Franz Kafka will greet you on the wall of the hall when you cross the threshold of the mill. He will be in two incarnations at the same time - once alone, once with his fiancée. We want the story to unfold freely in our interiors, so the images present here can wander from place to place. Just like the beavers we coexist with here. They cause us a lot of trouble, because they sharpen their teeth on our garden trees, but we get along somehow. We planted these trees many years ago when we bought the mill. Today they are 10 meters high and we are very proud of them. We will not lure you with banalities and superlatives about our water house. We find ordinary life in it surprising and unusual enough. Listening to the sound of the river water, you will practice yoga on the grass, read or meditate. In an intimate atmosphere, close to nature and art, you will slow down and take a deep breath. When you feel like being active, you can explore the area by bike or canoe. We have heard, however, that it is not easy to leave this place. We will be glad if you want to check it out for yourself.

Here Slowhop will describe your place

Host:
Kalina i Artur
We bought the mill thirty years ago and the trees we planted then are now very large. We decided it was time to open our place to guests. We called it art-Młyn because we live close to art - fabrics and paintings by Kalina and friendly artists hang on the walls. Our mill stands directly on the river bank. Water is the most important thing for us. You can listen to the waterfall behind the mill for hours. We have no neighbors, apart from beavers, roe deer and deer, so no one and nothing disturbs the peace here. You can slow down and take a deep breath. The mill was probably built at the end of the 19th century and operated until the early 1970s. Twenty years later we moved here.

We have two things for our guests that are increasingly difficult to find today - clean, calmly flowing water and silence. The mill stands on the edge of the forest on an area of 6 hectares, directly on the river bank. We took up about 1 ha, the remaining 5 ha is occupied by nature and we try not to disturb it. We offer 5 double rooms. In three rooms (Element Ogień, Element Metal and Element Earth) there are two single beds, which can be joined at the guests' request. Two rooms (Element Woda and Element Drewno) each have two single beds that cannot be joined. In addition, the rooms include: – work table and chair – two armchairs with a small coffee table, - Wardrobe, – bathroom with shower (with a hairdryer and two towels per person) We live in the same house, but our apartment is independent of the guest space and our activities will not interfere with each other. However, we are open to talking and getting to know each other. We will be happy to tell you a little about the area and our favorite places. In the garden, which we designed according to the rules of Feng Shui, there are many pleasant corners waiting for our guests. Perhaps they will become an inspiration for meditation and your own search. We can accommodate 10-12 people at a time (2 extra beds are possible). We cordially invite small groups with their own program to the workshops. There is a room for recreational activities in the building (70 m2) and plenty of space in the garden for exercises and outdoor activities. Small workshop classes can also be held on the glass veranda (40 m2). We can negotiate individual conditions for groups. The recreation room has an exercise area, a ping-pong table and table football. When it comes to remote work from the mill - no problem. We have fiber optic and fast internet. All rooms have comfortable work desks, you can work on the glass veranda or in the library overlooking the river. We have poor mobile network coverage. We cannot invite children because the house is surrounded by water on all sides and there is no way to designate safe spaces for children. Unfortunately, it is not possible to come to us with animals. Our dog Gwiazda is already the guardian of the house and yard and we would not like to stress her. The star is taken for walks outside the plot, so you can walk barefoot on the grass without fear :-) We invite everyone who is looking for a break from the hustle and bustle and stress, is curious about non-obvious tourist places, and values the energy and peace that can be found in the forest. We are not in favor of animal hunting. We do not accept guests who come to the forest for this purpose. Our Deer, who hangs in the hall above the mirror and sometimes talks to Franz, is made of plastic and represents opposition to the hunting tradition.

You will take care of your food here on your own. There is a well-equipped kitchen at your disposal, and you can eat your meals in a spacious dining room connected to the kitchen or on the veranda. In the kitchen you will find a lot of space to store your own products - in cabinets marked with the names of individual rooms, and in two spacious fridges, there is enough space for everything you bring with you. Shopping is best done on the way to the mill, in Rzepin or in Torzym in large grocery stores. There is Biedronka, Dino, Lewiatan, Delikatesy Centrum and other smaller shops. The distance between the mill and both of these towns is about 15 km. The closest to us, in the village of Bielice (distance 1.5 km), is a small shop where you can buy basic products. If you do not feel like cooking dinner, then in Rzepin, Torzym and Sulęcin (distance of about 15 km) there are restaurants, large and small, where you can eat well, or buy takeaway, and even have them delivered to your place. We'd love to recommend something.

You can splash in the river, if the weather is nice, or lie on the bridge over the river in a hammock and listen to the sound of water. You can also walk away towards the second bridge and, lying on a deckchair in the meadow, admire the beaver dams. Although these deprived the ditch of water, they gave the beavers the opportunity to build many lodges in the meadows in front of the mill. Not far from us, on the initiative of the Rzepin Forest Inspectorate, the Beaver Trail path was created, which we heartily recommend. The place is of extraordinary beauty, and the forester is very friendly. Beavers are very interesting and smart animals. In principle, there is no reason to leave our paradise voluntarily. However, if someone really wants to, just behind the fence, which is a smooth border of the garden, there is a forest and all its wonders. Apparently, one hour of walking in the forest is enough to fully relax and calm down. If you want to practice yoga, tai chi, or meditate in peace and quiet, or simply read books, or walk barefoot on the grass in the morning, you will find a friendly space with us. Our place is also ideal for active rest with Nordic walking, cycling or canoeing. There are water equipment rentals in the area, which organize canoeing trips on the Ilanka and the other nearby Pliszka River. However, we recommend caution here, because both rivers are very difficult for novice kayakers. For supporters of calmer variants of sport, we have a table tennis and foosball table. Or maybe a game of chess will be the right accent of the day? Artur is a chess and table tennis enthusiast, Kalina often practices tai chi in the morning and you can join in. The mill is located in the Natura 2000 area, rich in animals, especially birds. Anyone with curiosity and patience can watch them. Where is it worth going on further trips? “To one of the nearby vineyards. Lubuskie has many places associated with viticulture and winemaking. — To Kostrzyn nad Odrą, and visit the Kostrzyn Fortress Museum and the Old Town. Being in the vicinity of Kostrzyn, you can't refuse a walk around the Ujście Warty National Park. — Go fishing to Sulęcin in the Kormoran fishing resort. There is a good restaurant on the premises. — To Łagów, visit the historic castle of the Joannites or go paddle boating or canoeing on Łagów lakes. — To Międzyrzecz, visit the Międzyrzecz Regional Museum with the largest collection of coffin portraits in Poland, the ruins of the Piast castle or the Międzyrzecz Fortification Region. – To Frankfurt (Oder) – it is only 35 km away, so you can even go shopping, but there are also some interesting tourist places. - To Berlin - by highway it is 140 km, which is about 1.5 hours, and there - you know - a lot of attractions. You can go in the morning, explore all day, and return to the mill in the evening for a quiet overnight stay. And all the time free highway!

How do I get there?

Icon Car

Our address: Wystok 35, Torzym, Lubusz Province, Poland

Translated by Google Translate.

Convenient access by car via the A2 motorway to the final exit Torzym or Tarnawa. It is about 15 minutes from both exits, all the time along a comfortable asphalt local road. First you have to go along road 92 to the village of Boczów. From Boczów 4 km in the direction of Smogóry. The mill is located about 1.5 km beyond the village of Bielice on the right side of the road. Just after the bridge over the Ilanka River, you need to turn right. You can also skip the highway and take the 92 national road to Boczów. Continue as above. ATTENTION! Please check the directions according to Google Maps. Some navigations show our address incorrectly in the village of Wystok. If in doubt, please contact us by phone or email.

Pozdrawiamy serdecznie i do zobaczenia następnym razem, Kalina i Artur + Gwiazda

My też pięknie dziękujemy! Kalina i Artur

Gorąco polecam nie tylko to wspaniałe, klimatyczne, bardzo przytulne miejsce, ale przede wszystkim polecam cudownych ludzi - gospodarzy, którzy czynią to miejsce unikatowym. To naprawdę dobre miejsce by odpocząć.

Jesteśmy pełni podziwu i trochę zazdrościmy :-) Do zobaczenia następnym razem i wszystkiego dobrego, Kalina i Artur + Gwiazda
