At a glance
Franz Kafka will greet you on the wall of the hall when you cross the threshold of the mill. He will be in two incarnations at the same time - once alone, once with his fiancée. We want the story to unfold freely in our interiors, so the images present here can wander from place to place. Just like the beavers we coexist with here. They cause us a lot of trouble, because they sharpen their teeth on our garden trees, but we get along somehow. We planted these trees many years ago when we bought the mill. Today they are 10 meters high and we are very proud of them.
We will not lure you with banalities and superlatives about our water house. We find ordinary life in it surprising and unusual enough. Listening to the sound of the river water, you will practice yoga on the grass, read or meditate. In an intimate atmosphere, close to nature and art, you will slow down and take a deep breath. When you feel like being active, you can explore the area by bike or canoe. We have heard, however, that it is not easy to leave this place. We will be glad if you want to check it out for yourself.

We are on-site, we give our guests space and intimacy, but we're always ready to help
We bought the Old Mill thirty years ago, and the trees we planted back then are already very large. We decided it was time to open our place to guests.
We called it art-Młyn because we live close to art here—the walls are decorated with fabrics and paintings by Kalina and fellow artists.
We offer our guests two invaluable things that are increasingly rare these days: clean, peacefully flowing water and silence.
The mill sits on the edge of a 6-hectare forest, directly on the riverbank. We occupy approximately 1 ha, while the remaining 5 ha are occupied by nature, and we strive to avoid disturbing it. Due to its exceptional natural values, the Ilanka Valley area is protected by Natura 2000. We have no neighbors except beavers, roe deer, and red deer, so no one and nothing disturbs the peace and quiet here. You can truly slow down and breathe deeply.
Water is our most important asset—you can hear and see it from all sides. The most beautiful feature is, of course, the waterfall behind the Mill. You can listen to it for hours. Once upon a time, when the Mill was in operation, it was always very noisy here. Now, Silence reigns supreme, and everything returns to the beginning—panta rhei.
We don't know exactly when the Mill was built. Probably in the late 19th century. On the south wall of the building, you can see the remains of the Łyńsk wheel that powered the Mill before it was replaced by a water turbine in the early 1930s. The Mill operated until the early 1970s. Twenty years later, we moved here.
Our guests have access to five double rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. There's also a large dining room with a table for 12, and right next to it is a beautiful, glass-enclosed veranda with sofas and armchairs, where you can relax comfortably. Upstairs, there's an additional small lounge with sofas and a large window overlooking the river and garden. It's a good place to read—we have a small library for those who don't bring anything with them.
In the garden, which we conceived and designed according to the principles of Feng Shui, guests will find many pleasant nooks that will perhaps inspire meditation and your own exploration of this fascinating topic.
The garden adjoins the mill ditch on one side and the river on the other. We have two private bridges here, which were once used by carts loaded with grain and flour. Today, you can lie on the bridge in a hammock, listen to the river, and think of nothing. Just beyond the fence is a path to the forest.
