In the village of Widna Góra, almost everyone is a family, and Kashubian Pole is surrounded by lands that have been passing from hand to hand for generations. So when a man comes here, he almost instantly becomes part of a family. A fragrant cake baked by Mariola is waiting for him to welcome him, and the kids naturally join the local pack, chasing around the pasture and watching the cows. And you leave here a bit with the feeling that you were on vacation with relatives.
Have you heard the legend why it is so good in Kashubia? It says here that when God created Poland, a group of patient angels waited in the queue for landscapes. The Angel from Kashubia was quite a stranger and when it was his turn, there were only leftovers at the bottom of the bag. So he got some lakes, some mountains, some sea. All in all, it turned out not too bad. And you will also come out quite well - in a cozy cottage on a large plot, 600 m from the lake, you will turn on the reset and you will simply be there. A little over the water, a little in the forest, a little with each other. Come to the field.
Come for Kashubian relaxation to the houses, which are only 600 meters from the clean, intimate Gowidlińskie Lake. The plot is 1500 m² and the bungalows here are 2: Rye and Wheat. They stand approx. 20 m from each other - they are separated by small trees. They are located in such a way that strangers cannot see each other. But it cannot be denied that they are close to each other. And it may happen that you share the plot with other people at the same time.
Each of the houses has:
- 35 m²,
- 1 lockable bedroom with a hotel bed (can be separated into 2 single beds),
- 1 room behind the curtain, where you sleep on a fold-out sofa,
- terrace of 30 m²,
- underfloor heating and air conditioning,
- efficient (for the Kashubian countryside) wifi - you can work from here, e.g. at the table.
Our Kashubian Field was indeed a field once. All the fields around belong to one family. But the place where the houses stand today was the least fertile of all, so the family decided to sell them. That is why we say today that whoever enters this plot becomes part of the family. A traditional farm is run by our friend Mariola, who will take care of you and whom you can always ask for help.
I assume that the most important thing is comfort. Therefore, despite the fact that the kitchens in the houses are small, they do not lack anything. There is a dishwasher, a coffee maker, and a microwave.
Kaszubskie Pole will welcome you with a fresh cake baked by Mariola. And if you want to buy local delicacies from the farm, just talk to her. He will have eggs, baked goods, preserves and cucumbers for you.
In autumn, there are many mushrooms on our plot and in the surrounding forests. We say that in the morning it is enough to go outside the cottage and collect a handful straight to the scrambled eggs - we hope you will enjoy!
We still have a completely unspoiled Kashubia here. In recent years, this region has become very popular, but tourism has not yet reached Widna Góra. It's a village where everyone knows each other. And rural attractions await you here. One comes here for a small number of them.
The highlight of the program is Lake Gowidlińskie, to which you have a mushroom throw from the plot. It is not one of the most popular Kashubian lakes, so you can enjoy relative privacy and an intimate atmosphere.
What can you do here:
- take advantage of the proximity of the lake: sunbathe (it is 7 minutes to the wild beach), swim on a SUP (lake bays are perfect for this!), Fishing,
- go canoeing - the rental is located in Gowidlin, 2.5 km from us,
- make an evening barbecue on the plot - each house has a separate hearth,
- read books (each house has a small library),
- doing yoga on the terrace,
- go for walks, e.g. on a nice road to Gowidlin, 2.5 km along the lake, or from Gowidlin to Borek, and then through farmland to Podjazy,
- go on a trip along the trail of Kashubian chapels from before WWII - we recommend the route from Gowidlin through Amalka to Mściszewice, approx. 5 km along dirt roads, an ideal distance for a short bicycle trip,
- in winter, use the slope in Amalka - it is perfect for learning to snowboard,
- ride a bike - our area is perfect for this, gentle roads, through fields, on hills, you can ride the surrounding villages or go to one of the numerous lakes nearby,
- visit Kamienne Kręgi in Węsiory, a graveyard of Goths who once inhabited this area and buried the dead there from the 1st to 3rd century AD; in the middle of the nature reserve there are about 140 mysterious graves, and the boulders are overgrown with over 86 species of lichens,
- go to the Museum of Kashubian Ceramics Necel in Chmielno, and there: visit the exhibition about the Necel family producing ceramics, learn the secrets of pottery work and create your own vessel.
What’s there for children?
All the kids on board! We don't have stick miracles for them, but we do have a real village: one with geese, cows and chickens to pick eggs from. The nearby hosts are very open-minded and will be happy to show this and that to curious kids. In addition, there are many children in the surrounding houses. For example, if you only have one child, you can safely send her to play at Mariola's farm, where there will also be other kids.
