When a person likes to travel, and is easily delighted and changes in life come easily to him, he should be careful. For me it was like this: an accidental drive through an unfamiliar village resulted in the sale of an apartment in a tenement house and the purchase of a bomb crater with three ruins of buildings. And as it happens with me, everything happened without any plan. Then, after only 1.5 years of renovation, getting moles out of the floor and bricks, Villa Kamionka was reborn - a space created with the heart, but without omitting the head. The space, let us add, was created on the site of a former sand opencast mine. On less than a hectare, we have almost several geographical lands here: there are mountains, valleys, a forest, and even a mini-lake. And all this in only 30 minutes. from Warsaw.

This is a place for those who like life. Those whose eyes light up when they hear the slogan: summer dinner by candlelight and go to sleep only when the last laughter on the terrace dies down. For lovers of art, color and good architecture. Moviegoers who like to lie down on a soft sofa and watch one of Sorrentino's films for the umpteenth time. For friends, workshop group, close families. For scuba divers, because there is DeepSpot, Europe's deepest diving pool, nearby, and I've hosted several such teams here. For deep conversations over wine and thinking about nothing in a hammock. A short drive from the capital, you are in a sanctuary where there is only one rule: enjoyment. So, pleasure.

Villa Kamionka is partly a mad architect's dream, partly what was salvaged from the brick ruins standing on the plot. This resulted in a place that delights the eye, ear, and soul. It consists of three buildings with a total area of 260 m²: the Large House (maximum 9 people), the Small House (maximum 6 people), and the Mini House (5 people).

One-day rentals are available between Tuesdays and Thursdays.

For up to 15 people, you rent the LARGE and SMALL Houses. For more than 15 people (up to 20 people), you rent all THREE Houses.

WE HAVE:

- a shared indoor and covered patio area that can seat 14 people at a time, or 20-26 people when four tables are joined together.

THE BIG HOUSE is 135 m², with 4 bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms (1 double bedroom with a double bed and a single sofa bed, 2 bedrooms with a double bed, and 1 bedroom with a single bed), a 90 m² living room, and a large kitchen with an island.

THE SMALL HOUSE is 40 m², with a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom, a bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom, and a small living room with a fold-out sofa bed.

THE MINI HOUSE is 36 m² and consists of an open-plan space with a mezzanine and a bathroom (bathtub and shower). On the lower level, there's a double bed, a sofa bed, and on the mezzanine, a double mattress.

Both the large and small houses have underfloor heating, keeping them warm and cozy in the winter.
The mini house is heated as standard (radiators).

The wooded plot has a forest-like feel, with terraces, a small lake, and a 60-square-meter covered shelter. There's also a fireplace and a fire pit. There are two outdoor summer kitchens and areas for sitting, lounging, and rocking. Privacy is ensured by the lack of immediate neighbors.

I hope you love cooking, because the kitchens at Villa Kamionki are made for creating wonders. But that doesn't mean you have to worry about where to enjoy them! The large, 14-seater dining table has seen many candlelit feasts and will see many more. On warm days, I suggest using one of the two summer kitchens, which have their own unique atmosphere. There are even more possibilities – a large wooden table awaits you on the terrace, with a grill right next to it.

For those who don't cook, I assure you – you'll easily find something delicious nearby. In 15 minutes, you'll reach Apretura in Żyrardów, where you'll find not only delicious food, but also a historic 19th-century factory building. For a more traditional dinner, head to the palace dining room at Radziejowice Palace. After dinner, you can burn off some calories with a stroll through the palace park.

Staying at Villa Kamionka is a pleasure in itself, especially when you end up here in good company. At your disposal is the entire area of an unusual, forest plot, which charmed me with its topography. The house with a terrace is suspended 12 m above the place I like to call the “navel of the world”. Below, there is a pond, and next to it a wooden platform with poufs for relaxation.

In the evenings, you can organize film screenings at home. On site, you will find Hi-Fi equipment with Bluetooth, a DVD player and a projector with HDMI input, and you can comfortably stretch out on the huge sofa during the screening.

When you get tired of lazing around and throwing feasts on the terrace, you can get some exercise. There will be badminton equipment waiting for you, and on the veranda a ping-pong table, where you will probably play more than one game in the sun. 4 km from here is Deepspot, the deepest diving pool in Europe (!). It is 45 m deep. In Mszczonów there is also a water park with thermal waters Termy Mszczonów, and 7.5 km from here is Suntago with a sauna and many attractions for children. Half an hour separates you from the Bolimów Landscape Park. Few people know that in the very centre of Poland there is a wild area of the Bolimów Forest with marshy meadows, beaver habitats, a reserve of the winding Rawka River, which you can go rafting down, and numerous monuments: palaces, manor houses, romantic parks and churches. There are 23 tourist trails leading through the park, leading through the reserves "Puszcza Mariańska" or "Siwica". On the way you can meet otters, storks, kingfishers and even a moose.

In 15 minutes you will reach the post-industrial Żyrardów, full of monuments from the 19th and early 20th centuries. On site you can admire the impressive former spinning mill from 1833 or Żyrardów's main church, Our Lady of Consolation, with Art Nouveau stained glass windows and an impressive chandelier. Over 3 million bricks were used to build it!

I don't deny anyone the opportunity to come with children, but bear in mind that the terrain isn't the easiest: right below the terrace there's a steep slope, and at the bottom of the allotment bomb crater - a pond. So it's best to go here with slightly older children or with complete toddlers.

The internet is blazing fast, and there's more than enough space to work in a variety of configurations and positions. Those needing to focus can find a secluded corner at the desk in one of the bedrooms. Teams looking for a brainstorming space can settle in at one of the large tables—in the dining room or on the patio. Hedonistic workers, on the other hand, can sprawl out on a pouffe by the pond and recline while checking off tasks from their to-do lists.
