The road that reaches us will take you to the wilderness and lead you into the timelessness. All duties, deadlines and obligations, leave in the surrounding meadow, so that they dissolve in the evening mist. Instead of TV sets, wifi and spa, we have a valley for you here, surrounded by meadows blooming with lupine and then poppies, overgrown with forests full of cock and a pond attracting local birds. Right above it, there are three of our hygge houses, designed to indulge in coziness, rest in comfort and pamper the senses with the closeness of nature. Our neighbors are a herd of deer, a pair of badgers, a fox, two cranes, one heron and a cat. Because in our settlement, which has 24 inhabitants, it is easier to spot an animal than another human.

We have several passions in life. For the love of nourishing food and fermentation, Zakwasownia was born and our restaurant in Gdańsk was established. Our two borders, Barry and Bruno, express our heart towards animals. And out of sympathy for people, a unique place was created where we would like to host you. We found them in the heart of Kashubia, between Gołub and Kościerzyna, and we fell in love so much that we gave up living in Gdańsk for him. You can relax here like never before. Maybe it is the calmness experienced by the senses, or maybe it is giving up all expectations and being in awe of what is. We have a rescue here for inspired souls who find themselves wandering aimlessly, mushrooming and herbal harvesting, and rediscovering intimacy with themselves, other people and nature. The air smells of grain and chamomile, and at night the sky is full of perseids. There is no end to delight over the simplicity of life. Check it out for yourself, we will entertain you with tenderness.

Nowa Sikorska Huta is a settlement near Sikorzyno, located in the heart of Kashubia, in the Kashubian Landscape Park. Our Sikorska Valley is situated by a pond, it is surrounded by fields, meadows and forests.

We have three houses. They stand on a small hill, thanks to which the views from their windows and terraces are delightful. It will be convenient for a couple or a family with a child, or two toddlers, who will sleep together on the couch. The space is compact, but nothing is missing in it. Houses number 1 (35 m²) and 2 (37 m²) are located at the bottom of our 1.2 hectare plot, they are separated by some 30 meters and a fence that we plant to provide even more privacy. Cottage number 2 is 2 m² more, which translates into a more spacious living room. All houses allow you to admire the space that surrounds us - the soothing green of forests and grasses, the colors of meadow flowers and the surface of the pond glistening in the sun. House number 3 (37 m²) is higher, offering the best view of the surrounding area. All the bungalows have a forest behind the back.

Each of the bungalows has a separate bedroom with a double bed and a pull-out couch in the living room. A living room with an armchair designed for reading and a round table with three chairs is connected to the kitchenette. There is a shower in the bathroom.

All houses are connected by the Scandinavian, minimalist, but cozy style of the device, a comfortable terrace with seats and a fireplace next to them. We have tested each of them personally to make sure that you will be fine here.
Underfloor heating makes the interior warm and cozy even on the coldest days, and you can come to us all year round.

You can cook for yourself, but you don't have to, because if you feel like it, you can do your shopping in our Delikatna.bio (Zakwasownia), and the whole order will be waiting for you on the day of arrival in the fridge. We close a lot of good in jars, jars and bottles, from soups, through dinner dishes, to pickles and fermented drinks. Don't worry, however, if you forget about it and you feel like trying our plant-based, organic cuisine. During your stay, I can come to you with the ordered products.

Beetroot sourdough and kombucha await you in the fridge, as well as reading about their beneficial effects on the body. Maybe drinking fermented drinks in the morning will get into your blood and you will start your sourdough adventure here? If for some reason you don't like beets, let us know - we'll leave you cabbage sourdough.

What else can you count on? For chicken harvest. There are plenty of them in the forest at the back of the houses. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary, there are coffee makers (coffee from the Hard Beans roastery is waiting for you) and herbs for infusions collected by us. A little cheat sheet: helichrysum regenerates the liver, ground elder gently calms down, and St. John's wort is good for sleep. Don't be surprised by the sight of a scooter passing by. This is our neighbor Agnieszka, who delivers her rye sourdough bread around the area.

You can treat yourself to a delicious hot apple pie and tea or coffee in the tea room of the nearby Wybickich Manor. You can get there in about 20 minutes on foot.

Consider that the nearest shop in Gołubie is 4 kilometers away.

We are giving you an asylum to which you escape from urban excitement. Here you come primarily for peace, a sight that you never get enough of, wandering aimlessly through Kashubian meadows, forests and hills and reading books that do not have enough time in the busy reality.

You can completely cut off with us. Especially in winter, because when the area is covered with snow, it is difficult to get here without a four-wheel drive. We found out about it during construction and we have a car that will take you to the houses, regardless of the conditions. Each of the seasons is delightful here. So much for us that we abandoned our apartment in Gdańsk for Stara Sikorska Huta, a colony of the village of Sikorzyno, where a little over 20 people live permanently.

We indulge in little pleasures here:
- walks in search of mushrooms in the nearby forests and herbs in the nearby meadows on which the yarrow, mallow, St. John's wort, Helichrysum, tansy grow,
- watching sunrises and sunsets,
- endless walks with our borders,
- visiting the valley of evening mists with mists, which are comparable to those in the Bieszczady Mountains,
- watching our neighbors: a herd of deer, a fox, two cranes, one heron, a pair of badgers, lots of wagtails, as well as swans and ducks that take a bath in the pond in the morning,
- taking advantage of the proximity of lakes, which are separated from us by a half-hour walk,
- enjoying coffee from the roaster and herbal infusions on the terrace, which we do even in winter, when dressed in jackets and wrapped in sleeping bags, we sip hot drinks, watching the cranes return in the spring.

In our wilderness and in timelessness, you can, although you do not have to (because it is best to abandon all expectations and accept everything as it is) do more:

- Use the space for many kilometers of walks in the wild and unaddressed part of Kashubia.

- Admire the 33,202 hectares of the Kashubian Landscape Park, including the Ostrzycki Las nature reserve with an area of just over 60 hectares, where many species of orchids grow. The beauty of the reserve is best admired from the eastern shore of Lake Ostrzyckie, which lies 10 km from us.

- Drop by the nearby Dąbrowskie Lake, from which we are only a 30-minute walk away. There are numerous wild descents above it, allowing you to enjoy the reservoir exclusively, and there is a well-trodden path around the lake. There are several bathing areas in the area and a rental shop with kayaks, boats and pedal boats. Lake Dabrowskie through a narrow isthmus connected with another lake - Lubowisko.

- Go to the botanical garden in Gołub (6 km), which organizes numerous walks, lectures and workshops.

- Climb 182 steps of the observation tower on the highest hill of the Szymbarskie Hills - Wieżyca. It offers a view of the Kashubian forests, hills and lakes, and in good weather you can also see the sea.

- Go to the manor of the Wybicki family (from which Józef Wybicki is born, the one from the words of Mazurek) in Sikorzyna, which after years of destruction (at the turn of the years it sheltered the steam distillery, school and shop) was restored by Leszek Zakrzewski. The walk will take you about 20 minutes and it is really worth going there. You can visit the interior filled with authentic furniture, which hide six active tiled stoves, music corners with old instruments, and even a puppet theater. The manor itself is drowning in greenery, surrounded by a park covered with 200-year-old linden trees, flowers and ivy. And there is also a plant maze and a tea room with an outstanding warm apple pie and a large selection of selected teas and coffees.

- There is an upside-down house in Szymbark, which you have probably heard about, we leave it up to you to decide whether you want to see it live.

In the houses, you will find maps and guides that reveal the secrets of the area. We live nearby and we are helpful when you need it. We like to come to you with shopping, in the company of our dogs who love to be stroked. But when all you need to do is disconnect from everything, we keep our distance.
