A village nursery school in the former Galicia, built with the stubbornness of local residents in 1918. The building was quickly surrounded by trees, planted as goodbyes by students of the oldest grades. The orchard quickly thickened, there was no room for young love drama on the sloping benches, and the old blackboards were harder and harder to wipe off. We do not know if children skipped school, although they must have, since on one side the rocks of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland invited them to play, on the other side, they had the entire Beskids and the ponds of the Dolina Karpia all around. Time passed at its own pace. There were two wars, several political systems and one fire before something surprising happened to the old school in Łazy. We invite you to a place that tells two stories. One is the story of an enchanted female architect. The second is a legend about students from a Galician school near Zator. Out of traces of history, the will to return to the roots and high-flying dreams, an extraordinary house was created. It tells the guests a story of growing up, the history of handicrafts and a new beginning. And with respect to what has been, it shows its new face. We walk here with bare feet, taste strawberries straight from the field, discover all the richness of Lesser Poland and come back to our childhoods when everything was simple and possible. Come on vacation to the old school - you'll get it exclusively, along with a package of inspiration and a solid dose of energy.

Here Slowhop will describe your place

Host:
Renata
"Sometimes home has a heartbeat" - just like Oldschool. An original Guest House arranged in a restored 100-year-old rural school, near Krakow. A place created by a woman's hand for Guests looking for peace, inspiration and space. The Oldschool concept is cross-generational and originated from a woman's heart. This is where his strength, sincerity and authenticity come from. Róża is the boss of Oldschool, her daughter Rena created the architecture, interiors and garden design, and the bitch Gracja looks after the business. We invite you to discover Lesser Poland, Upper Silesia and the Beskids - start your adventure in Oldschool!

The interiors that await you have been designed as a nonchalant twist between studied elegance and historical context. You will be greeted by a stylish hall which is a foretaste of the Oldschool space: representative stairs, a panoramic fireplace, antiques found at flea markets, original lamps, i.e. design at its best.  Kitchen: The heart of Oldschool is the light-filled kitchen, which is an integral part of the terrace and garden. In the very center there is a huge granite island, around which your aperitif, creative cooking and long conversations will focus. The elegant whiteness of wooden furniture and deep black granite countertops, broken by a club red sofa, are the quintessence of design and craftsmanship. Salon: The main classroom on the ground floor has been restored as a representative and light-filled lounge. There is both a space for common feasting and conversations at a long table surrounded by armchairs from the old theater, as well as an intimate part with sofas and a huge fireplace in the background. The 100-year-old oak wardrobe, which is a family heirloom, houses tableware for small parties. The added quality is the direct access to the terrace and the garden. The bathroom on the ground floor is a spectacular bathing space: an open walk-in shower with a retro-style rain shower head, a sink and toilet from the classic line of French sanitary facilities, mirrored built-in wardrobes and subtle lighting create a discreet atmosphere. Upstairs bathing salon - imagine bathing in a retro bathtub with a view of the sky at sunrise! A huge chest of drawers covered with marble and collectible accessories are a nod to Polish design. Everything in the style of exuberant whiteness and elegance. 5 Bedrooms are waiting for you: Bedroom "First Class" - a representative bedroom located on the ground floor, with a beautiful view. Two single beds 90 x 200 cm with large headboards in the English style, a wardrobe and a table made of an original 100-year-old mangle as a place to work for two people. A bedroom full of light and elegant white broken with navy blue. Bedroom "Second class" - a charming bedroom upstairs, reduced to a double bed 160 x 200 cm, chest of drawers, table and chairs. The traditional "buffalo eye" frames the view of the garden. Quiet and loved by children. Bedroom "Third Class" - a spacious bedroom on the first floor overlooking the vast garden. A bed 160 x 200 cm, an Art Deco table and a workplace for two, wardrobe, hand-woven rugs. The minimalism of furniture and the abundance of books. Colours: classic white and dignified black. "Fourth Class" Sleeping Room - A high-ceilinged upstairs bedroom with a distant "buffalo eye" view. Bed 160 x 200 cm, wardrobe, pouffe, table under the window for the writer, hand-woven rugs. Style: White energized with orange.  "Fifth grade" - this bedroom is class! Elegant, tall, spacious and stylish. Bed 160 x 200 cm in white leather, Art Deco chest of drawers, oak and tan parquet, original pouffe and hangers. For sleeping, reading and loving...

The house is given to our guests exclusively, along with complete intimacy, in a package with the genius of creation, barbecue and what is given by the garden and orchard. The heart of Oldschool is the kitchen filled with light and ideas, and what determines the willingness to sit in it for hours - a huge island, a sofa, proximity to a garden and a homely atmosphere, like at your mother's ... There are several very original addresses nearby, which I recommend from the heart to test the flavors of Małopolska: - For meat creations and venison on the Pier to Osieka - For craft beer to the Municipal Brewery in Bielsko-Biała - Seasonal slow food from own crops to Bistro Beksien in Bielsko-Biała - For grilled trout to Karczma U Putina in Międzybrodzie

The area will provide you with a wide range of experiences, games and attractions. At a distance of several kilometers you will find: Apilandia in Klecza, Energylandia in Zator, Dinolandia in Inwałd, Zatorland or theme parks in Zator, climbing walls, a rope park and water slides in Czarny Groń ... Due to so many local impulses, I wanted my house and garden to provide you with joy, peace and intimacy. You will find here a huge simple garden for playing badminton, with old climbing trees, a herbarium, an apple-tree swing, a hammock among wisteria, a barbecue and a place for a bonfire, an old well and a pile of firewood.

Spokojna i malownicza okolica. Pani Renata to cudowny gospodarz. Doskonały kontakt, wszystko bezproblemowo. Dziękujemy :)
