You will already feel the change on your way to the Ore Mountains. Meadows and forests alternate around the road, sometimes you will see a herd of cows or sheep or see a small pond as if from a fairy tale. Here, time stopped and nature got the space to go a little wild. Towns breathe history and you can breathe with them - wonderful clean mountain air. Let yourself be absorbed, soothed and uplifted.
In the village of Mikulovice, we built 3 mobile homes for you and newly renovated a BRICK HOUSE from 1930. We created two great apartments with a unique interior in them. But we left the exterior as it was. Plaster weathered over the years acts as mimicry in the surrounding nature, and that's how it should be. We want to merge with nature and connect with it. (Not only) that's what Slow Travel is all about.
The nearest town is a few minutes away, bike paths and cross-country trails are within sight, and the ski slope is just a stone's throw away. And the silence... Come and try to just be for a change.
2 spacious apartments with an original design interior await you in an inconspicuous weathered brick house in the middle of beautiful Czech nature. The apartments are equipped with kitchen facilities with a dining table, which is connected to the living area. Here you can relax on the sofa bed and light a fire in the fireplace. Even the bedroom with a comfortable double bed connects to the open space, because it is simply better to rest there.
The only thing that remains behind the door is the bathroom with the toilet. Few accommodations boast bathrooms, but when you see ours, you'll understand why we're so proud of them.
Marta and Eda's apartment (on the 1st floor) has a certain wildness and active energy. Take care of the power that fiery colors give you so that it lasts as long as possible. Although we will of course be happy if you come to us to recharge regularly.
Milena and Vaško's apartment (on the ground floor) is the complete opposite. It brings sunshine, peace and harmony into every day. The interior in pastel tones has a beneficial effect on the tired human psyche, and elements in golden tones add the necessary sparkle and optimism.
So which energy are you lacking? Do you need to recharge your batteries or calm down and meditate?
In terms of food and drink, we focused mainly on ensuring that you have a sufficient supply of liquids, specifically our local wines. These wines come from the Litoměřice region, and some of them are truly world-renowned. We personally select the wines for you and painstakingly test them with the help of sommeliers from nearby wineries. Each apartment has its own wine cellar. Because observing the surrounding landscape through a glass filled with a golden or ruby liquid takes the whole experience to a new level.
In the excellently equipped kitchen, you can conjure up whatever your heart desires. For your convenience, we have a fridge, stove and microwave. You can find classic foods in the neighboring villages, so there is no need to rush to us with war supplies. In addition, the Ore Mountains are a paradise for mushroom pickers, so if you're handy, you'll get meals included!
For those who do not consider a morning without coffee to be a full-fledged start to the day, we have great news. This is a Nespresso capsule coffee machine with selected coffee from The Miners Coffee (100% compostable capsules).
What can be done here? Well, most of all, rest! Whether you devote yourself to sports, walks or active tasting of our wine gems, the relaxation will be extremely intense.
In addition to super comfortable furniture and seating, we have one more wellness bonanza for you in the U Marta and Edy apartment: a luxurious wooden INFRA SAUNA.
We are located in the immediate vicinity of the KRUŠNOHORSKÁ MAGISTRÁLA (cyclists and cross-country skiers are probably already drooling with happiness) and the Klíny and Pyšná ski areas are also nearby.
Go on foot to the Telčské údolí with its wild nature. On its right side, relax on the giant boulders and explore the bizarre rock formations. Dip your feet in the stream, which can also be used to cool bottles of beer or wine, while you listen to the sounds of the forest.
Climb Medvědí hora with a loud hum. The name sounds scary, but the opposite is true - the mountain got its name because the last living bear in the Ore Mountains was shot there in the 18th century. At the top, you will be rewarded with a view above all views. In good weather, you can see Klínovec, Milešovka and Doupovské mountains.
A visit to the town of Hora Svaté Kateřiny is such a trip to the past. Time passes here somehow casually, and even the residents in fishnets walk across the square without rushing and with too much energy. Here you can research the mining history of the area, pray in the (mainly Baroque) church and hike to the top of the stone lookout tower. A dewy reward awaits you in the immediate vicinity at the Koliba restaurant.
Virgin nature welcomes you in the Jezerka National Reserve. Step on your toes so that you don't even bend a feeler to any of the esteemed forest dwellers, and keep the packaging from Tatranek safely closed in your backpack. If you want to dazzle your fellow vacationers, study the difference between a tower, bastion, battlement and battlement, and casually frolic at the fantastic rock formations created by the erosion of ore.
What’s there for children?
If you are wondering what you can do here with children, the answer is: everything. You can also let small children out and let them enjoy the endless meadows and hills of the Ore Mountains. For teenagers who simply don't like nature anymore, we have a TV in every apartment, so we don't have to worry about any disgruntled chatter there either.
You will have a wonderful time at Lesná, where a beautiful wooden children's playground has been built. In the local arboretum, you will find 65 tree species with labels, so you can educate yourself and enjoy the bog model and geopark.
