It used to be like this: robbers roamed Rajcza. Sebastian Bury, Martyn Portasz and Błażej Gawlik trembled these lands and the trousers of the wealthy who traversed them. In the 17th and 18th centuries, bandits of bandits were ambushed along the mountain trails of the valleys and were looking for easy prey. It was awe-inspiring. Some time later, in the 19th century, it was possible to travel from Rajcza to Vienna. Along the villages located in the Soła valley, a railway line was built in 1883-1884, connecting Galicia with the capital of Austria-Hungary. Mieczysław Orłowicz, a famous touring expert and author of over a hundred tourist guides, admitted that Rajcza was an important tourist station.

Today it is like this: it is no longer possible to travel directly to Vienna from here by train and brigands are not found here either. However, those who are looking for a good starting point for mountain trails, especially those without crowds, have certainly heard of Rajcza. We were quite enchanted by its sleepy atmosphere and we bought a plot of land in the quietest part of the village called Nickulina. Down below, a stream flows lazily and you can get to us only by crossing this stream. Don't worry - as long as your car doesn't have low suspension, you'll be fine. And if you are not to give, we might as well pick you up from below. No matter how, it's important that you get there. In the middle of the forest, with a terrace facing the surrounding hills, there is a house where complete silence will greet you. You will have a hectare of space for yourself, a bathing pond, a piece of forest. Unless you decide otherwise, nothing will happen here. Well, maybe only sometimes deer will look at you.

Sarnówka is a one-story house standing on a mountain plot in the middle of the forest in Rajcza. We are isolated - to get to us you have to cross a stream, through the forest and a bit further. After completing this route, you will see a plot of 1 ha with its own swimming pond.

The house has 1 residential level, where there are:
– kitchen with dining room and living room (sofa bed for 2 people),
– 3 bedrooms:
· 1 with a large bed for 2 people.
· 1 with a sofa bed for 2 people.
· 1 with a bunk bed for 2 people. (just right for kids),
- bathroom with shower,
– covered terrace with garden furniture.

In the basement we have created a mini-gym and a bicycle room.

Pets are welcome here, but we have to watch out for runaway dogs together. If you know that your friend has such tendencies, a better place will be a better choice. The plot is located in the forest and is fenced only with a net - we would not like to endanger the surrounding animals.

At your disposal is a well-equipped kitchen, where you will give free rein to your culinary creativity. However, if you run out of it, you can go for a good pizza or the nearby pizzeria Tre Monti, where the food is interesting and varied.

The nearest shop is about 15 minutes away. walk from here.

In Rajcza we also have an excellent cheese factory - a cooperative where local producers sell their products. There you can buy fresh cottage cheese, bryndza, bundz and even French type cheeses: Charollais and Faisselle.

With us you can:
– you can swim in a natural swimming pond,
– read books on deck chairs in the grass or on a swing,
– eat breakfast on the terrace overlooking the mountains,
– play a game of board games in the evenings,
– exercise in the mini gym in the basement (table football will be added soon).

In the vicinity you can:
– go for walks in the nearby meadows,
– go down to the stream (located on our plot) and spend time by the water,
– use the sports infrastructure in Rajcza: play basketball or volleyball on the pitches, play tennis (you just need to book them in advance by phone),
– go on a sleigh ride in winter – our neighbors can organize it if you wish.

In the area you can:
– go cycling: we have great routes here, both easy and more demanding, e.g. along the Soła River valley – 17.5 km from Rajcza through Milówka and Cisiec to Węgierska Górka; route to Hala Boracza (53 km); Rajcza – Orawskie Lake – Żywiec (87 km); Milówka-Nieledwia-Rajcza-Milówka loop (26.3 km) and many others,
– hit the trail:
· to Hala Rysianka,
· to Hala Boracza (with a stop for delicious blueberry cakes, for which the local shelter is famous) and through Polana Cukiernica to Hala Redykalna,
· to Hala Lipowska,
· for Wielka Racza,
· to Zapolanka,
· to Rycerzowa,
– skiing in winter,
– see the Habsburg palace from 1833 at ul. Ujsolska in Rajcza surrounded by a historic park and gardens.

Where to go on a trip:
– to Milówka (6 km from here) – visit the “Stara Chałupa” museum located in a cottage from 1739: here you can see the historical equipment of the mountain chalet, as well as take part in workshops, e.g. feather extraction, fabric production or bread baking,
– to Koniaków (18 km from here) – which, as you know, is the heart of Polish lace making; in Koniaków, it is worth visiting the Koniaków Lace Center, with the Memorial Room of Maria Gwarek, the famous lace maker who started the tradition, and the Shepherd Center, a museum of regional products - you can visit a shepherd's hut and a farmhouse, take part in workshops on sheep grazing or wool processing,
– to Żywiec (25 km from here), and there visit the Żywiecki Brewery, the Old Castle, the Żywiec Museum and the Żywiecki Ethnographic Park.

With us, kids will be able to have fun, because the plot is large, fenced, there is a forest on its territory, and there are a few steps to the stream. If anyone would like to sleep in the open air or set up their own camp at the other end of the plot - we have a tent for daredevils. You just have to remember that there is a pond on the plot and you will have to take care of the safety of children.

In one of the bedrooms there is a bunk bed, so if your child has always dreamed of one, then here he can finally try sleeping on the upper floor.

In Rajcza, there is the Rajska Dolina stud farm, where you can arrange horse riding lessons. In winter, we can also organize a sleigh ride with the help of our neighbors - let us know if you are interested.

We have great fiber optic internet here, so we invite you for laid-back jobs. The right proportion: 40% work, 60% vacation. This is because the house was not created for work, but with a laptop you can find yourself on the sofa, on the terrace (there is also the Internet) or at the kitchen table. The table is for 7 people - in case you need teamwork.
