He could go blue anytime, but he is standing still. On a forest plot in Roztocze, near a pond, a bit from the village. Sometimes a roe deer and sometimes a hare come here, but otherwise nothing happens. We have created our house on wheels so that you can forget yourself here - from work, from the city and dozens of stimuli provided by everyday life. And none of us physicists, but inspired by the Farady's Cage, built it so that when you cross the threshold, your internet and coverage go to a nap. You don't even have to lie to your boss that you'll be out of reach.
Instead of digital enjoyment, we suggest reading books on the mezzanine, yoga on the terrace and being with each other. You can also go on excursions from here - before you come to us, we will send you a Treasure Map created by us, on which we have applied our favorite places and trails of Roztocze. Put it all on one card and come. It is not known when Carthome will continue its journey.
We invite you to a house on wheels, located in the forest in Roztocze. It is an intimate place of rest for those who want to distance themselves from civilization and stay in nature. It will be especially good for couples, because the house is small (but you can also sleep here for 4 people - then 2 people sleep on the mezzanine upstairs, and 2 on the fold-out sofa downstairs).
The cottage includes:
– sleeping mezzanine with a large mattress,
– reading corner by the window on the mezzanine,
– basicly equipped kitchen,
- bathroom with shower,
– table with 4 chairs,
– air conditioning / heating,
– a goat perfect for autumn and winter evenings,
– terrace with chairs.
Here we have just enough to de-stimulate ourselves and not much more.
We designed our house so that electromagnetic smog would not have access here. What does it mean? As soon as you cross the threshold, you will lose signal and internet. If you want to call or use the Internet, you have to go out to the terrace (this also applies to remote work - it is possible from the terrace only in warm months). However, if we were you, we would give it up, forget about work and take a full-fledged vacation.
The house is approximately 200 m away from the first buildings of the nearby village, on the border of which it is located. Our forest plot is not fenced, so you may encounter a mushroom picker or a walker nearby, but in practice, few people venture here.
It is 50 m from the street in a straight line. Not much, but the road is quiet and the house is hidden behind the trees. If you don't know it's there, it's hard to find it.
The keys to the house can be found in a tiny box, to which we will send you a code a few days before your arrival.
In case of any problems, we are nearby and at your disposal.
For traveling pets, there is a one-time additional fee of PLN 100.
You will have to take care of your meals here yourself. In the house there is a kitchen with basic equipment - a two-burner stove, tableware and a coffee maker (coffee will be provided, as well as tea).
For further supplies, we send you to the local market in Biłgoraj. And for those who don't like cooking in a forest house, we can recommend several nearby restaurants (below).
If you want to try local delicacies, we will prepare a breakfast basket for you (PLN 60/person/2 nights)
In your place, we would come here to get bored. Here we worship boredom and recommend unhurried, secluded entertainment, such as:
– sitting on the terrace and listening to the forest,
– meditation,
– forest bathing, i.e. the practice of mindfulness during walks in the forest,
- yoga on the terrace,
– reading books in the reading corner on the mezzanine,
– walks around the area: to the pond, to the river, to the field.
We have several bodies of water in the area. About 200 m from here there is a village pond where water sports are practiced. Have you heard of kayak polo? They play there. Maybe you'll catch the game?
A 10-minute walk from the cottage there is a forest pond hidden in the trees. You won't play anything on it, but you can go for a walk there, look at the water, calm down.
The Biszcza-Żary Reservoir is 15-20 minutes by car from us. It's a touristy place with fries, waffles, slides and bikes, but if you go there in the evening, it's much more intimate.
In fact, there is a lot to do in our area, because Roztocze has a lot to offer. After confirming your booking, we will send you our "Treasure Map". This is what we say about the guide we have prepared ourselves. You will find there natural, historical, culinary and gastronomic recommendations in a large radius. Thanks to them you will be able to organize closer and further trips.
What’s there for children?
Guests with children come to us rarely, because it so happens that couples are the best with us. But you can, if you feel like it. For little ones, we can arrange a baby cot for you (just let us know in advance), the few-year-olds can sleep on the sofa downstairs. We have forest-based attractions here - watching hares and deer or picking mushrooms. You can also go on a car trip to one of the nearby places, where the kids will find entertainment.
