every fan of two wheels has heard of Szczyrk Enduro Trails by Trek. There are 13 km of specially prepared routes for the most demanding, and a whole lot of other trails for those less advanced. Even kids can try their hand at singletrack here. What's more: you don't have to take bikes, pads and helmets with you, because you can rent everything on the spot.

A little further, in Ustroń, we recommend the Czantoria cable car. For both skiers and cyclists, so mountain bikers will be in seventh heaven. You can climb the stairs to the lookout tower and admire the 360-degree panorama of the Beskids and the view of the mountain ranges of Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

We are near Bielsko-Biała and Żywiec, where you can go on a trip. Take a look at the Żywiec Ethnographic Park in Ślemień, the Żywiec Brewery museum and take a walk through the beautiful park in Żywiec. Stop by the "Stara Chałupa" Museum in Milówka, visit the cartoon film studio in Bielsko Biała and marvel at the tenement houses of the Bielsko-Biała market square. Or maybe you will be tempted by the "Stara Chałupa" Museum in Milówka or the Koniaków Lace Museum?

In the summer you sled here, and in the winter you bathe in the river below our house - it's shallow, safe and in the summer it's hard to get the kids out of it. For days of inclement weather, we have board games and books. And regardless of the day and weather, it is great to look out for deer and chamois and go on mountain expeditions into the unknown.

A few hundred meters from here, down below, you can have fun on the city playground. If the madness wasn't enough, there is also a paid, commercial square nearby: with go-karts and other goodies. A kilometer separates us from the rope park and there you can definitely give an outlet for inexhaustible energy.

In a word: Szczyrk is a good place for a trip with the youngest. They will definitely not be bored here.

We have enough internet to work from here (let us know the exact numbers soon as we are rarely on site). The place of work will be either a large table in the dining room, where you can also work in a team (it has 5 chairs and possibly 3 places on the bench) or, if you like working in a reclining position, on the sofa. There are no special desks in the rooms. Our apartment is therefore not a typical place for a work-location, but if you want to extend your vacation or have to deal with some important professional topics, it's easy to do.
