You will find us in the Suwałki region, but the landscape is undulating. In Poland, but even further than the north. On the border with Lithuania, at the very end of the country. Or maybe just at the beginning?
Two kilometers from the border, on a three-hectare plot, by Lake Hołny. This is our village with a completely exotic name. Hołny Mejera has as many inhabitants as a cat cried, and attractions as much as a crying baby of tears. We have a house with a view of a pond and a meadow like from the windows, a few steps to the lake with its own pier and a place for a fire on the beach. And this is just a warm-up. After that, time for canoeing, exploring the area on two wheels, a day on sails and an afternoon on the tennis court, an evening in the sauna. Morning on a boat with a fishing rod, sunbathing on a pedalo and a quick match of beach volleyball. You can also turn from side to side on the terrace or light a fire in the fireplace. Take your passports as you may feel like traveling abroad. The rest of the ingredients you need to create an outstanding holiday are in place.
Welcome to our window to the world. Through them you can admire the undulating terrain, greenery, groves, a pond and herons that regularly eat fish from it. The lake cannot be seen directly from the house, because it is located just behind the hill. It is enough, however, that you go up the hill and your eyes will see the great blue of Lake Hołny. A few more steps and you will land on a private beach with a pier and a gazebo for meditation and morning coffee.
It is in such natural circumstances that our new house stands, in the Suwałki paradise!
The house is fresh as a morning roll in the bakery, because we put it into use in the summer of this year. It is designed for a maximum of 6 people, because we have 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a shower.
- The first bedroom on the ground floor has a double bed, access to the terrace.
- The second bedroom on the ground floor has two single beds and direct access to the terrace.
- The third bedroom is located on the mezzanine above the living room and kitchen. You will enter it by stairs located in the vestibule. It has a double bed.
On the ground floor there is a large open space with a living room with a fireplace, TV, radio and a beautiful view of the surrounding meadows, a kitchen with a large window overlooking the grove, a dining area with a table, and a bathroom with a shower next to it.
There is also a large terrace and all attractions by the lake at your disposal. You can read about it in the section about boredom, or rather the lack of it.
There is self-service at home. You cook it yourself, you serve it yourself, you wash it yourself, unless they wash what you haven't cooked. Anyway, you set the rules in the kitchen individually. We give you all the cooking tools you need on vacation and the addresses of places where you can buy rural products, e.g.
homemade sękacz (supposedly the best in the region), eggs, dairy products, amazing honey.
In our area you will find several places for focusing and grilling. There is one fire place on the beach by the lake, the other one is hidden in the grove behind the house, there is also a barbecue.
We recommend drinking your morning coffee in the gazebo by the lake, eating breakfast in the gazebo by the house, and eating dinner on the terrace overlooking the pond.
If you prefer not to cook, we have several proven culinary addresses that we use. The Suwałki Region is much more than lakes and forests. It is a border tripoint, offering such flavors that stories are written about later. You must try kartacze, pancakes, perch, smoked whitefish and whitefish, sękacz and of course - an anthill.
We know those who do not even move from the terrace to the lake, although it is only a few steps away, and there is a private beach with a pier and water as clear as a tear. We also know those who come home only to sleep and are already in motion with the first rays of the sun. It is only up to you how you will spend your time in Czapla in the pond. You can just like lazy noodles, you can like sportsmen.
For the active we have a range of possibilities. Of course, you can fan yourself with this fan on the beach, but you can do something new every hour. As part of the promotion of a healthy lifestyle - we do not charge for any of the listed attractions. They are part of the experience of our habitat, they stand by our first house - on the other side of the dirt road. We have for you:
- tennis court (with all equipment) free of charge. Is illuminated on request 50 PLN/h,
- football field, beach volleyball, basketball,
- bicycles - we have the Euro Velo route here, and as cyclists we recommend the wilderness of the Lithuanian Lake District,
- we also have windsurfing - at your disposal,
- beach by the lake with a gazebo by the pier just for you.

In addition, there is a stocked pond with a platform next to the house, you can get your foot wet, you can sunbathe, you can dip your fishing rod. By the lake, a few steps from the house, there is a private (only for you) beach with a pier and a gazebo right on the shore.
We also invite you to the area. There is a piece of Poland, Lithuania (with an aquapark in Druskininkai, 30 km from us) and Masuria to see. Here are the things you should see in the Suwałki Region.
- Sejny, a multicultural town with just over 6,000 inhabitants, an Orthodox church, a synagogue and Catholic churches,
-Milosz's court in Krasnogruda from the other side of the lake,
- post-Camaldolese monastery in Wigry, the most valuable monument of Suwałki,
- a complex of 30 tea-colored forest ponds in the forests around Lake Wigry,
- Mount Cisowa, called Suwałki Fujiyama, a symbol of the Suwałki Region,
- Bridges in Stańczyki, like from a Harry Potter movie,
- Hańcza - the deepest lake not only in Poland, but in the entire Central European Lowland,
- a diving center in the village of Błaskowizna, if you want to get closer to the bottom of Hańcza,
- Rospuda Valley - with lots of birds and animals,
- Leptodor boat with windows in the bottom. In this way, you can study the aquatic life of Lake Wigry,
- Vilnius is only 150 km away and it's a great idea for a day trip,
- Druskininkai, a small, sleepy town, is 30 km away. There is the largest water park in Europe,
- to Merecz to admire the sunsets over the Nemunas bend and climb the lookout tower only 40 km,
- to Trakai in Lithuania, a treasure of Lithuanian history, 130 km.
What’s there for children?
Families with an older team of kids will feel best at home. 10+ will be just right. There is a pond with a pier next to the house (approx. 20 meters), and a lake just beyond the hill, all without fences and security. However, there is paradise for older children!
We have so many attractions that the head is small, so much activity that boredom is not allowed, so much madness in the plans that even the most durable children's batteries cannot cope.
