A village nursery school in the former Galicia, built with the stubbornness of local residents in 1918. The building was quickly surrounded by trees, planted as goodbyes by students of the oldest grades. The orchard quickly thickened, there was no room for young love drama on the sloping benches, and the old blackboards were harder and harder to wipe off.
We do not know if children skipped school, although they must have, since on one side the rocks of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland invited them to play, on the other side, they had the entire Beskids and the ponds of the Dolina Karpia all around. Time passed at its own pace. There were two wars, several political systems and one fire before something surprising happened to the old school in Łazy.
We invite you to a place that tells two stories. One is the story of an enchanted female architect. The second is a legend about students from a Galician school near Zator. Out of traces of history, the will to return to the roots and high-flying dreams, an extraordinary house was created. It tells the guests a story of growing up, the history of handicrafts and a new beginning. And with respect to what has been, it shows its new face.
We walk here with bare feet, taste strawberries straight from the field, discover all the richness of Lesser Poland and come back to our childhoods when everything was simple and possible. Come on vacation to the old school - you'll get it exclusively, along with a package of inspiration and a solid dose of energy.
The spaces of the old school were designed as a nonchalant twist, between studied elegance and historical context. An integral part of the house is the garden, with old trees, without neighbors, blended into the landscape of ponds and forests of Podbeskidzie.
You will be greeted by a stylish HALL - a foretaste of our interiors - representative stairs, panoramic fireplace, antiques and design at its best.
The heart of Oldschool is the light-filled KITCHEN, an integral part of which is the terrace and garden.
In the very center stands a huge granite island, around which your aperitif, creative cooking and long conversations will focus. The elegant white of wooden furniture and the deep black of granite countertops, broken by a club red sofa are the quintessence of design and craftsmanship.
The main classroom on the ground floor has been restored as a representative LIVING ROOM. There is a space for common feasting at the table surrounded by armchairs from an old theater, as well as an intimate part with sofas and a huge fireplace. The 100-year-old oak wardrobe, a family heirloom, houses tableware for your intimate parties.
THE BATHROOM on the ground floor is a spectacular bathing space: a walk-in shower with a retro-style rain shower, a washbasin and toilet from a classic line of French sanitary ware, mirrored built-in wardrobes and subtle lighting create a discreet atmosphere.
A BATHROOM on the first floor - imagine bathing in a retro bathtub with a view of the sky at sunrise! A huge chest of drawers covered with marble and collectible accessories are a nod to Polish design. Everything in the style of exuberant white and elegance.

What’s there for children?
The area will provide you with a wide range of experiences, entertainment and attractions. Within a few kilometres from us you will discover: Apilandia in Klecza, Energylandia in Zator (Hyperion visible from our windows in the distance), Dinolandia in Inwałd, Zatorland and theme parks in Zator, Mark Miniatur Inwałd, Osada Pingwina Praciaki, climbing walls, rope park and water slides in Czarny Groń...
Due to so many nearby impulses, I wanted my house and garden to provide you with joy, peace and intimacy. Here you will find a huge, idyllic garden for playing badminton, with old trees for climbing, herbaceous flower beds, a swing on an apple tree, a hammock among wisteria, a grill and a place for a bonfire, an old well where you can chop wood for the fireplace yourself, a flower meadow where, among butterflies on a blanket, you will be able to immerse yourself in a long-put aside book, a huge terrace where, with a view of the garden, without nosy neighbors, roses in a dozen or so varieties as a background for photos and an uninterrupted view of the sunsets.
What’s there for employees?
We rent the house exclusively, so you will be in your own familiar circle. We have plenty of space, so you can work from a different position every day. In the common area, i.e. the living room - a dining table for about 10 workstations. Additionally, a large coffee table with sofas for less formal work for about 8 people. On the open mezzanine you will find a 100-year-old school bench with a lifting top, overlooking our beautiful garden and a swinging wicker basket. The house has five bedrooms, three of which have comfortable desks or tables (120x60), chairs and lamps.
