In Andalusia, there are cows and cork forests, and we inflect the word '' zadupie '' by all cases. Well, just imagine such a scene. Rolled hills like bubble wrap, a string of pastures like a cow, and three roads crosswise. Add a dozen or so houses to this idyllic view and you have our neighborhood in front of your eyes. Not that we planned it. In fact, we just wanted to replace an apartment in Warsaw's Śródmieście district with a suburban real estate. By coincidence and a compromise, we landed on the doorstep of a cotton dryer converted into a house. In Spain, almost 3,500 kilometers from the original plans.

For the next few months we found out on our own feet that it would be difficult to find a better starting point. We got into the car - which, incidentally, is a must - and drove on. The first road led to towns as if from a postcard. The second is for cork forests and waterfalls, and the third for the Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea. After a day of wandering, lying on a cake by the home pool tasted like the best coffee from a Hungarian thermos twisted like a Russian thermos, the owner of the Numero C bar in Tarifa.

Today we share our lives between Poland and Spain. We invite everyone who appreciates the sun, nature and fabulous views from the terrace. This is the right place if you are looking for adventure.

Simplicity was our guiding principle when creating Casa Nidra. We were already using the things found at home and looking for the most natural materials possible. The house has three bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, a kitchen with a dining room and a panoramic patio with a swimming pool. There is a guitar and a cajón, but no TV, and the last 200 meters of the road requires more careful driving in cars without higher suspension. The internet doesn't speed light, but it works fine in the living room.

You come to this place for a total reset and such views from the pool that your head is small. There are hills outside the window, and a peacock peeks out onto the patio. And with a free hour, you can drive to the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Andalusian towns on the tops of the mountain ranges. We are at the heart of nothing, so that virtually every day can be spent in a different landscape.

We rent the house exclusively for several months a year. For the rest, we live in it ourselves, tightening ties with our neighbors and looking for new places to recommend. You don't have to worry too much about not knowing Spanish - there are a lot of British, German and Dutch in Andalusia. Anyway, we share one wall of the house with the British Catherine, who deals with ceramics.

We put the house entirely at your disposal, and this also applies to cooking. As we spend part of the year here ourselves, a well-equipped kitchen was one of our priorities. In addition to the oven, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher, we also took care of cool details, such as, for example, interesting tableware.

Great food awaits you in Jimena de la Frontera, several kilometers away. We like and recommend the El Paseo and la Estación restaurants. You will also discover Spanish flavors in the picturesque town of Gaucin and in our beloved Tarifa. In Tarifa, make sure to stop for a coffee at the Numero C bar.

Casa Nidra is a home between the Andalusian hills, the Mediterranean Sea and cork forests. We warn you, however, that you will need a car to get to know the area. But if it is so, then there are no limits to your soul.

- Gaucin Towns (30 minutes)

The romantics would say that the road to Gaucin is like climbing stairs to heaven. With every turn it gets more and more beautiful and higher, to finally be able to see a 360-degree panorama. The town actually developed almost at the very top of the hill, and its charm cannot be denied due to the traditional, white buildings. It houses, among others A 17th-century sandstone church and castle ruins, reminiscent of landscapes from our Jurassic eagle nests. At the ruins there is a varied zip-line and the so-called Tibetan bridge, ferrata. It is also worth coming to Gaucin for local restaurants. Quite a few of them have an absolutely unbelievable view. There are also interesting shops with Andalusian products (eg La Posada).

- Tarifa towns overlooking Morocco (approx. 1 hour)

This is one of our beloved places in Spain. You come to Tarifa to see how the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean and the surfers speed on the waves. Strong winds attract water enthusiasts here, travelers are tempted by the view of Morocco, less than 20 km away. We come to the southernmost point of mainland Europe for sandy beaches, architecture and unique climate. You should come too, because it's worth it!

- Parque Natural Los Alcornocales (30 minutes)

There are the largest cork forests in Spain and one of the largest in the world. However, it is worth getting into the car not only for trees, because nature has also taken care of other wonders. It makes a huge impression, among others Buitreras canyon, around which a walking route runs. The canyon can also be covered more by climbing with an organized group. Look around carefully, rarer and rarer vultures live here.

- The town of Jimena de la Frontera (15 minutes)

We usually come here for a quick coffee, visiting the majestic castle and shopping. In Jimena you will find tapas bars, narrow streets and the tranquility of the Andalusian countryside.

- Punta Carnero (approx. 1 hour)

Instead of sandy beaches, there are stones here, and instead of crowds and screens - emptiness. It is a great walking area, with a view of Africa and rocks torn by the winds. Make sure that phones on Punta Carnero do not catch Moroccan coverage, because the bill may hurt you.

- ... nowhere (0 minutes)

Sometimes we just hang out at home. We play guitar, eat breakfast for 3 hours and then swim in the pool and read books. After all, it's a day tomorrow too, so why rush somewhere?

Forward - the animals from the neighborhood. The dogs Kari and Rusty come to visit, the cows come to the roads, sometimes the peacock and sheep will also appear. At home, there is a swimming pool for the kids, and there are forest paths and beaches nearby. Just remember about the necessary car - children with motion sickness may not find themselves in a place where you have to drive several kilometers to the nearest store.
