Life here, like in Klusek, is rather lazy. We have here: two wooden, cozy houses with terraces that will welcome two 4-person teams of guests, a lot of greenery that soothes the senses, and finally a river that flows right next to it. Yellow water lilies grow in it, viburnum on the shore blooms already in the early spring, and staring at the rapid current clears the head of unnecessary thoughts. It happens that roe deer and deer come to the windows, a hare runs through the grass, and herons and cranes fly over our heads. In the evening it is good to gather around the fire and in the morning listen to a concert of birds and frogs. Did I mention White Lake to you? It is so clean that you can see your toes even when standing in water up to your neck. We have it all here. In Klusko, on the Skrwa Lewa River, in the Gostynin Lake District. Maybe you will visit us?
What a place! is located in the countryside, 300 m from the cleanest lake in Masovia, in the buffer zone of the Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park, in the Gostynin Lake District. We have 6,000 m² of land full of natural and slightly wild greenery, on which there are two year-round houses: Głosówka 1 and Głosówka 2.
Each of our houses stands separately, has its own area with a fireplace, guests of both houses cannot see each other.
- The Lokalówka 1 house is located deep within the plot and has direct and exclusive access to the Skrwa River, which flows in front of it. There you will find a yoga platform and deckchairs placed on the beach made of light sand.
- Near the Lokalówka 2 house we have arranged a hammock in the trees surrounded by a light garland.
The cottages are perfect for a couple or 4 friends. Each of them includes:
a bedroom with a large bed, a living room with a fold-out sofa, a kitchenette separated from the living room, a bathroom with a shower from which you can go outside, just like from any other room.
The cottages have underfloor heating and air conditioning. Each room has plenty of storage space: a chest of drawers, space for suitcases in the bedroom and a tall wardrobe with shelves in the living room.
We love the nature around us, so we do not interfere with it too much, we do not plant flowerbeds or foreign tree species, only native ones. We focus on biodiversity (we mow rarely and only a patch of land). We only have trodden paths, and there are no artificial stones in the parking area or on the access road. We also love upcycling, so in the interiors and on the premises you will find elements renovated by us (a lamp from the times of the Polish People's Republic in the Lokalówka 1 house or a platform by the river).
Our places are located in the countryside, there is a lot of peace here, but we are not in a remote area, we have neighbors.
Cooking is pleasant in our houses, we checked it ourselves. The kitchen is well equipped, you will find everything you need to prepare a meal. It has modern amenities - induction, dishwasher, tall fridge with freezer. There is a coffee corner in each house, where you can find coffee, tea, sugar and spices. We can't imagine good coffee without a coffee maker, so you can find it in one of the drawers.
For products, you can go to a local store 300 m from us, there are several of them within a radius of several kilometers. There is a table with chairs in the dining room, and you can also eat your meal on the terrace. Or have a picnic right by the river or in the trees.
In front of each house we have prepared a fireplace area with a bowl, which is also a great option for preparing food. We leave the wood for the fire next to the fireplace.
We checked local restaurants and can recommend Lucienianka, located 2 km away. However, there are more places to eat well in the area, so if you don't feel like cooking, you don't have to worry.
People come to Klusko to laze around. Spend time on simple pleasures that you don't have time for every day. Take advantage of the proximity of the river and lakes, of which there are plenty here. Catch your breath, recharge with greenery, take a break from the city.
A list of especially small pleasures we recommend:
– drinking morning coffee in a comfortable armchair on the large terrace, which you can access straight from the bedroom,
– setting up a deckchair and blanket camp by the river (guests of the Lokalówka 1 house) – we have prepared a small beach there, which keeps younger children occupied, older ones are usually drawn to the water,
– yoga on the platform or watching the water flow in the shade of a viburnum tree (guests of the Pałac 1 cottage),
– hiding among our trees and grass for a moment and listening to your own thoughts,
– swinging in one of the hammocks, each of them is a separate place of peace, although they are close to each other, you can hide in them while the rest of the people are on the terrace, they are protected by bushes and trees.
– lighting a fire at the end of the day to enjoy time together.
And this is just the beginning, we have countless opportunities for forest and water time:
– we are in the Gostynin Lake District, within a radius of 25 km we have over 100 lakes, the closest to us are: Białe Lake (0.25 km), Lucieńskie Lake (1.5 km) and Sumino Lake (2.5 km),
– around the nearest lake, Biały, which has class I cleanliness, there are several beaches (the nearest one is 800 m from us), many of them with water equipment rentals and even a beach bar (1 km from us),
– Lake Białe is also a reservoir liked by divers,
–forest bathing can be enjoyed without restrictions, and in autumn you can pick mushrooms and berries, because we are located in the buffer zone of the Gostynińsko-Włocławski Landscape Park, which covers approximately 400 km² of forests and close to the Gostynińsko-Włocławskie Forest complex, one of the largest forest complexes in Masovia,
– There are numerous routes and bicycle paths running through forests and around lakes,
– less than a kilometer from us there is the floodplain of the Skrwa River, and 3 km away there is the beginning of the Natura 2000 area Dolina Skrwy Lewej, where cranes, white and gray herons, swans, wild geese and ducks have their habitats, which can be observed through binoculars (waiting for you in the house) and take photos as much as you want,
– Less than 10 km from here is Gostynin with a restored castle surrounded by a pond, you can also take a look at the historic town hall, arcades
– in Gostynin you can eat dinner at the Bordoo pizzeria, where they bake pizza in the oven, we like it very much and sometimes we eat there,
– 10 km from us, in Nowy Dunin, there is a river port on the Vistula and a 19th-century palace and park complex with a renovated neo-Gothic castle,
– 20 km from us is Płock, where it is worth walking along the renovated boulevards of Wzgórze Tumskie on the Vistula River, visiting the Cathedral Basilica, the Masovian Museum, going to the market square and walking along Tumska Street.
I know our region well because I come from here and I will be happy to share with you my knowledge about lesser-known local attractions. I will tell you where to go during the mushroom picking season and where in the forest there is a lake covered with blooming water lilies all summer long.
What’s there for children?
Here, children enjoy a simple life: climbing trees, swimming in a lake or river, and constant contact with nature. They enjoy watching the birds, of which there are so many here that it is worth taking the atlas devoted to them and binoculars from the house and go to the observation. The little ones spend their time playing with the molds in the sand by the river. You do not have to take them with you, they are waiting for you at the house, as well as: badminton rackets, rackets with a ball, board games, paragraph games and a drawing set. We have hung a swing on one of our trees.
There are several beaches on the nearest lake to us, where you can rent pedal boats or kayaks and jump on the bomb from the pier. The nearby studs allow you to watch horses and try horse riding. And the surrounding forests are full of nature paths. One of them starts 1.5 km from us and leads to the shores of Lake Lucieński.
You can choose from three hammocks for a nap. And in the evening, make a fire together. Children have a lot of fun when they roast their own sausage, especially if they go looking for poles earlier.
What’s there for employees?
For those working remotely, we have a place in the living room at the table or on the terrace. Both here and here you will have a view of the nature surrounding the house, from the living room you will see it through a huge panoramic window. There will be a 4-person table for work, which will comfortably fit a laptop and necessary papers. Two, three and four people can work freely with it, but then it may be a bit crowded. The table is located in the living room with a kitchenette, where we have arranged a coffee and tea corner at your disposal.
Is the internet fast? For us, the criterion of speed is the ability to watch movies on Netflix from a laptop :) they run here without any problems. Occasionally there is a breakdown in the area. The Internet also works outdoors, on hammocks and, of course, on the terrace, where you can work in comfortable armchairs in spring and summer. Each house has an external socket mounted on the facade, where you can connect a laptop power supply.
