In the village of Łosie, you can come across moose, because several of them live in the forest surrounding our plot. You will certainly come across a miniature house for two, a couple with a child or a duet with a dog located among Górki Radzyminskie. We hit this place by accident. We were carried away by the wheels of our bikes during one of the weekend escapes from Warsaw. Because you must know that it is less than 40 kilometers from the capital. The sight of an elongated plot of land on a hill, with a decaying 60-year-old cottage and an overgrown garden full of ants and mosquitoes, made us sigh loudly. We went straight from it to action and this is how the Łosiówka size xs and its secret property: concentration was created.
The thoughts about asaps are removed here, and the focus is on asanas and deep breaths of air permeated with the scent of pine trees. You catch a balance in a hammock or keep your balance on a swing. It sets the body in motion on forest paths and hills, by bike or in a kayak, taking advantage of the proximity of three rivers and the Zegrze Reservoir. It focuses on itself, the other person, and the dog. He enjoys relaxing on the terrace or in the gazebo overlooking the garden, where azaleas, hydrangeas, roses and vines creeps. And he spends the nights in intimate interiors, focusing on the pleasure of a blissful sleep.
Small is beautiful here, come and see for yourself.
Only 40 km from the center of Warsaw is the village of Łosie. It is there, in the middle of the forest, that we have built our tiny house for two. It stands among tall pines, in the area of Górki Radniczego.
This is now in detail:
- our tiny house is 28 m² with a terrace (inside are 22 m²),
- stands on a fenced plot of 2000 m² and climbs upwards.
The area is green and we are trying to restore the garden to its former splendor.
The bright, cozy interior hides:
- a living room connected with a kitchenette, in this space there is also a small table with chairs and a small fold-out sofa that will work as a place to sleep for a child,
- a separate bedroom with a double bed, two wardrobes and a large window that leads to the garden,
- a bathroom with a shower, which also allows you to go outside.
In front of the house there is a terrace with a small table, a pair of fold-out chairs and a hammock-swing.
The cottage has air conditioning with a heating function, which makes it all year round.
There is also a garden pavilion with a mosquito net and garden furniture on the plot. Right next to it there is a barbecue area. We have hung a hammock among the trees on the plot.
We are not alone here. Next to us there are other recreational plots with cottages, most of them are holiday plots, but one of the neighbors lives here permanently. We do not disturb our peace and quiet, but if you dream of escaping to a wilderness, this is not the right address.
You cook on your own with a small kitchenette at your disposal. However, it has everything necessary to prepare meals. You can also go outside with cooking and use the grill, and enjoy your food in the garden pavilion overlooking the greenery. Its fabric walls can be folded out and closed. A closed space will be created, separating you from insects thanks to mosquito nets and protecting you against gusts of wind.
Those who wish to leave the city for a weekend, a few days, a week or more come here. In Łosiówka, you can relax surrounded by nature, breathing fully and inhaling through the pine forest. Is this a space for boredom, you ask? We will answer that yes. One is perfectly bored here, and boredom takes many forms. It starts with a morning meditation or yoga session among the trees, turns into a morning nap in a hammock, afternoon reading of long-term books, and ends with shared evenings on the terrace. You can also be bored here quite actively, because the area is conducive to various forms of setting the body in motion.
We have the Rzoła, Narew, Bug and Zalew Zegrzyński rivers here. A 10-minute walk separates us from the branching of the rivers, where you must go to the sunset. You can also go east. You can walk along the shores, ride bicycles, fish and sunbathe. There is a wild beach in Arciechów (18 km from us), situated on a flood embankment. It is very wide and full of sand. At Zegrze, there are numerous beaches with organized infrastructure (the best known is Rewita Rynia), there is even a beach bar.
The immediate vicinity is very walking distance, leaving the plot just a few steps to find yourself in a pine forest. There are plenty of paths, charming clearings and interesting undulating terrain. It is not without reason that the green area surrounding us has been called Radzyminskie Górki. Both people and dogs have a lot of fun from these hills. The surrounding forest is full of mushrooms in the season.
The most frequently recommended canoeing route runs along the Kuligów - Arciechów section. It runs down the Bug and the last 3 km on the Narew River, which is part of the Lagoon. The route is 12 km long and the trip takes about 3-4 hours. The trip ends at the mouth of Rządza, the route can be extended by influencing the waters of the lagoon.
For pet lovers, there are horses and alpacas in the area. The Stajnia Pod Zegarem equestrian center is located 6 km from the chalet. You can practice there or try horse riding for the first time. And 8 km from us there is an Alpaca Cudaki kennel, where you can go to meet these fluffy animals, but you need to make an appointment in advance.
In Kuligów on the Bug river, you can visit a small but unusual open-air museum (8 km from us), the owner of which has been collecting everything characteristic of Mazovia and Podlasie from the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century for over two decades. In a rather small space there are: a small manor house, a country cottage, a blacksmith's shop, a coach house, a cowshed, a turnery, a granary and a barn. Scenes from the films Jasminum and Pornografia were shot here, and the exhibits collected by Wojciech Urmanowski also appeared in Zemsta. It is worth going here especially when there are culinary workshops or a fair of traditional products.
History lovers can drop by Fort Beniaminów, built by the Russians before World War I, as a fort connecting the Zegrze Fortress with the Warsaw Fortress. It is the only one of the five that has survived to this day. Its construction was never completed. You can go there through underground passages and see the preserved barracks and shelters.
Radzymin, 5 km away from us, is, as you probably remember from history, a city of miracles on the Vistula River. In the 18th century, it was owned by Duchess Eleonora Czartoryska, to whom it owes the palace and park complex and a brick church. Today, you can visit the only preserved fragment - the Czartoryska Park with the gardener's house, in which there is a restaurant and an art gallery. It is a space rich in cultural events, it is worth checking their calendar. From Radzymin, you can go on a catamaran cruise on the lagoon (during the holidays) and take part in quests and field games (details on the city website).
And in the evenings, we recommend you immerse yourself in the silence of the garden in one of the places: a hammock-swing or folding chairs on the terrace, in a hammock or in a garden pavilion.
