It all started with my grandfather Frank, who was blown by the wind of history after the war on a meadow in Śliwińska. Methuselah grazed sheep and cows here, and we, two sisters, experienced the most carefree vacation of our lives. We have always wanted to share the taste of these moments. Years later, we caught up with this dream and decided to do something on the Grandfather's Square. And literally, because we built four houses on almost a hectare of land, together with our husbands, on our own. It was not without mistakes, corrections and fear driven by a certain rough owl. The construction took three years, but the result are cottages full of home warmth, in which wooden thresholds are invited.
Although the surrounding beaches in Rewal, Niechorze, Pobierowo and Trzęsacz are bursting at the seams during the season, we will welcome you with endless space, idyllic landscape and local delicacies. You will get peace and quiet in the package. Come to us with the kids on vacation like with their grandparents. With chasing the wind in the field, bare feet and faces painted carelessly. We hope you won't want to leave here.
In our meadow there are four 40-meter long houses waiting for guests. Each for up to 6 people. Both adults and children sleep well in them. They are located so that their terraces provide as much privacy as possible. And in front of the terraces there are large and comfortable hammocks on stands. The fifth house on the plot belongs to us, the hosts.
Łukasz, Kinga's husband, who is an architect, made sure that the houses fit in with the architecture of the village. The façade was inspired by old barns from the beginning of the 20th century with a vertical arrangement of boards on the first floor above the brick pit. Each house has a birdhouse, because we invite all animals to visit us.
Wood dominates the interior. Colorful furniture and accessories create a cozy style and give it a homely character. The layout of the houses is the same, they are differentiated by details, details in the equipment and colors of accessories.
On the mezzanine with an original partition that gives a sense of intimacy and loves to play with light, there are two single beds (80 cm wide) that can be combined into one. A ladder on wheels leads to the mezzanine. When not in use, it can be set up vertically for more space. Downstairs, in a separate room is a bedroom with a double bed. And there is a fold-out sofa in the living room. Each house has it in a different color. In addition to the seating area, there is a kitchenette downstairs, a table with chairs and a bathroom with a shower.
It's simple with us. You will be greeted with a package of local delicacies - homemade bread of our mother Agnieszka and honey from a friendly farm Ule Miodule. You can also order eggs from Aunt Basia's happy hens. You have to take care of the rest yourself, so that you can prepare a meal in the kitchen equipped with everything necessary. And when it's ready, you can go out with it on the terrace or eat at the table in the house.
We are in a village that still has an agricultural character (as the only one in the Rewal commune) and local products are here at your fingertips. We will tell you where to go for them to local hosts.
For coffee lovers, we have an espresso machine and coffee from the Korona roastery in Szczecin.
We invite everyone who wants to experience the idyllic and simple nature of the countryside. Although everyone has their own house and terrace, our large area is shared and you can roam around without restrictions (this applies mainly to plants and pets) or choose the intimate option and swing in a hammock with your own book or a book from our chest of drawers.
And when you feel like sticking your nose out of the fence, in the immediate vicinity you can:
– Wander around the village of Śliwin with its former German farmsteads, a dairy building at the forefront, and a history dating back to antiquity (a stone chest with tools unearthed here proves that an open multicultural settlement existed in this area in Roman times).
– Go for a walk by the sea, enjoying the beauty of nature. There are two routes to the seaside - one leads through Śliwin, the other along the narrow-gauge railway tracks. The beaches in the nearest towns are crowded during the season, but 18 km from us we have our own place where you will be able to enjoy the sea almost exclusively.
– Go to the beach in Trzęsacz to see the unusual view of the ruins of a Gothic church on a cliff (built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, 3 kilometers from the sea) and quickly escape from the crowds.
– Go for a bike ride - Velo Baltica and numerous bicycle trails run through Pobierowo, Trzęsacz, Rewal and Niechorze (the Liwia Łuża Lake Trail, the Rewal Land of the Sun Trail or the Trail in the Footsteps of Architectural Monuments with a start in Trzęsacz).
– Travel to a bygone era thanks to the Seaside Narrow Gauge Railway, which stops several times every day at the beautiful, newly built station in Śliwin and moves towards Rewal and Trzęsacz, Niechorze and Pogorzelica, and once a day towards Gryfice.
And return to the plot for another portion of peace and bliss, which can be absorbed during evenings by the fire or with a glass of wine on the terrace, when the youngest ones can sleep peacefully.
What’s there for children?
The children are taken to us for a holiday in the countryside. The kind that you don't want to come home from. And when you come back, you will want to come again. With wind in my hair and bare feet. Looking for brown hats and picking berries in the forest and climbing haystacks. With walks to the sea and an evening fire.
And for bad weather or lazy afternoons, we left books and board games in our houses.
We plan to build a playground, unlike any other, but you have to wait a while longer, enjoying the idyllic space.
