There is something that connects Napoleon Bonaparte and the four houses that we built in Słaszczewo. Bee. We wouldn't have found out if it weren't for Grandpa Roman, who emigrated to France years ago with Grandma Danka. During a holiday trip, he bought his first porcelain insect figurine. It then turned out that the emperor had chosen their image to decorate his insignia. Bees decorated the emperor's silks, robes and even the throne. And those from our grandfather were hung in four of our houses, which resemble beehives in their shape. They are surrounded by meadows and fields frequented by storks. In addition to the cozy interior, you will also find a jar of honey from the family apiary, which Mateusz runs together with his father, Jarek. We fully share Napoleon's sympathy for bees and the French's love for honey, which continues to this day.
Our seaside village does not follow holiday trends. Even in the hottest moment of the season, it boasts peace and quiet and a wide beach without a forest of windbreaks. But with sand, which - keeping in mind the sweet references - most resembles powdered sugar. To immerse your feet in it, lay your body on it or build the biggest castle out of it, you need to go for an hour's walk, partly through the pine forest. However, the dessert is worth the effort and is usually enjoyed for many hours. And after returning to our settlement, you can sit together on the terrace, have a family cuddle session, jump into the jacuzzi, warm up in the sauna or read by the fireplace. We invite you in pairs, families and, of course, with pets.
Although we have four houses, we arranged them on a 2,000-meter plot so that each terrace offers a view of the forest island in the field, and not of the neighbors' terrace. The area in front of the fenced plot also belongs to us, so we are sure that in the future nothing will disturb the view of the idyllic landscape.
There are two houses at the front and two at the back. There is a 10-meter distance between each of them.
Each of the four houses has:
– 70 m²,
– two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed (160x200 cm), the other with two single beds (90x200 cm),
– two bathrooms, a larger one upstairs with a shower, a smaller one downstairs
– kitchen connected to the dining room and living room,
– modern TV with access to various applications,
– storage room under the stairs with deckchairs, a screen, additional chairs and wood for the fireplace, a highchair for feeding the baby, we can also put a washing machine there,
– terrace with table and chairs.
Two of the houses have hanging armchairs on the terraces.
Each room can accommodate up to 6 people, two of whom will sleep on the fold-out sofa in the living room. Inside, there is a goat waiting for guests to make cool evenings more pleasant.
The differences are in colors: the houses in the first line have mustard sofas and green kitchens, those in the second line have blue kitchens and pink sofas. The tiles in the bathroom and the bed headboards in the bedrooms are different. There are also various coffee tables, tables (round or rectangular) and chairs. The layout, equipment and other furniture are the same.
The plot is surrounded by fields and meadows. Our neighbors have wooden houses where they sometimes come on weekends.
Wifi works flawlessly throughout the entire fenced area. Pets are welcome here.
The kitchenettes in our houses differ in the color of the cabinets - two have blue furniture and two are green. We don't know if colors translate into willingness to cook, but we've equipped all four kitchens equally well to make the process smooth and enjoyable.
You can choose a table inside or on the terrace to eat your meal. There is a barbecue in front of each cottage.
Below is a list of local spots that feed well. There are plenty of them in the area.
Your stay with us will provide you with contact with nature and the idyllic landscape of Słajszewo, a very small village where just over 100 people live every day. We are on its outskirts. We have a view of the meadows and a field with a forest island on it. Storks also often visit during the season. In such surroundings and in a cozy, spacious interior you can relax and breathe.
You are free to:
– read books on a deckchair,
– warm up in the jacuzzi or sauna,
– play board games,
– spend time on the terrace and enjoy the moments together,
– relax by the fireplace in the evenings.
- use of the sauna included in the price of the stay
-Jacuzzi from May to October included in the price of the stay, from November to April the session is at an additional cost
What else?
We are about 4 km away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Poland, with sand resembling powdered sugar. You walk through the village and the last 1.5 kilometers through a pine forest. The good stuff is worth waiting for, and the view makes up for the less than an hour's walk. During the season, electric buses go to the beach, you can also get there by bike, which we highly recommend. If you don't take your own bikes, no worries, there is a rental shop in the village.
Speaking of two wheels, we must mention that the area around Słaszczewo is a paradise for bike enthusiasts. Paths hidden in the forests, routes along the sea and the EuroVelo 10 bicycle route. The entire route runs around the Baltic Sea basin and is 8,539 km long (Polish part: 588 km). You can use marked bicycle routes with varying degrees of difficulty, but many are really undemanding and child-friendly, or go wherever your eyes take you.
Quite nearby (20 km from us, you can reach it by bike or car) we have a nice natural attraction - a path through the Lubiatów dune leads with 30 signposts, allowing you to adjust the length of the route to your needs and possibilities. You will pass shelters that encourage you to stop and rest. It is worth taking some food with you and taking a break in the pine forest.
How about a sunset in the saddle? There are several stud farms in the area, some of them offer horse riding along the seashore.
The Stilo lighthouse (8 km, about half an hour's bike ride) is an off-season option, as it can be crowded there during the season. Walking from the lighthouse to the sea, you pass the ruins of a former nautophone, i.e. a foghorn, which dates back to the 1950s. It's about a kilometer from the lighthouse to the beach.
It is worth mentioning the pleasures for mushroom pickers and berry lovers. The forests are full of purple and brown gifts, and walking among the trees is pure pleasure.
The Słowiński National Park is a 35-minute drive from our cottages. This is a trip that lasts at least a few hours and is best done out of season (and if in season, we recommend starting early in the morning). In the park, you will be enchanted by the view of the largest range of moving dunes in Europe. Łącka Góra, the highest peak, is over 40 meters high and from its top presents a fantastic view of the sea and Lake Łebsko. Near Czołpin, you can visit a flooded forest - the remains of an oak and beech forest from several thousand years ago, uncovered from the sand by a storm. We don't know how long you'll be able to look at it, so it's worth visiting while it lasts! It's just over an hour away from us.
For lovers of costume films, history and horses, we recommend visiting the Ciekocinko Palace. You can dine here in a restaurant recommended by the yellow Gault & Millau guides, take a walk in the garden or go horse riding. This is one of many palaces and manors in the area.
Łeba is 25 km away by car, and there are plenty of tourist attractions, amusement parks, and interesting museums, e.g. butterfly or amber museums.
