Once upon a time, the eternal trade routes crossed here and the beskidniks roamed, today at most a roe deer peeks into the windows or a deer comes to visit during the rut. At first, there was nothing here, not even an expensive one, and then, step by step, we moved the over 100-year-old Granary here, which will host seven newcomers. We live right next door, in Bocianówka. I, Bartek, will be happy to tell you about wood and show you how to make lamps yourself, and Marzena will treat you to homemade bread. However, we will give you as much space as you need, and we have plenty of it. Just like the peace that you can enjoy in a hammock or on a deckchair, or actively enjoy the walking, cycling and skiing routes in the area.
There is a panoramic view of Lake Klimkowskie, the Ropa River and the Homla range, which is best admired from the terrace or tub with hot water. In spring, black storks and lesser spotted eagles come to us, and the valley is bathed in the whiteness of blooming blackthorn. Summer is dazzling with the juicy green of Pantone and the red of wild strawberries, which taste best straight from the bush. In winter we have waist-deep snow, sometimes you have to put on chains to get to us. And autumn brings an abundance of red wine. We live here slowly and peacefully, in the rhythm of nature, with Lemko history in the background. Apparently, we have one of the most beautiful views in the Beskids, the valley bathed in fog in the morning and the burning sky at sunset. It cannot be expressed in words. Come and see for yourself.
In a forest clearing in the Low Beskids, among flowery meadows, there are two wooden cottages. One of them - Bocianówka - belongs to us, the hosts, the other - about 100-year-old Granary, we give into your hands. The cottage is built of wooden logs, can accommodate up to 7 people. We found it in the nearby area and moved it to our plot by the forest. It is ideal for a family trip, an adventure with a friend and a romantic getaway for two.
Downstairs, the heart of the house beats - the dining room with a cast iron stove Bartek, which brings warmth on winter days, a kitchenette and a bathroom. The interior design was created by Marzena, who took care of every detail and an exceptionally warm atmosphere. I, Bartek, made the lamps that decorate the interior myself. Books and magazines are waiting for you in the cottage. On one of the walls, we hung a rustic chapel made of an old log, from a cottage from 1880, designed by Piotr Jasica. We wanted every item here to have its own unique story.
The covered terrace in front of the house will treat you to an extraordinary view of the Ropa River, the beginning of Lake Klimkowskie and the Homoli range. From here, with a cup of coffee in your hands, you can watch the morning spectacles when the valley is covered in fog. And in the evening, while enjoying a different drink, admire the amazing colours of the sky at sunset.
Next to the Cottage, we have prepared a place for a bonfire and a unique, handmade hanging grill.
In the meadow near the Cottage, you will find a garden tub with a wood-fired jacuzzi and a sauna.
We recommend a relaxing bath under the stars in a forest clearing with a soothing composition of natural essential oils or brine, and a session in the sauna.
The kitchen in the cottage is cozy and well-equipped. A two-burner induction cooker, fridge, kettle, blender and all the dishes and tableware for serving meals await you. We haven't forgotten about the coffee maker. In the cold months, food can be heated on the cast iron stove. In the dining room, which will surprise you with more than one detail, there is a table with natural ash wood, made by a friendly carpenter, waiting for you.
You can also cook outdoors. We have prepared a handmade grill for you, which hangs over the fire and a hunting cauldron. You can mix it up quite a bit!
You can use our garden, full of flowers and herbs, as much as you want. Create bouquets and pick mint and oregano for salads. Nearby you can stock up on local sheep's, goat's and cow's cheeses, milk and eggs.
If you want to taste homemade bread, talk to the hostess. Many people's mouths water at the mention of it ;)
For dinner, you can go to the nearby Klimkowskie Smaki, where you can try, among other things, regional dumplings - hałuszki and home cooking. A little further, in Wysowa, there is Caffe Bistro Bar nad Potokiem (Italian dishes) and Gościnna Chata (Lemko atmosphere). If you like fish, we recommend Zajazd Pstrąg u Eda in the village of Łosie.
Our special recommendation: coffee drunk on our terrace. Especially if you happen to see the mists surrounding the valley.
Our Polana Radwanówka is a haven where you can breathe deeply, rest from the hustle and bustle of the city and revel in contact with nature. You will be enchanted by the silence and peace reigning here among the fragrant forests and meadows and beautiful Beskid landscapes. You can often see deer running across the clearing and listen to the blissful singing of birds. Here, life flows in the rhythm of nature, and each season has something good to offer.
In spring, everything comes to life, and the surrounding forest paths and mountain trails encourage walks. In summer, it is most pleasant to swing in a hammock, relax on deckchairs on the terrace and feast by the fire looking at the stars. Our area is a paradise for those who love water. We will advise you how to get to our favorite spot on the Ropa River, and on Lake Klimkowski you will find a beach and a swimming area. Autumn is a colourful feast for the eyes, a forest full of mushrooms and fruit and even more peace, which is sometimes interrupted by the roar of deer in the rut. In winter, come to us with skis and snowboards. The area offers numerous ski slopes, charming cross-country trails and over 80 km of trails for cross-country skiing. The trails run through forest paths and meadows with views of the Beskid Niski and Sądecki ranges, and if the weather is good, even the Tatras. In the area, you can go on a sleigh ride or to the ice rink. Children love the local hills, which you can slide down on sleds or, more homely, on sacks!
The nearest area is full of attractions and places where you can go to discover and see something new:
• in Uście Gorlickie there is the beginning of Lake Klimkowskie, a recreational bike trail, the Mazurówka Garden, the Klimkowskie Smaki Restaurant, the Orthodox Church of St. Paraskiewy, park and playground,
• Lake Klimkowskie (developed shore about 5 km from Chatka, currently due to drought there is little water in the reservoir) offers relaxation on the beach, the possibility of doing water sports and hiking trails,
• in Regietów (8 km from us) there is a stud farm of Hucul horses, there you can ride horses, and in winter go on a sleigh ride,
• not far away (10 km from us) we have a health resort - Wysowa-Zdrój, where there is a mineral water pump room, cross-country skiing trails, a swimming pool and SPA, and in winter an ice rink,
• Krynica Zdrój is a bit further (30 km), but it needs no introduction - the cable car to Góra Parkowa, the gondola lift to Jaworzyna Krynicka, the tower and a walk in the treetops and the pump room are the main attractions of the health resort, for children there are rope parks, swimming pools and the Toy Museum,
• on our list to visit are also: Muszyna Zdrój (45 km) with the ruins of a 14th-century castle and magical, biblical and sensory gardens; Bardejov in Slovakia (40 km) with swimming pools and an old town on the UNESCO list; and Grybów (25 km), which has a historic market square and a brewery.
And that's not all! The area is full of bike paths, hiking trails and cross-country skiing trails. For history fans, the following await: the Wooden Architecture Trail, the World War I Cemeteries Trail, the Craft Trail and the Carpathian Oil Route.
There is also a long list of local events: the Dzikie Stoły culinary picnic, the Lemko culture festival Lemkowska Watra, the Hutsul Days, the Rydza Festival, or the Innowica Theatre Meetings.
In our home, Bocianówka, we are open to implementing your most unusual ideas. Here you can organize workshops, create or learn something new. Marzena will share her bread baking secrets, and you can tinker with me! I'll help you create a lamp, table or bench. Just let us know what you have in mind in advance.
Carefree! Let's start with the interior - in the attic there is a play corner for the little ones with books, toys and board games. Our three cats - Maszka, Rysio and Panda are happy to be companions of children's games, they love to be petted, and children often take advantage of this opportunity.
Outside we have created a space full of attractions. Children can enjoy swings, a sandbox, a slide and garden toys. But above all, there is plenty of space, with grass and the garden in the leading roles. You can go for a walk in the nearby forest, pick strawberries and raspberries. And in winter, go crazy on the nearby hills, sliding down them on sleds.
Children love roasting sausages on the bonfire and splashing in the garden tub with bubbles.
In the cottage there are wooden stairs leading to the bedroom part, secured from above with a railing, but you have to watch out for them.
Let us know if you need a high chair or a potty. We will prepare it!
If you have the opportunity to work remotely, you can combine business with pleasure with us.
We have good mobile phone coverage. We do not provide internet, so you have to take care of mobile internet yourself.
