Ulążki 17 is an over 50-year-old house standing on the shore of Lake Sasek Wielki. This shore is not an exaggeration - just a few steps are enough to soak your feet in the lake or wave your legs on the pier. But be careful, this isn't made to look like a rustic house in the woods, with heated floors and a jacuzzi, lit by little lamps. It is a house from the 1970s, after several renovations and improvements, but still lacking some comforts. That's why Ulążki 17 is for you, if you are not scared by… - Heating: there is no central heating, heat is provided primarily by a fireplace and radiators in each room. Sometimes I have the opportunity to show up at home and warm up before guests arrive, sometimes I don't. Then I leave the matter of unscrewing the radiators in your hands. It takes about 30 minutes for the house to get warm. - Second-hand equipment: sofas, tables and cabinets are not the latest projects from IKEA, but mostly unwanted furniture, so I saved it. They are old and have their flaws. - Water: from a well, filtered by a treatment station, tested in a laboratory in Olsztyn, 100% safe to drink. However, along with the above inconveniences, you get the impossible smell of pine, the cries of cranes in spring and your own pier. 100 meters from the house there is a beach with a easier bottom, sometimes used by scouts (for 2 weeks of summer holidays they have a camp nearby, but they are hidden behind trees, so you can't see them, you can only hear them from time to time).

Breakfasts in bed, lunches on the terrace and dinners on the Ulążkowo pier require that everything that will facilitate their preparation should be available on site. Fridge and coffee maker? Are! Gas hob with 4 burners, microwave (e.g. for evening popcorn) and a dishwasher? Are! And a toaster, mixer, blender ...? Ha, even they are waiting for you! If, however, you get bored with home cooking, in nearby Szczytno, look for a fish fryer or the Mazuriana restaurant.

Sasek Wielki lake stretches just a minute from the house. It is 870 hectares of water, on which you can swim, lazily stroll around in a boat or kayaks (a boat and 2 kayaks are available on site for free), and in winter you can skate or cut a sea hole. Anglers also have no reason to complain - there are many impressive bream, perch and zander here. Around the house there is a forest, forest and even more woods. Take comfortable shoes, and if your soul sings the sound of gears, so do the bike. Independent Szczytno will please all those born in the saddle with a friendly stable. On lazier days, you can swing in a hammock, read books on the pier, play cards, listen to birds or stare at the sky. It is very easy to spend time here.
