I guess each of us knows the saying "drop everything and go to the Bieszczady Mountains". And I would like to change them by law to: drop everything and go to Lubuskie. Because it is Lubuskie that should become a new synonym of wildness, virgin nature and wilderness. It's a bit like Alaska, but without the mountains. We have one of the least popular and most delightful National Parks in Poland - Drawieński. We have lakes, rivers full of trout and salmon, the neighboring Drawa, where you can experience almost mountain rafting, and the largest afforestation in Poland. That is why it was here, after years of traveling around the world, that I decided to create Dacza Owl, a place for close encounters with nature.
Three yurts with access to the sky, a fireplace for truly Mongolian winters, a sauna and a tub for pampering. They are located in the tourist steppes, in an area fortunately forgotten, so still wild. With the neighborhood of Drawa, otters, hooting Eagle Owls and meadows with blankets of fog. Come for a five-star vacation in the forest and feel what it's like to be a Juulchin from Drawie (a word of Mongolian origin meaning a tourist).
The Owl Dacha, i.e. 3 year-round yurts, which were created for Juulchin (tourists) from Drawa. I modeled them on Mongolian tents, but I wanted you to be as comfortable as possible here. Probably nomads from the Asian steppes did not have the opportunity to lie in a round hammock built into the terrace, and you certainly did. With a view of the forest, with the ability to quickly jump into the tub, warm up in the sauna, take a nap by the fireplace.
Yurts are similar, the only difference is the color of the decor elements. In the forest of Puchaczowe there is:
1. Gourmet Eagle Owl Yurt
2. Explorer's Owl Yurt
3. Yurt of the Thinker Owl
Illuminated paths lead to each of them.
Yurts are designed for a maximum of 4 people, but as it is one open space, it is best for a family or a couple. They own:
- a bedroom area with a large double bed in an intimate niche with a curtain,
- a bathroom with a shower,
- a living area with a sofa, a coffee table, a fireplace,
- a dining area with a table for 4 people,
- kitchenette,
- a terrace with round hammocks - couches,
- towels, bathrobes, books about the area, games, dryer, picnic basket, picnic blanket, ecological cosmetics, deckchairs.
In the ceiling of each yurt there is a skylight (electrically driven), mounted perfectly under the stars, so that you can be even closer to nature.
All Guests - Juulchin Drewieński, please treat the yurts with kindness, and above all, walk around their interior without shoes.
We like dogs very much and each yurt is equipped with a bed :)
An island in a yurt? Everything is possible in Dacha. You can prepare meals in a well-equipped kitchenette and eat them with taste on the terrace or in the dining corner with a wooden table for 4 people.
You can also order a breakfast basket with eco products (products from the basket are enough for 4 people), guests say that the bread we put in the basket is some kind of space - it's hard to disagree. If cooking on vacation is not your thing, then order lunches with delivery from a nearby restaurant.
Welcome to the deafness. Only nature really happens here. For the first coffee or tea of the day, you can go out to the terrace, relax your eyes with greenery and look a bit into the distance (it's great for your eyesight). The accompaniment of the morning bird program in the package. And then there is nothing more pleasant than a bath in a hot tub (especially when the weather does not encourage you to get out from under the covers). In summer, you can not heat the water and cool down in a tub with bubbles.
When you decide to move from the tub or terrace hammock, you can start with a micro-trip. Over the Drawa flowing a few meters from the yurts, into the forest, into the meadows. In the summer you can cool down in the river - the pleasant current has already been tested by the gentlemen building the yurts.
And since there is a river, there are also kayaks. You will start the next trip in our village. The Drawskie Kajaki Foundation organizes rafting trips on the Drawa River, thanks to which you can admire the Drawa National Park from the water level. You can adjust the difficulty level to your rowing skills. There are relaxing cuts, and there are almost mountain ones. It is possible that you will be able to meet an otter on the trail.
Being here, in the buffer zone of the Drawski National Park, it would be a sin not to cross its threshold. In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful, and certainly one of the wildest National Parks in Poland. All in all, fortunately, little is said about it, because thanks to that you can walk or bike among the stunning nature, passing old country houses with colorful doors, porches and shutters, without meeting a living soul along the way.
And there is where to walk and ride. The trails in the Drawieński National Park have a total length of over 230 km. It is over 11.5 thousand hectares of picturesque forest complex on the edge of three voivodships: Wielkopolskie, Lubuskie and Zachodniopomorskie. These are the Drawa River, Płociczna, famous for the last spawning grounds of salmon, Wartka Słopica, full of trouts, the Dark Runica, Variable Cieszynka, lakes, the remains of mills, steelworks, bindugs and coal mines.
IMPORTANT: There are 20 lakes in the park, which are very diverse in ecological terms. And only one of them, Lake Ostrowieckie, is not prohibited for swimming and fishing.
If you feel like it, and it's worth it, we'll give you a contact for a great guide who will organize a tour with a guided tour around the area (and the area is extremely interesting historically and urbex) or around the Park. The area around the yurts is a real mine for adventure seekers. You will find here many post-German fortifications, ruins of a water mill, wooden bridges, and even the remains of the palace of the von Zabeltiz family. Make sandwiches, throw a backpack on your back and get to know what's going on in Lubuskie.
When cycling, it is especially worth going on a trip along Lake Ostrowite and stopping at the viewpoint from which there is a beautiful panorama of the island covered with trees in the middle of the lake. You will get there by following the green and yellow trails connected to each other.
Bike trails. Red: "Loop Zatom" (20.64 km), blue: "Loop Barnimie" (33.16 km), green: "Loop Głusko" (23.50 km).
PS There is a bicycle rack waiting for cycling enthusiasts in Dacha.
If enotourism (following the vineyards) is the closest to you, then you must go to the Mierzęcin Vineyard and the Equus Vineyard.
Horse enthusiasts will also find something for themselves. Two vineyards about 15-20 km away from the yurts, JZ Guest Ranch-Ranczo Gościnne Zawadzcy and Stajnia Van Szok - Reitstall Birkenhof.
What’s there for children?
I have a suspicion bordering on certainty that children will have a great time here. Anyway, see for yourself - these autumn staff are probably the best recommendation. Throughout the year, you can bathe in a warm tub, run around the large area, lie in round couches, walk around the wilderness. You can go to the river and play stone bridge constructors there, you can go to the Drawieński National Park on an interesting cognitive path called "Ostrowieckie Lake".
