In Los Realejos in the north of Tenerife, traditionally many festivals are celebrated, almost 80 per year. Besides Carnival and Easter, which are popular throughout the whole island, there are also several unique traditions of the city, such as in May "La Invención de la Cruz", which was created by a bishop shortly after the end of the conquest of the region in 1496. Over time, the celebrations have evolved considerably: the former festive bonfires on the 3rd of the month have become large fireworks, where two streets, La Calle del Medio and La Calle del Sol compete with each other.

"Romería de San Benito Abad" is a popular yearly, short distance pilgrimage held the second Sunday of July in San Cristóbal de La Laguna in honor of St. Benedict of Nursia, the patron saint of farmers of Tenerife. Declared of National Tourist Interest, it is the most representative romeria of the Canary Islands, in which participating groups come from all corners of the archipelago. Moreover, it is the only romeria of Canarias to hold the title of "Regional" (all the Canary region). It is also considered among the most important romeria in Spain.

Our house is ideal for couples, groups, families and adventurers who want to experience the authentic essence of the island. We have wide spaces of pure comfort and rustic sensation for a maximum of eight people in total, distributed in our four rooms Aguacatero, Guayabero, Platanero and Parchita. In every room you will find towels, duvet sheets, heater, coffee and infusions, spices for cooking as well as shampoo / organic gel.

We highlight our panoramic terrace, four spacious and cozy rooms, two living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and two shared bathrooms (female and male for private use). We also have a TV room and free Wi-Fi, a reading room, a large equipped kitchen and a terrace where, in addition to cooking recipes from our garden, you can enjoy spectacular views of the sea and mountains.

We want you to enjoy our environment in the most intimate, safe and calm way. Because of that, a comprehensive anti-Covid protocol is applied to make you feel safer. We give you also the option of reserving the hostel exclusively with a bathroom and kitchen for private use, so that you can enjoy your trip with maximum security and privacy. We have the greatest gastronomic and authentic wealth of the island. Discover our “guachinches”, food and drink from the garden to the table. We can give you great recipes to prepare the vegetables and fruits from our garden in our fully-equipped kitchen. There you will find also free coffee and infusions.

For eating out we can recommend you various restaurants with authentic local food, for example the nearby Restaurante 7 islas, the Guachinche-chain, or El Taller de Seve Diaz in Puerto de la Cruz.

- Beaches: Or do you want to know the most beautiful wild beaches ? We are very close to some of the most spectacular wild beaches on the island, namely El Socorro, Castro, La Fajana and Los Roques.

If you are a fan of nature like us, then the Parque de Drago is worth a visit for you. The about 3 hectares big park houses, amongst other plants, the El Drago Milenario, the oldest and largest specimen of dragon tree in existence: it is estimated to be between 800 and 1,000 years old and one of the symbols of Tenerife.

In case you would like to visit other parts of the island, just let us know, we have recommendations for you for every geographic direction as well as for nearby cities like Puerto De la Cruz or La Orotava.

At the hostel we have children's books, DVDs and music for kids, as well as board games and puzzles. So there will be entertainment even if the weather shouldn't be apropriate for outdoor activities, or if the kids want to stay inside.

Very close, only 200 meters from our place is the biggest playground of the town in Parque Piloto.
And if your kids are old enough, they will have fun rolling, jumping and sliding in the Skate Park of Los Realejos that is also not far from our place.

Another highlight of the island with animals that we can recommend for the whole family is the Loro Parque, the largest and most diverse reserve of parrot species and subspecies in the world. It offers the Loro Show, a dolphinarium, a penguinarium and a presentation with orca whales.
