Lavender will welcome you with a garden full of colors that change with the seasons, a glazed veranda where I will serve you meals based on the gifts of the orchard, vegetable garden and local products, and the joyful wagging of the tail of the dog's guardian of this place - Rudi. You will be welcomed by a wooden house with three rooms on the first floor, built over three decades ago in the Mazovian countryside by highlanders.
It is a haven full of kindness, open to long conversations, shared silence and lavender scent. You can not only smell purple flowers, but also get to know them better during the workshops that I will organize for you. I can talk about the extraordinary properties of lavender for hours, you will have to hold me back. He relaxes here appreciating the charms of a cozy interior, enjoying the view of purple bushes dancing in the wind (and this view will calm the most restless thoughts) and enjoying a bath in a tub with a glass of wine from a local vineyard.
Everyone feels good here. Come and feel the purple magic of this place, I invite you from my heart.
Lawendowo is my family home, built by highlanders, which has been standing in the Mazovian countryside for over 3 decades. It is surrounded by purple lavender swaying in the wind, but that is not all, because on less than a hectare of land there is also a garden full of flowers, fruit trees and shrubs, an orchard and a vegetable garden. And a field, but it is currently fallow. I live here with my dog Rudi and three cats as black as raspberries from the garden: Kajtek, Kitunia and Antek.
When you come to Pawłowice, we will share the house fairly - half and half. For you there will be the top with views, and I will manage Lawendowo downstairs. Upstairs, there are three guest rooms, which can accommodate 6 people.
A slightly creaky staircase will lead you to:
- Pelargonia - the largest of the rooms, which can accommodate 3 people, two will sleep in a double bed, one on an extra bed. The room also has comfortable, checkered armchairs, a coffee table and a rocking chair. Room with air conditioning,
- Pewonia - medium room for 2 people, with a bookcase, small desk, 2 tables, chairs and armchairs,
- Chabra - the smallest of the rooms, where there is a sofa bed (1.1 m wide), desk with chair, armchair and a table. Ideal place for one person who wants to work a little.
There is a separate entrance to the first floor through the veranda. The bathroom is shared. Guests have access to a fridge, kettle, coffee, tea and other herbs.
There are no TVs here, but there is fast internet, fiber optics. You can quickly send a photo or video of a lavender field at sunset, a cat romping in the orchard or a selfie from a tub in the garden.
The glass-covered veranda, where I serve breakfast, is a common part of the house. There is also an open terrace with armchairs overlooking the garden. And in the garden, under a spreading apricot tree, there is a tub and a two-person swing with Brazilian armchairs.
The house is on a slight rise, 100 meters from the road, the noise of which is not heard here. Neighbors are on both sides, but you will be separated from them by greenery. At the back of the house there are no buildings, there is an orchard with apples and a garden with flowers, raspberries (including black ones), blueberries, blackberries, dogwood, plum and pear. And a field with a thousand lavender bushes planted in 10 rows.
In Lawendów I will feed you and I will do it well. There are no exceptions to this rule. Here you will eat meals composed of local products, mostly from our garden and vegetable garden. It will be fresh, healthy, delicious and filling. Breakfast is included in the accommodation price and can be traditional or vegetarian. The table often includes: oatmeal with fresh seasonal fruit or dried fruit when the season is over, scrambled eggs made from happy hens, my preserves, cheese, cottage cheese and cold cuts from a local producer, as well as pâtés, for example zucchini. Plus bread from a local bakery and often cake.
I serve meals on the veranda. It is a large glass space with a view of the garden. You must know that evenings are special here. Time then slows down and the food tastes like never before. In Lawendów, slow food is a natural state.
If you want to go on a trip, I will tell you where there are good meals in the area.
The rule here is that in Lawendów we do not get bored, but we relax. And true relaxation is an art. Here, you can practice it in many ways:
- in a tub overlooking a lavender field, with a glass of local wine in your hand,
- in a hammock with a book, maybe one that has been waiting to be finished for months or a completely new one from our library,
- while snacking on fruit from our garden and orchard, blueberries, raspberries, black raspberries, pears, apples, blackberries, plums and cherries await you,
- in the garden, stroking the dog Rudi or one of the cats,
- on the veranda, looking at the horizon drowning in purple,
- weave a wreath together as a souvenir, make healing lavender water.
And when you feel like visiting the area, I recommend:
- the local vineyard Skarpa Wiślana, run by Michał; wine tasting by prior arrangement,
– Krzemionki (25 km), a complex of prehistoric striped flint mines from the Neolithic and early Bronze Age, along which there is a 1.5-kilometer tourist route, partly underground, presenting a unique post-mining landscape from over 5,000 years ago,
– The Vistula River, which flows nearby, and the even closer Kamienna River, which flows into the Vistula 5 km from us, you can go on a kayaking trip and from Kamienna to the Vistula,
– Kazimierz Dolny (40 km) with galleries, festivals and streets that you can walk for hours,
– Sandomierz (50 km), the world capital of striped flint, where you can visit dungeons, go on a boat cruise and taste royal cheesecake,
– Ćmielów (30 km) with the Living Museum of Porcelain, where you can take part in take part in workshops and drink the most expensive coffee in the world – kopi luwak, at the Leżała Kotka café,
– Solec nad Wisłą (8.5 km) and walk on the bridge connecting the two banks of the Vistula and two provinces: Mazowieckie and Lublin, and take a look at the ruins of the castle built by Casimir the Great,
– Opatów (45 km) with picturesque streets, beautiful monuments and an underground tourist route.
And in the evening, you will revel in the view of the sunset, when the orange of the sky mixes with the purple of lavender.
What’s there for children?
I want Lawendowo to be an oasis of peace, so that Guests can find respite and rest here. All Guests: small, big and four-legged. Please take this to heart when planning your vacation here.
There are no special attractions for children, but natural delights, which sometimes turn out to be everything that little ones need. And so in Lawendowo, the youngest find joy in space, contact with nature and complete carefreeness, like on vacation at grandma's. They can run with the wind and catch butterflies, pet Rudi, who loves cuddling, and three cute cats, swing in a hammock and think about blue almonds.
Children will enjoy a family kayaking trip down the Kamienna River or a bike ride around the area.
Due to the steep stairs leading to the first floor, I invite families with older children.
