No one decent came to this area, because too many robber's paths crossed here. In the sunny pastures, the wind tangled the sheep's hair and carried the sounds of shepherd's thrombites into the valleys. More than one gold thaler, found by miracle, was drank in a tavern at a Jew's in Rajcza. The tailor from Żywiec sewed the count's sheepskin coats so dignified that he got a clearing for them, which is today called Krawców Wierch. And in Muńcula, 25 highwaymen hid their skin on one side of the mountain, and treasures on the other. Today, our part of Beskid Żywiecki still lies off the main routes. The greatest adventurers, however, passed into legends, and their place was taken by nature and people who like peace.
Soblówka 404 consists of four apartments. They all have their own bathrooms and decent kitchenettes (Makłowicz would not recommend anything). We put a lot of emphasis on space, so you can place even a thousand puzzle pieces on the floor without fear. In each room, pleasurable pleasures await you - here, a fireplace, an exit to the terrace there, a window sill with Marzena, an armchair from 1962. The house itself is surrounded by well over a hectare of forest meadow, bordering the Cicha River, which spills over the slope like a raspberry the juice from the fingers picking up the fruit.
Come on over. Contrary to the misleading number in the name - this place does exist.
Have you heard of Soblówka? Neither have we for a long time. That is why sometimes it is still hard for us to believe that a meaningless word can turn into a synonym for home. Because that's what Soblówka and the surrounding Beskid Żywiecki are for us. Our log cabin is surrounded by 1.5 hectares of forest meadow. The cottage itself got a second life with us, repaying us with a rustic space where the morning light paints pictures on the walls. Inside there were 4 apartments, in no way arousing claustrophobia. They are full of original details, works of local artists, but also modern comforts.

What is important: the hut is old, and the patter of small feet carries a lot - that's why we decided to invite older children, only over 14 years of age. Although we also love animals, our cats from the shelter no longer share this love. In the interests of their comfort, we must refuse reservations to guests with dogs.
Thank you for understanding!
We invite you to our home kitchen, where it smells like a family home, and the dishes taste like a real pantry from the old days.
1. We can prepare an idyllic breakfast for you :-)
We will personally prepare breakfast delicacies for you, which we will deliver directly to your apartments, just like in a 5* hotel.
Our dishes are based on the seasonal calendar and we compose them based on unique, local products, such as wonderful cheeses (bundz, oscypek, bryndza) and other gifts of nature (fruits, vegetables, mushrooms).
In our kitchen, we also create our own preserves, so that guests can appreciate the flavors of the Beskids all year round.
Mr. Jan from Rajcza provides us with home-made cold cuts, we have honey from Grapy in Soblówka, and plum jam from our garden Hungarian dumplings.
Neighbor Irenka cares very much about her hens, thanks to which we have fresh homemade eggs for you.
In the season, organic vegetables from our vegetable garden and delicious fruit will appear on your plates.
Bread from a local bakery always reminds us of our childhood.
We also remember about coffee lovers who like something sweet with their coffee in the morning.
2. We also prepare homemade food for you, which we close in a jar. Among others:
- Kwaśnica with ribs, potatoes and sauerkraut in a clay barrel by dad - Stasia.
- Sourdough soup cooked with white sausage and country egg, from the happy hens of the neighbor Irenka.
- Baked beans with homely sausage and bread from the Uysolska bakery.
- Tomato soup from our vegetable garden, cooked with rice on chicken broth.
- Beef tripe in idyllic broth.
- Red borscht on meat broth, based on our proprietary beetroot sourdough.
- Soblówkowe croquettes with meat or with cabbage and mushrooms.
- Old Polish stew made of sauerkraut from dad - Staś, with the addition of venison and dried mushrooms from our forest garden.
3. If you want to cook for yourself, that's great, because each apartment has a kitchen (equipped with: fridge, dishwasher, induction hob, pressure coffee machine, kitchen accessories, and in apartment no. 1 also an oven), and you can eat meals in your apartments on the terraces or in the garden.
4. We work with the local community because we simply like our neighbors. Just around the corner is Kamp Soblówka, a place where you can eat delicious food. They have a short menu always consisting of fresh and valuable propositions. There is, among others pizza with regional cheeses and sausage, and for dessert homemade pastries with blackberries and blueberries, of course from the local forests. What coffee do they have! For real coffee connoisseurs, it will be a delicious treat. All this can be eaten, drunk on site or ordered to go.
5. In the season from May to October, it is worth going for a walk to the Shepherd's Shelter of Szczechowiczów "Przysiółek Królowej", where cheese is made in a traditional way. They have real oscypek, bundz, bryndza. It is necessary to try on the spot in a wooden cup rye (or, if you prefer, rye), i.e. whey made from sheep's milk. There is no better natural probiotic!
6. While in Slovakia, stop by Tribuna PUB, where you can eat burgers, salad and Slovak pizza. In Gościniec Smrekowa Chata in Glinka, right next to us, you can have a tasty dinner, order pizza and local soup.
The Beskid Żywiecki is dominated by Babia Góra, the highest and most moody peak of the Beskids. There are many beautiful panoramas around, which instead of shamefully covering themselves with a wall of trees, prefer to shine with their beauty in their full splendor. We have unbelievable routes with views of the Tatras, forest wilderness and clear streams. The lucky ones can meet a wolf, and even a bear peeking in these pages from time to time.
There is a black walking trail just in front of the house. The green trail starts not much further, joining later with the blue one. There is also a yellow shepherd's trail in the area and a red trail - both for walking and cycling. The goal of the trip is the shepherd's hut on Rycerzowa (where time does not pass) or, for example, the shelter on Przegibek (famous for its pancakes and cakes from Orava). And for a light run, we recommend the route to Polana Królowa, where the Szczechowiczów shepherd's hut stands.
There is a border crossing 15 minutes by car from the house. Slovak trails are famous for a small number of tourists (even in high season), and Slovak cuisine is made of fried cheese and poured from Kofola, the former Czechoslovakian 'Coca-Cola'. The yellow ski trail to Krawców Wierch begins at the crossing in Ujsoły. To get to the lifts, it is best to cross the border and drive to the town of Orawska Leśna (40 minutes drive).
What's up in the monuments? In the area there is the Habsburg Palace, which is now unfortunately converted into a hospital, which makes it impossible to even visit the park. In Złatna you can see the ruins of a metallurgical furnace and a larch forester's lodge from 1876. In further Jaworzynka it is worth visiting the Na Grapie Regional Museum. From there, it is not far to Istebna, the birthplace of Kukuczka (see the Memorial Room run by his wife Cecylia). There is also an inconspicuous Forest Ecological Education Center in the same town.
NOTHING is also doing well in Soblówka.
Because with us you don't have to do anything - but you can do anything.
What’s there for children?
We invite children over the age of 14 only.
