We look down on Rogalik and Rogalik, although the nearest bakery is several kilometers away. Don't be fooled by these nice gluten names, our baked goods are blue, wet and deep. The croissant has its own pier, it is just a 5-minute walk from the terrace and nobody knows about it except us. There are croissants around the village, so there are people in the lake and towels on the shore. But it's fortunately 2 km from here. Where is it here? In Masuria Garbate, at the end of an inconspicuous forest path, the beginning of which does not herald an endless clearing with only one guesthouse.
And we are quietly here, to the accompaniment of the crane clangor, we take care of the guests. We take eggs from the hens for breakfast, what has just grown from a greengrocer, and then we cook, serve and ask what you have an appetite for today. After or before the meal, you can go to the lake, ride a bike or on a mat - exercise. You can also come with a whole group and organize all kinds of workshops with us. We have two large practice rooms and space for 12 people. But remember not to rush. The tight schedule does not fit here. The attraction itself is 20 hectares of grass, trees and water exclusively. 2 lakes, 2 ponds and nothing else in sight. Around a living soul, except maybe chickens, bees, cats and a dog. And other relaxed guests. And that's all Nad Rogalami.
In a guesthouse that grows in the middle of a meadow. Nobody in this wilderness expects two modern buildings connected by a workshop room, a large vegetable garden, a herd of hives, a henhouse with 50 tenants. And yet it is. We have created a place to relax in nature, in comfort, in the smell of freshly ground coffee. For active groups, adults and teenagers.
There are only 4 rooms in two buildings. They are spacious, each has a separate entrance, a large panoramic window overlooking the greenery and its own bathroom. In total, they can accommodate up to 12 people. Some of them are on the ground floor and some on the second floor. Not all of them have access to the terrace.
We also have:
- a dining room where we serve all meals,
- a nook with a bookcase,
- a large terrace overlooking the lakes,
- even larger roof terrace,
- two workshop rooms with a heated wooden floor - 70 m2 (with access to the observation deck) and 90 m2 (in the attic).
You can count on full service with us. We serve a buffet breakfast in the dining room at 9:00 am. Dinner cycle: what you want in the morning, it will be on your plate in the afternoon, it is served at the agreed time, between 17:00 and 17.30. The dinner set includes soup, main course and dessert. Coffee and tea are available at all times in the dining room. Ms. Asia, the queen of Croissant cuisine, is skilled at cooking for vegetarians and vegans, so just whisper a word. Every day, however, she cooks at home and in a classic way. Proudly.
We have fruit and vegetables from our own garden - potatoes, melons, pumpkins, tomatoes, cabbage, from which pickles and cucumbers are made for the winter. We also have our own apiary, and thus honey. Due to the lack of crops and industry in the area, bees reap the benefits of ecological meadows and forests. Our hen house is ruled by 50 hens, thanks to which we have delicious eggs not only for breakfast, but also for Asia's brilliant apple pie.
We are trying not to rush anywhere, because we have created Nad Rogalami as our place for retirement. Therefore, we introduce an atmosphere of peace, silence, breath and smile. Nature supports us in this, because all around you can hear only the rustle of trees, the whistling of the wind, the buzzing of bees and wild animals.
If you've never heard the morning screams of cranes echoing through the surrounding woods, this is the place. Someone told us that this clangor, despite its sharpness, is soothing, reassuring. We have to admit this someone is right.
In addition to the cranes we listen to almost every day, you can see herons, hawks, and roe deer. Perhaps you will get a golden shot and see the eagle or hear the nightly calls of the wolves. In autumn, deer roar in the heavens.
The nights are black here, so observing the Perseids, tracing the celestial map with your finger or tracking starlinks is just like in a bank. If, of course, clouds allow it, because we have no dealings with them.
What else is possible, but not necessary Nad Rogalami?
- bathe in Lake Rogalik, where no one bathes (you are only a 5-minute walk away),
- lie there on the pier,
- read a book in a hammock between the trees,
- admire 2 lakes and 2 ponds from the terrace,
- go through the fields, along a groomed path, 1.5 km to the village, to the large Rogale lake, to a rural beach with sand,
- take a walk through the meadow and find a completely different world - swamps with withered trees and a landscape ruled by beavers,
- go kayaking - after making an appointment by phone, they will pick you up and take you on a rafting trip, e.g. on Łaźna Struga, which we highly recommend,
- go by bike (on site) on a trip between the lakes of Masuria Garbate,
- hide in a bookcase - there are readings about Masuria, nature, maintaining good health and some fiction,
- practice asanas in one of our workshop rooms (on-site mats).
In our guesthouse you will find workshop rooms where you can organize workshops for groups. We offer two rooms with a wooden, heated floor - 75 m2 (with access to the observation deck) and 90 m2 (in the attic). There can be workshops related to dance, movement, breathing, support for spiritual development, and creativity. Our environment is also conducive to the organization of photography and painting classes.
